I adore this establishment; it's perfect for enjoying expertly crafted cocktails and socializing or for a delightful dining experience, as the food is superb. I've always had a wonderful time here. The staff are attentive, and the leisurely drink service enhances the calm, relaxed ambience, particularly when there's live music in the upstairs bar. The interior design alone is worth a visit.

I really wanted to love this place..especially as I chose it for a catch up with friends. The building and vibe are lovely.....servers were good but the food was not I'm afraid...and the pictures from influencers and on Instagram are VERY different to the reality. My baked eggs were very over done...I left most of the dish, and my friends eggs were cold. Really disappointing, such a shame.

Decore is pretty. But food wasn't great, me and my freinds all got the breakfast. However 2 out of 4 were served and we were left waiting for 20 minutes for the rest. Then 1 was entirely wrong and had to be sent back. We got 10% off which wasn't enough in my opinion and not much of an apology. The food was very meh for all of the hassle. Wouldn't recommend brunch.

Popped in here for brunch on the off chance of getting a table on a Wednesday afternoon without booking, and we did. Lovely decor and lots of candles. Service was very friendly and welcoming, food was absolutely delicious, really tasty and well presented. The almond croissants were massive, just wow! For where this place is, prices are very reasonable, compared to other places we have been to. Will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch food and experience here on a quiet Saturday morning. I ordered the Avocado toast and my poached egg was perfect, as was the seasoning in the smashed avocado. Hubby ordered the poached egg dish with black pudding (can’t remember the name) and same - it was delicious! Our cappuccinos were good as well and the service was friendly and quick. At around £10 per plate with a beautiful setting and ambience, this is a go-to brunch spot for us.

On the day I arrived, I made a reservation and visited for dinner while taking a walk before checking in. I ordered a single Scotch from 2 Shiru with an iced side and compared the drinks. Both are delicious 😋 I ordered the anchovies because they were raw. Satisfied with simple fresh vinegar pickles. I was disappointed that the scallops were smaller than I expected and I would have liked to have eaten a little more, but the strawberry and pineapple sauce and fig sauce that came with it? It was also delicious. The steak was just the right amount of rare, and the sauce was very interesting and delicious. I ordered cream greens on the side. Is it mashed? That's what I thought, but it was creamy and delicious with three-week greens. I liked it so much that I made a reservation for the day after tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the desserts didn’t live up to our expectations. I chose the Bounty cake, and my partner had a croissant. Both items were not fresh enough: the cake was too hard, and the croissant was dry. The staff acknowledged that the desserts were likely prepared the day before and kindly removed them from the bill. However, such moments can affect the overall impression of the establishment, and it would be great if the pastries were always fresh. The first floor of the restaurant impresses with its cozy and elegant atmosphere: dark tones, soft furniture, numerous candles, and a stylish fireplace create a pleasant environment. The interior has a vibe similar to bars like Devil of Brooklyn, making it particularly appealing to fans of that aesthetic. The restaurant also has a second floor, which we unfortunately didn’t have time to visit, but we plan to do so next time. Overall, Saints of Ingram is a venue with great potential, attracting attention not only for its interior but also for its high-quality cuisine. Despite a few minor shortcomings, the restaurant remains an excellent choice for brunch in a cozy setting. Sometimes you visit places where the staff is friendly, sometimes it's a bit more. But here we came in and it felt like meeting friends! They are so lovely and they take time to know their costumers! Just had the high tea and it was excellent, the tiny cakes on the top of the tier were 🤤 we both highly recommend. Looked after by Cameron who delivered first class customer service with a down to earth demeanor. Nothing was a bother, a wee tip is to ask him to take pics of you to capture the moment as he is fantastic at that. We visited here after purchasing an itison voucher. The place isnt the same as when it was a steak place. It's rundown and dirty inside... womens toilets - 3 cubicles. 1 was locked, 1 was overflowing post flush and the third had no lock on it - so essentially had a peep hole. Doesnt look like they hire a cleaner. The food was small in portion size and they forgot the 3rd course so after waiting 25 minutes for ice-cream we cancelled it! I couldn't recommend this place to anyone. The staff were very welcoming and did their best but the food was not worthy of the price tag. We paid extra for the scallops which, when arriving were really fishy they didn't smell too healthy. The pasta was so bland and the prawns had purple veins running through them. Was really off putting. We both ended up with an upset stomach too. We spent in total over £100 as we also ordered a bottle - which the staff brought to the table to show us but then said they couldnt open it so had to take it to the kitchen for the chef to open.. Just bizarre. I'd be surprised if the place lasts much longer.

