Another great evening here As usual the staff were friendly and welcoming. A special thanks for the birthday card and candles, a perfect ending to a lovely day. You are the best.

Maybe caught them on a bad day? On that one experience I would say avoid. Service was struggling and slow. Restaurant was not full. Half the order didn't come out fully cooked. After waiting over an hour wasn't willing to wait longer for recook. No discount offered though asked on the poorly cooked dishes. Given a empty ketchup bottle. Maybe recycling was full 🤔 Easy access from road and parking. Hopefully manger gets things up to speed. Would make a decent goto when travelling Inverness.

Cosy, laidback dining with a cottage core aesthetic. The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially Nix who was refreshingly genuine. She was appropriately attentive- not disruptive to the flow of conversation and knows the menu well, offering recommendations and modifications based on individual preferences which the kitchen lads (Ryan and Christian) kindly accommodated. The food was well presented, hearty sized portions and arrived at the same time which is quite a feat given the group size and the variety of food ordered.

Popped in for a quick lunch when passing through. Fast service, good food, decent prices.

The chicken pie was very good! Our server Nicole was cheerful and quick to meet our needs. We happened on the Snow Goose thanks to Google and loved our visit.

Had roast beef from sunday carvery which was ok, the rest was terrible, carrots and parsnip over done and roast potatoes were like rubber , obviously been under a heat lamp for too long, the food was luke warm and one of our party sent food back to be heated in microwave. Sorry but my 12 year old grand-daughter could do better.

Lovely Trio Sunday Roast cooked to perfection by Ryan. What a plateful too! Our server was Nicole who did her very best to ensure we were served promptly and that everything was to our liking. Havent been to the Snow Goose for few years now but will definitely be back.

We ate here 2 nights running as we were staying at the Holiday inn express. Offers a good range of pub food. Enjoyed both meals. The first evening we had booked a table. The service was mostly efficient, but abrupt. No effort at welcome or friendliness. Asked if everything was okay, but didn't wait for an answer. Second night we had not booked, so we're offered a table in the bar. Different staff on duty. Service was a bit more friendly. Would use again, but would probably book a table. Enjoyed the pineapple spritz.

Lovely restaurant and surroundings. Our waitress was a lovely girl (think her name was Katie) I do love my lasagne and pretty much have it whenever I eat out. I will only eat homemade though. Asked the waitress if the lasagne was homemade, as never been to this restaurant before. She did not know and did not take the initiative to ask. Thought I would try it anyway, as the pies were homemade. Unfortunately the lasagne was not homemade. It was very runny with red sauce. It was not layered together the way it should be in a more solid consistency. The whole dish was sloppy with not enough mince filling. The red sauce left a residue around the rim of the dish. A homemade lasagne would not do this. A homemade lasagne usually costs £15.50. One that is not homemade is usually around £8/9. So overpriced for what it is. The salad was nice, but could have been presented better. About 4 lettuce leafs at bottom of a separate pot. I would have chopped the lettuce. I would however return, as family went with, all 3 had the burger which was lovely. Wished I'd had that now. Waitress asked if everything ok when we'd finished and she collected the plates. I said the lasagne was not homemade and not very nice. She said nothing.

Very nice place to enjoy a quiet, relaxing dinner. The design in very welcoming, quaint and charming. Old world decor and ambience. Additionally, great place to just enjoy a pint of great local beer. Overall great experience and would recommend.

Me and my family came to have dinner here at The Snow Goose, i came with with my 2 dogs and this place is very dog friendly even providing treats and an outdoor space for us to eat. The food is delicious and didn't take for us to be served and our food came to us within 20 mins, the lady at the till was very friendly and just overall great

Loved how close this beautiful restaurant was to the Holiday Inn Express! Really good food, and perfect for coming off the plane and needing a quality meal. The ambiance was lovely, and Nicole was a great server!

Our waitress Nicole was fab and friendly and interacted great with the bairns. Food was tasty and great portion sizes too.

Have been here a few times before and have always loved the food. Delicious food but was disappointed on Saturday as the food could have been a little hotter. No complaints on the Deliciousness but as I said, would have enjoyed it more if the food had been hotter. We shall be back though

This was our first visit when we went in for lunch on Friday. Welcoming staff, we had our dog, and got seating in the doggie corner. Wonderful food and nice relaxed atmosphere.

Went for drinks was served by Daniel on the bar. Great service especially when he was busy noticed we were waiting and made sure the wait time was reduced by working hard. Had great knowledge on the beers on draft and the single malt whiskeys. Would definitely recommend

We had such a lovely meal tonight at the snow goose. Our server was Hally, she had such a lovely bubbly personality. We went for the weekend menu and the pork belly was particularly good so shout out to the chefs Ryan and Selena for that! The lemon tart was just that, a bit on the tart side but a nice palate cleanser at the end of our meal and you can’t beat a bit of sticky toffee pud! All in all a great meal and would recommend! Definitely be back 😁

The snow goose is a wonderful restaurant that I've been going to for years, the food is consistently the best in Inverness and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Tonight I was served by Nicole who went above and beyond to make sure it was a good evening of food, drink, and snacks. I will continue to visit and hope others will give it a shot even if it's a bit out of the way.

Nicole was amazing with her service and attention. Chef Ryan provides delicious dishes. We and the fish and chips,chicken sandwich and scallops with prawns.

