Food is good and is nice having all the macros but service is absolutely shocking, took 20 minutes to take our order and then had to wait a while for food. We went up and asked for the bill as no one had came over for a while and they told us to sit and someone would bring it. After 10 minutes of no one coming we had to ask again and wait on someone coming over with it.

Vinimos aquí para una comida familiar en nuestra última noche en Glasgow, decidimos tener el trato chateaubriand, la carne era perfectamente rara y la textura era maravillosamente tierna. También estaba bien condimentado con un buen tirón en el exterior, un corte de carne realmente delicioso. Lovely hotel perfectly located in a quiet village just outside of Glasgow. The rooms were pleasant, clean and well kept. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all really nice too. We had a really nice stay. Would recommend and definitely hope to stay again!

We cannot thank the team at the National Piping Centre enough for making our wedding weekend absolutely perfect! From start to finish, everything went off without a hitch, allowing us to feel completely relaxed and enjoy every moment of our special day. The venue looked stunning, the food was out of this world, and the care and attention we received throughout the weekend were second to none. It truly was the best day of our lives, and we owe it all to the tireless efforts of Emily, Natalie, and the entire team who went above and beyond to make everything so perfect. If you're looking for a venue that offers incredible service, breathtaking settings, and unforgettable memories, we can wholeheartedly recommend the National Piping Centre.

He cenado en Cebolla Roja un par de veces y esta fue mi mejor experiencia. Estaba aquí con mi marido y el entrante de vieiras estaba delicioso! Después de charlar sobre el entrante de pollo bang bang que había tenido un par de veces antes, Andrea trajo una pequeña muestra de él para que mi marido lo probara, que fue un toque encantador. Tenía el pollo limón con salsa korma para mi principal. Fue hermoso, pero me decepcionó que en lugar del tzatziki que decía que vendría, era más cohete con un aderezo. We all selected from the Market Menu which we found was a reasonable variety for us to select lunch. Each course was excellent and we all really enjoyed the food.

Beautiful building and decorated to a high spec inside. Food was delicious for all 3 courses. Service was good but less personable than you’d get with the smaller restaurants.

I am a regular at The Smiddy and feel the staff are most welcoming, thoughtful, responsive and friendly. However, on a recent visit (Wed 30/4) a very common issue/problem raised its head once more. On this particular afternoon there was one member of staff behind the bar. This poor girl had the task of serving customers who wanted a drink, customers who were ordering food and delivering food to both customers inside and outside the pub. There was also an instance where she had to go and change the Madri barrel on top of the aforementioned tasks. The girl's remit for the day was completely unachievable and impacted negatively on the service provided. I can only stress again that this is not a criticism in any shape or form on the staff but simply do not understand that such a problem is not an isolated incident.