Fantastic food in a stunning venue. The upstairs dining area is so beautiful, set in a historic building with high ceilings and a striking bar. Our dinner was delicious, we enjoyed a sea bass dish and prawn linguine, and we tried a couple of excellent cocktails. It's a bit on the pricey side but we thought it's totally worth its value and great for a special occasion.

Great staff and lovely drinks. The issue was when we came in and ordered drinks the waiter said "Ill get you your drinks and bring you some nuts". These were pretty disgusting and stale, but it was fine under the assumption they were free. Saw at the end we had been charged £4, which is £4.50 with the mandatory service charge. Its not really about the money. You don't want to feel tricked into buying something you didn't want in the first place.

It came with 4 thin slices of fried potato topped with a small spoonful of greens topped with a piece of cod which was about 2 inches by 2.5 inches. Looked more like a starter! I mentioned it when I paid the bill. My husband's venison was served luke warm on a cold plate. We mentioned this to waiter ,not as a complaint really as it tasted good ,but more as a helpful observation. Sadly I wouldn't be recommending this restaurant as value for money.

The American gentleman and his colleague served us on Saturday 2 September and delivered a fab experience with "bartender's choice" options and lots of knowledge, passion and welcoming atmosphere the moment we stepped foot into the bar. The place has a great atmosphere for a drink and have a date chat. The service was great. We were disappointed about the food. For the price we pay I would expect the meat to be a proper cooked temperature and generally the food to have a flavor. I had the pleasure of dining here with some friend last-night , we enjoyed everything that was put in front us . The food was nothing short of amazing and the chefs went out their way to adapt some items to our intolerances like the monk fish with earl grey glaze ( Stunning ) . The wine list caters to everyone and is very fairly priced ; The service and atmosphere is perfect for dining out with friends or for something more intimate. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for good food and solid drink options and one more big shout out to the staff who are absolute amazing at what they do . I will definitely be back !

Be careful when reading these reviews, as the old Hutchesons reviews are embedded within this. Service was mediocre. The waitress didn't know what the menu offerings were on the market menu. Our food was brought out without cutlery - rather than make this a priority, the hostess instructed someone else to sort it leaving us sitting staring at our food. It wasn't particularly busy so there was no reason for service to be soo poor!

We both commented on how dim the lighting was, atmosphere is one thing, having to use a mobile torch app to see the menu is quite another!My husband opted for half a dozen oysters @ £1 each - a Friday evening deal. I ordered the mushroom and truffled brioche with duck egg. Three oysters were placed in front of Hubbie, he had to ask for the other three which were delivered quickly, and all were dispatched equally quickly with gusto! My starter was delicious if a little miserly. For mains I ordered whole lemon sole and Hubbie ordered monkfish and then we waited, and waited whilst the restaurant got darker and darker.When my fish finally arrived it was overcooked and the fish had the consistency of cotton wool, the monkfish was okay but perhaps not the freshest piece of monkfish in Glasgow that day. I should have sent my fish back and I am annoyed with myself that I didn't. I ate less than half of it and pointed out to the server it was overcooked.We ordered espresso and asked for the bill. The server said she had taken off the cost of the oysters off the bill and hadn't charged for the espressos as a goodwill gesture, we paid the bill and left.When we got to a venue where there was adequate lighting we realised we had been charged for nine oysters and refunded for six!!!Hutchesons, please put that money towards paying your leccie bill and switch on another couple of lights.

From start to finish this couldn’t have been a better experience. Having bought vouchers for one of the sister restaurants, I had to contact the restaurant via email where the manager Emma was ever so helpful and kind in organising their use at Hutchesons. It was for my wife’s birthday and like a lot of men - I didn’t listen. I’m so glad it all worked out as our three course Sunday Roast was phenomenal. The staff were very attentive but not overly so, insisting on taking all our jackets, always topping up our water, getting another round of drinks, clearing tables and checking on our enjoyment of each dish - it was like clockwork. There was no pressure to eat and beat it - I was very impressed. In terms of food I thought the Mushroom and Truffle Oil soup was outstanding with lovely, thick-sliced, fresh bread to accompany it which set me up nicely for the main dish - a beautifully presented Roast Rump of Scotch Beef. Perfectly cooked through with nicely glazed vegetables, roast potatoes, a cracking, big, crispy Yorkshire pudding and a lovely smooth gravy boat which was more than enough for each plate. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding - highly recommended along with the creme brûlée. My wife’s had a little ‘happy birthday’ message made out of chocolate which was a nice touch.We aren’t the kind of people to shout about special occasions when out but having mentioned in the email about my wife’s birthday I did notice that the staff were aware of it and acknowledged it off their own accord - simple things make the biggest impression.Also, I didn’t get the names of any of the staff sadly but the girl with the more wavy/curlier blonde hair of those that were working was superb! She was really efficient, pleasant and made our visit that bit more enjoyable - thank you all round! We will definitely be back ... and soon!!