No sauces delivered with order, ordered peppercorn for the steak and bbq with the snack and got nothing.

The service, at the table and the till, left a lot to be desired.

Went back to Snow goose a week after our first visit also on a Sunday night (see prior review at bottom) hoping to repeat the experience but alas very disappointed. Firstly the starter of crispy chicken had pieces that were cold in the middle and had to be sent back. The second time round it was fine. Had ordered haddock again ( see below) and it also came out undercooked- a bit soft and slightly translucent rather than flaky - had to send that back. Another piece of haddock was brought out table and i could see it hadn't been cooked properly as the batter was too brown and still a bit oily - obviously had been fried in oil that was too hot and for too short a time. Cut into that and it was clearly undercooked - pinkish and soft in places. Manageress came over and was apologetic so agreed to give up on the haddock and ordered a chicken pie which was okay. Waitress throughout was very good and professional i.e polite and understanding no hesitation in replacing the obviously unsatisfactory dishes. Manageress also very good and I think a bit embarrassed by the problems. All my food orders were taken off the bill ( including the crispy chicken and the pie) to make amends. So there were some very significant failings in the kitchen that night but the front of house staff did all they could to make amends Never in 45+ years of eating out have i had to send back three dishes, even my wifes calamari starters was only marginally warm enough, so have revised my original 4 stars review down to 1 stars which is a pity. -- Original 4 * review from previous week---- Food was pretty good pub food the haddock was good as were the garlic mushrooms. Nice decor - service friendly and started well but they sort of took their eye off the ball towards end of meal despite/ because of it being pretty quiet

Dreadful meal. The calamari was mostly greasy batter with a slither of calamari. The chicken in the salad was inedible as it was bone dry. The staff were very pleasant.

Been here three times now for Sunday roast, it's so good! So many options, I highly recommend the lamb roast. The restaurant is so cosy and homely, and there is plenty of free parking. Their desserts are great, especially the banana choux bun!

Beautiful meal, I loved my burger, others on table enjoyed their lasagne, fish and macaroni. Finished off with beautiful crumble and custard. Chef was apparently Luke- fab food. Keira our waitress- cannot fault

Good solid food, efficiently served in a pleasant family friendly atmosphere. Well looked after by Holly who delighted our four old by bringing a plate of carrot for his favourite toy bunny, and then drawing a sweet picture of bunny. Good work!

took the wife to the the snow goose for valentines day had to wait 30 minutes for the food i had the special burger and the wife had the sea bass. the burger was piping hot u could tell it had microwaved i got 2 small onion rings and a cup of chips thay didnt offer any sauces of vinegar the buger bum was wet and soggy very poor. the wifes seabass was no better it was given in a big bowl mixed veg everything was dry the fish was over cooked and the king pron had a funny tasre to it it was was very poor and the sticky toffe puddin was very poor as i was given no option of ice cream i was give custard that was dissapointed wouldnt go there again its not how i remenber it. just a heads up the day after the 15/2/2025 my wife was very stomach ache and cramps and severe diarreah and she is still very ill the prawns were smellin and tastein fishy very poor

Unexpected visit to Inverness and booked at last minute. The food was very nice thanks to Luke (usually I’m very critical), our waitress Emma was excellent and never batted an eyelid when a glass smashed on the floor- not even a sly eye roll! The staff were very very busy however I still felt that the service was excellent, professional and super friendly. The snow goose and vintage inns should be proud of their staff. We will return in the near future.

We had a lovely meal at the Snow Goose. Rather disappointed at first to be sitting in the conservatory part with a cold draft around my ears. Emma was on hand though and soon sorted it. We ended up in a, cosy corner enjoying the most delicious Hunters Chicken. The evening was saved. Thanks to Luke for the food. We will be back.

The food the service the atmosphere is impeccable, I have never ate at a better restaurant/bar in my life. I was getting served by a young Scottish handsome individual behind the bar and his skills and pint pouring technique was outstanding I was in shock I am never going anywhere ever again!!

Valentine’s Day evening meal. Thank goodness we booked. What an amazing and wonderful place. The service was excellent, Tom went out of his way to ensure that everything was perfect. Food was cooked to perfection. The menu selection was really good. Every member of staff was rushed off their feet, but they still managed to smile and deliver. I felt very sorry for the manager as many, many people just “turned up” hoping for a table, he unfortunately had to turn them away as the place was fully booked. Yes there were empty tables, but they had been reserved. Surely the majority of people realise that to be able to dine out on Valentine’s evening a booking is a must, you wouldn’t just turn up on Mothering Sunday or Christmas Day for lunch without booking a table.

Went on valentines day and food was delicious. Starter mains and dessert. Server was keira and she was amazing. Very happy and helpful. Would highly recommend. More on the pricey end but food well worth it for a nice time out. Atmosphere was very lovely as well

Wrong items delivered and when I called the restaurant they asked if the food could be returned so it could be sent to the intended customer. Shocking that they planned to send the same food to the intended customer despite it being cold and delivered to the wrong address.

Had the signature burger which was massively overcooked and very dry. Both the burger and the chips weren't very hot, pretty disappointing.

Meal was OK but didn't get all 4 meals at the same time. Had to wait a wee while for the 4th plate with no reason for delay. Colas were flat and had to be changed and overall bit pricey. No atmosphere in the room. Maybe we were in the wrong part and easily forgotten. Put me off trying it again.
