Come here a lot, but usually get orders wrong. The food is good and the service is fast. I ask for the kids' pizza, and they give me a 9 inch pizza instead. They also charge us extra money even though I ordered a kid pizza ,I guess that's why they didn't us a receipt.

Servicio terrible.

Had a fantastic meal here tonight, 22nd of February. There was myself my two sons my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. My son granddaughter and myself had the burger. My daughter-in-law had the vegan burger and my other son had the Highland game casserole. It was excellent. We found that the service was very swift and we were treated very professionally. The prices are a little steep but the quality of the food makes up for that. I have been going to this restaurant since I moved the area 17 years ago and I have never had a bad meal. There was live music in the boots bar, but unfortunately we couldn’t go in because of the age restriction. The only downside of the evening was me forgetting that I had a 20% loyalty card never mind.

Just wanted to leave a quick review from my visit on Friday (10th January) I was camping at Red Squirrel Campsite and decided to visit the Clachaig to by my late Brother a Heavenly Birthday drink. It's a tradition I've carried with me wherever I go since his passing A real heartfelt and sincere thank you to Jay and Johnny (I think, possibly a manager or supervisor?) For being so kind. I won't explain what they did....bit it warmed my heart!!!!! Two wonderful members of stuff who most certainly went above and beyond!!!! The Clachaig is famous, wonderful accommodation and food.....not to mention scenery. But to have such amazing, kind and generous staff......well, that's just fabulous!!!!! I visit two or three times a year, and I hope both those young lads are there on my next visit. Beers are oan me boys!!! 😁💚

Mallaig is a delightful little town and I always enjoy my visits very much. However it can sometimes be a bit of a challenge to find an eaterie open in the winter months! (Thank goodness for the Co-op). However I fell lucky this time and in the centre of town - directly across from the Co-op - was The Tea Garden Cafe. Friendly welcome, nice relaxed chat (despite being busy) and the most delicious sandwich. Everything foodwise reeked of freshness and high quality ingredients. An impressive establishment and enjoyed my visit very much. Thanks all.

Recommended by someone we thought we would give this a try. Lovely decor, good service, well maintained building. The food… the Salmon Cowder was delicious! But the Surf and Turf at a whopping £34 was disappointing. Not a vegetable in sight on the plate! Nada - I couldn’t believe it! A good 1/2 plate of oven chips, steak (which my partner said wasn’t the best). 1 langoustine, 6 mussels and some very small squat lobster maybe about 10. Lucky if they would have given 25g of meat total!! No mushroom, tomato, onion, peas, asparagus even no salad !!! It was a pity as the location, staff etc I couldn’t have faulted.

Came here for Lunch, it is a very popular and busy place. Food was great, although getting a table requires a reservation slip to be filled before you go to get food, which somebody took our table and of course the food went there when we moved. Great place to spend some time and wander round the shop too

Travelling back from Aberdeen and not wanting to finish our first time away without our now adult children, we decided to take the West Coast route home, weather was delightful and the views splendid. Getting tired and hungry we found ourselves in Findhorn a beautiful place nect to the sea. We decided to drop into the Crown and Anchor to see if there was room at the Inn. Luckily there was so after unpacking we went down to the bar for a warm by the fire and a drink. The selection of beers and other refreshments was amazing. After a drinks we took a look at the menu and again not disappointed. We ordered and our meal came promptly. Two empty plates later we had a nightcap from the whisky selection then off the bed for a sound night sleep. The staff are excellent and friendly as are the locals. I highly recommend a visit, we will definitely be back. Thanks Sean an Ruth

New management as Spey inn, Wow, just Sooo good ! We visited hesitantly upon previous Copper Dogg reviews read. But upon arrival we felt a charming and warm welcome greeted us by the romantic candle lit setting followed by courteous and the tastefully accomodating service given.. Whisky cured smoked trout with Salmon Caviar accompanied by haggis bon bons and bourbon glaze, not forgetting the subtle dressing of the traditional steak tartar. A culinary treat was unexpectedly spruced before us. From starters and throughout mains and deserts the experience excelled itself with accompanying wine and menu suggestions. Goat pie, burgers and Ribeye steak were all very good and we strongly recommend anyone considering to partake the Speyside Inn on their offerings, that you should. A wonderful evening was had. We shall see you next time we visit. Staff were great and a big thankyou to Oscar for looking after us Until next time !