Al hacer la reserva, verifiqué si podía dejar algunas cosas para la mesa antes del almuerzo y me dijeron que no era un problema, lo cual hice debidamente. Cuando llegamos para nuestra reserva, las 21 decoraciones de la calle no estaban sobre la mesa y tuve que preguntar a dos personas dónde estaban y si podíamos tenerlas. El personal no podría haber estado menos interesado y nadie ofreció una explicación o una disculpa por no tener la mesa lista como habíamos pedido. El servicio durante toda la comida era pobre, con bebidas que llevaban mucho tiempo y el personal tardaba en responder a las solicitudes. Un miembro del personal finalmente se disculpó y ofreció una bebida a todos los miembros del grupo. Después de 20 minutos de espera, nos fuimos. Al salir, hablé con un miembro del personal para expresar mi decepción. Me entregaron una tarjeta con una dirección de correo electrónico y me dijeron que me pusiera en contacto con ellos si quería "algo gratis". Ese no era mi punto. Telefoneé al restaurante y hablé con alguien que se disculpó y le dije que lo buscaría y me enviaría un correo electrónico con el resultado. No ha habido comunicación de ellos. Exasperados y sorprendidos, alrededor de 10 a 15 minutos después de llegar nos sentamos.Pedimos bebidas. Nos dejaron esperando de nuevo. Durante este tiempo, un camarero parecía inmerso en los intereses de una despedida de soltera. Preguntamos dónde estaban las bebidas, explicando que ya habíamos esperado un tiempo significativo. Preguntamos de nuevo y nos dijeron que venían las bebidas. Unos minutos más tarde, fui al bar a ordenar directamente. Hutchesons vino altamente recomendado. Al escapar a la noche, fuimos al lugar alternativo más cercano, Brewdog. Estábamos un poco desbordados, pero a pesar de que Brewdog se había convertido en una cadena multinacional, el servicio era amable, eficiente, atento y auténtico, todo lo que Hutcheson no era.Nunca he dicho esto antes sobre un restaurante basado solo en el servicio, pero le diríamos a las personas que lo eviten. Parece que el propietario necesita una gestión decente. Otros lugares concurridos son difíciles de manejar, especialmente los fines de semana, pero se puede hacer.

The restaurant and food were brilliant, firstly the welcome we got was very welcoming by Gary the bar manager, he escorted us to the restaurant upstairs. We were seated and Ross the waiter served us throughout the night, his table skills we're superb, the food was to die for, steak I had was perfectly cooked and my wife's lobster was huge and she loved it. The building itself is stunning both inside and outside. We definitely will be back.

Never before have I been so pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. The ceiling cornicing was breathtaking. Rarely do you get to dine in such a beautiful building. I’ve noticed a few one star reviews, which are absolute nonsense!!! Please do not be discouraged by unreasonable people. I’ve worked in restaurants for over 15 years and some people just do not realise how difficult it can be to ensure the smooth running of restaurant. Hutchesons, in my opinion, did an outstanding job! Very impressive. As for the food. My husband and I both agree that our meal last night was in our top 3 most delicious meals we’ve ever had. Melt in the mouth. You could taste every flavour on the plate. Absolutely outstanding. Our server Ross was great. Lovely chatty guy and very hardworking. We also had the assistant manager and general manager come over to thank us for our compliments of the food and of Ross. Too often people are too quick to complain and point blame for the most trivial of things. I am only too happy to leave amazing feedback when we’ve had such an amazing experience. We’re already planning on going back and would highly recommend Hutchesons to all of our family and friends!

I dined with a group of friends colleagues. The restaurant is large but the tables and the seats are uncomfortable. The service was confused and insufficient. We were served fish ( monkfish) and scotch chateubriand, a filet, all at same time with a fixed side dish ( a few fried potatoes).

