While on a business trip to England, I happened to go there and had the most delicious steak. steak ciabatta sandwich. If I had stayed longer in Scotland, I would have tried other foods, but I couldn't try any more due to my London itinerary. I don't think I'll ever come back again, but it was a truly memorable meal. The best steak and potato chips I've ever had That's the chef. How on earth did you fry those potatoes!!???

Costa Coffee is a busy coffee shop located on Elgin High Street. There is a good choice of food and drink items, and prices are on par with similar outlets in Elgin. However, I have two criticisms. There are not enough staff. Tables are not cleared quickly, and the counter staff who are very hard working are overwhelmed at busy times, causing queues and resulting in long waits for drinks and any hot food ordered.

Stopped in today for lunch with the dog, really great food, friendly staff, and speedy service.

We spent three lovely nights at Ardshealach Lodge, on a bed and Breakfast basis, and chose to have dinner there each evening. The standard of accomodation was excellent, huge bed, large bedroom and lovely views. This is such a relaxing place with a wonderful warm and inviting welcome where nothing is too much trouble. As always the standard of food was superb as was the service. We have eaten here before and would definitely come back to stay again.

Lovely city centre pub right next to the castle. Visited twice during our stay, both early evening. Booking is essential as on both occasions all the tables in the dog friendly bar were full. All the staff were friendly, even on Friday and Saturday evenings, when it can get quite busy. The food is very good and excellent value for money. Keep an eye on the specials board. My wife tried the macaroni cheese and smoked salmon from it and was really impressed. On our first visit I had the haggis, neeps and tatties, while my wife had the cullen skink. Both were excellent. On our second visit I had the battered haddock & chips, which was large and delicious. Please be aware that there are multiple tv screens in the place showing sport and entertainment programmes, sometimes at the same time. Perhaps not the place for a romantic cosy occasion. However, it has a good atmosphere and would thoroughly recommend visiting when you’re in Inverness
