Lovely restaurant in a pretty village. The mothers day fixed menu was great value. Fa tasting smoked mackerel and roast dinner although e beef was a little tough. The staff were so friendly and really attentive. A lovely way to spend a Sunday lunchtime.

My Dad and I enjoyed a thoroughly delicious, delightful lunch here. It was quiet but didn't lack atmosphere, beautiful old build full of charm, but with important aspects such as a wheelchair accessible entrance and toilet. Ben looked after us and was kind and attentive in all the ways that matters to us when we're having a treat of good food!

We have dined here before and have always had a lovely meal. However, tonight we had to wait over an hour for our food. We could see tables who came in after us getting served before us which was very disappointing, especially as we were there with our 2 children who were getting very hungry. Front of house staff were lovely and we did get a discount for the wait but we would have preferred to not have that experience.

Popped in on our way to loch Lomond, so glad we did. We had the sandwich and cakes with the quality coffee. The service is very professional, the young blonde girl and the Liverpool lady are l credit to the cafe, very clean and a wonderful choice of food and drink. It would be good if they did a soup and a sandwich deal and possibly a few other deals. That said, it's a five star cafe with five star staff .

We discovered this cafe by chance on our way to Loch Lomond. It is small and intimate and spotlessly clean. We only had a toastie and cake but the quality of the food was excellent and service was warm and friendly. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Small shop downstairs but a very nice cafe upstairs. (Have a look at the cakes in the shop before you go upstairs otherewise you may have to go back down to choose). The baking was very nice and excellent coffee. These coupled with very friendly staff means I would definitely recommend. They also do lunches and an all day breakfast which looked very good value.

Fabuloso. No sabía qué esperar, pero era un cumpleaños familiar de alguien que era miembro. La comida y el ambiente era excelente. Normalmente no soy fan de los filetes, pero pedí el plato principal de surf y césped y el filete estaba tan tierno y todo el plato era excelente. Un montón de gambas de buen tamaño y sabrosa verdura. Todos los demás tuvieron buenas opciones. Y los entrantes también fueron buenos. Muy recomendable

loved the scenery, loved the food, staff were excellant, and they had a great sense of humour, sitting at the log fire in entrance late at night was very relaxing.

Absolutely outstanding. Lovely welcome. Place clean and tidy. Barlady happy and chirpy. Logburner fire, place was lovely and warm Husband had the pie. They're handmade and full to the brim. Best pie he's ever had (his words). I had Balmoral chicken which was delicious. Cocktails made from scratch so of course I had a cosmopolitan... Perfect :-) No room for pudding...! Do we recommend the place, absolutely 💯

Lovely little bar area with a great atmosphere. The food was good. The only thing was it said hand cut chips, they were definitely not hand cut. It would have been 5 stars all day if it was. Would definitely eat here again.

Stopped in with a couple of friends after a morning's walking. It was after 'normal' lunch time and we weren't sure what, if anything, would be on offer. (We just wanted a light-ish snack.) We were pleasantly surprised by the flexible offer of a range of sandwiches, snacks and smaller portions. Each of the three of us opted for a half-portion of fish and chips. Tasty, well-cooked food served fresh and hot. The dining and bar area are spacious, well-decorated and comfortable. Welcome and service were notably friendly and efficient. I was also given an opportunity to view the Indian Restaurant (?Nanja) which is part of the Kirkhouse Inn. This is a delightfully styled space and I would really like to try it. So, overall, a really good lunch experience where the food, the drink, the staff and the environment worked perfectly in harmony. A place to be re-visited!

Tried for the first time today. We are a family of 4. Food was amazing. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Although it was raining we were still able to go round and feed the animals. The goats were a wee highlight! We’ll definitely be back soon.