We booked a deal through 5 p.m., a table for 2 at 7:00 p.m. We arrived early at 6:40 p.m. and didnt expect to be seated. We checked in and waited in the coctail bar, We were offered cocktails (twice) but hadddn't planned to have any. 7 pm came and went. Despit being in clear view of the booking clerk, and the only people waiting, nobody offered any update on when we might be shown to our table. At 7:10 pm, still no communicatiion, so we approaced the booking clerk and informed her we would be eating elsewhere. She didn't seem to care.

It was a lovely meal in a wonderful setting. Unfortunately the experience was a bit mitigated by a problem with the bill. There was an error in which we were overcharged by a third, and when we politely pointed this out, the bill was removed to check. Eventually we had to ask again about the bill and were handed the correct bill (after half an hour of waiting) with no acknowledgement or apology for the mistake. The delay meant we missed the start of our film. A lovely meal apart from that.

Loved this place. From beginning to end, great, service, food and cocktails. They differentiate well between those looking for a more formal experience and, us, who were looking for a more relaxed approach.We were served by Waheed, who was an absolute addition to the day. The food was fantastic, and have to highlight the Espuma of haddock, fabulous. We went to the cocktail bar after the lunch and the fabulous service continued. Also superb cocktails. Highly recommend this restaurant .

Where to start? Beautiful room but ambient it’s not! Because of the accoustics, the first thing that hit me was the noise. Loud music and chatter. The bar downstairs was more quiet! Tables are very close together meaning you can hear every word from your neighbour better than you can hear your dining partner which stunts conversation. The waitress had difficulty hearing. We ordered Melon and Feta - tiniest portion and Seafood soup which was basically a clotted cream effort with bisque on the side. Main issue with this was the langoustine plopped on top. Obviously it had to be removed from the bowl to extract meat from shell. There was no implement to crack the shell so my hands ended up covered in gloop, while fighting with a hearty crustacean - and yes I’m very familiar with languostines. It was tasty enough but not worth the £14 we lost on it. Next came Chateubriand and a whole lot of confusion over what sides were included. I chose mash and garlic onions. We requested it to be cooked medium. It was rare. It was also the toughest piece of fillet I’ve ever had. The mash was really not pleasant and the mushrooms were definitely not fresh. The sweet was not much better. Because of the noise, the server mistook ‘Cheese cake’ for ‘cheese board’. I’d say this restaurant is trying to be upmarket in price but all it’s achieving is pretentious. I’ve had better steaks in a cafe. Doubt we’ll be back.

We have been eating here for about two years. Mainly special occasions because if you aren’t getting a deal the steaks can add up but that’s expected for steak. Would say it’s no more expensive than other steak places. The service has always been great, even in instances where the steak was over cooked. No questions or disagreements it was just taken away and replaced. That has only happened once. If you can get a deal then go for it because the quality doesn’t go down. Lovely place looking forward to many more steaks from here

We had to wait 15mins for our reservation while the table was made perfect - when we got there, there was a dirty glass, champagne arrival wasn’t there, were told that our starters would be arriving in five minutes without a drinks order even being taken. The food was average at best when we did receive it. Cuts of steak weren’t as we were led to believe (having paid for more expensive ones). Second time here and wouldn’t go back following this experience

Myself and my wife visited La Vita on the evening of Sunday 16th Feb, we booked a table and arrived promptly, we waited approx 10 mins for our table which considering it was busy wasn't too bad. We we're shown to our table on the top floor and we're seated by a very friendly member of staff, and this is where the problems start. The table we were given was in a very narrow area where it appeared it had been placed just to add more seating, 3 or 4 tables were placed like this, with a table to our left with a 1 foot gap and and table to my right with approx 1.5 foot gap. The waiters serving the tables around us couldn't get through easily without constantly bumping our chairs and to make matters worse, where we were sitting was also the route to the rest rooms. Unfortunately, throughout the evening we had waiters almost knock our drinks twice and only saved due to my panther like reflexes, and had my started pushed by a bum once and main meals twice by people squeezing past to go to the restrooms. Although the food was delicious and service couldn't be faulted with very apologetic waiters, my concern is that management took the decision to place extra tables for increased monetary gain rather than customer comfort and the serious health & Safety issues if an emergency was to occur. This was our 1st visit to La Vita and unfortunately would not be returning which is a shame because we did enjoy our meal and service couldn't be faulted.
