The Clachan provided a fabulous night out for a family occasion. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect and the food was exceptionally good and well priced. From start to finish we were very well looked after by polite attentive staff and it looked like everyone in the restaurant was having a great evening also. Everyone at our table enjoyed a great night. Well done all.

Great meal today. We ate in the bar where we could sit with our dog. Mix of tourists, locals and walkers gave a great vibe in the cosy bar area (fire was on). Food was first class! The seafood trio starter and Hake main course were both delicious. Have to mention the brownie dessert, both the brownie and accompanying honeycomb were homemade and were fantastic! Will definitely return!

First licenced in 1734, the Clachan is truly an ancient Inn. Nowadays it is a very smart restaurant and bar, and although the dining side is clearly a huge part of the business, I like that they have a separate bar. The bar is very smart and while you can also eat here it is primarily a place to relax with a drink. With music on stream, telly on mute, lovely decor, and comfortable seating it is a great place to sit at the bar and enjoy a good pint of Tennents.

I stayed here for one night whilst doing the West Highland Way. I had the downstairs twin. The bathroom had a shower and was not shared, even though it was not an en suite. The room was warm and clean. Sadly the TV and WiFi didn't work when I was there but apparently it was due to be fixed. I ate dinner in the pub (booked a table). The food was great. A good sized portion and lovely venison. If dinner is anything to go by, it is a shame they don't do breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, in spite of being really busy.

Fantastic through and through. Fabulous warm welcome from every member of the team and food that was second to none. It is a must book as we saw so many people turned away or waiting over an hour with possibly only a seat in the car area. Old pub that has kept its heritage and fabulous food that we went twice on a visit to the area. A great selection from pub classics to pizza to vegetarian to steak and deserts to die for. The lemon trio and sticky toffee pudding were amazing. No brainer for us a must if you are in the area

Stayed at Clachan Inn whilst on West Highland Way. Great bar and separate restaurant. Worth booking.. gets busy. Busy for a reason. Food we had was lovely. Steak pie I had was tender with large fat free pieces of steak. Ice Cream.. Wow ! 3 large, and I mean large scoops £4.50 ... ( can order 1 ,2 etc £1.50 each. ) . Service by the young staff was excellent.

Stopped here for a quick drink but the food especially the pizzas looked appetising so decided to order one. I like plain pizzas and my husbaznd likes a topping (ie pepperoni). We just wanted to share and asked if we ordered a topped pizza could they just leave one side plain but this was refused. The pizzas are made to order so what would have taken to make a plain one and lay a few slices of pepperoni or whatever on one side? Nice wee place, would probably have rated 5/5 if they had been just a bit more accommodating!

Friendly staff, especially the barman, who took time out to welcome and treat our rescue dog Glen. Beef Burger was a delicious proper butcher's steak mince burger. Katsu Chicken Burger was awesome. Warm seafood salad was great as well. Loch Lomond ales were great; IPA was good, 'Lost in Mosaic' was outstanding

The place and the staff are so welcoming and courteous, food fantastic but my only criticism is we have had the Sunday Roast a few times and the vegetables well the lack of them is so disappointing, carrot and onion and every occasion!! Food was ok nothing overally amazing but average food. However the service in this place is horrendous , we were sat in the front section of the restaurant and waited around 15 minutes before even getting a drinks order , we then finally got to order our meal and had to ask what the soup of the day was as we weren’t advised as to what this was, our second drinks were forgotten that we ordered after our starters and waited until half way through our main to even get any sort of attention off of staff where it was obvious they had forgotten about our drinks , finished our meal and waited 35 minutes between finishing our meal and recieving our bill that we had asked for after having to yet again call another member of staff to get it , and there was no lack of staffing as 4 members were standing behind the bar having a chit chat Overally really didn’t enjoy this experience

We decided to eat here and it didn’t disappoint. Service was great, incredibly friendly, relaxed but timely. My wife and I shared the haggis bon bons and Cullen Skink to start with. Both were excellent. I had the special of lambs livers which was stunning. Our kids both enjoyed dishes from the children’s menu. I also sampled and enjoyed their local beers and extensive whisky menu. Highly recommended

I’d been tracking this restaurant since booking for a short break in a nearby hotel. It didn’t disappoint. We were welcomed with a friendly smile and shown to our table. There was a specials board that was lengthy and we quickly chose. We had the haggis bons bons and tempura prawns to start. Delicious!!!! Main courses were gammon steak (this is served with two black puddings, fried egg and a wholegrain mustard sauce) and I ordered the world famous Malaysian Lamb Casserole. Everything was superb and I’ll return and have that again!! The Clachan Inn certainly helped make a lovely weekend. In fact, it was the highlight of our eating experience - and we ate at Duck Bay. Thank you!!

Visited here with my partner (yesterday) for valentines day dinner after seeing tiktok reviews. As a die hard macaroni lover I HAD to come and try it. It did NOT disappoint. It was rich, creamy and so cheesey. It was a HUGE portion so I didn't finish it 😂. My partner had the fish chips and peas which she said was lovely. I tried the fish I can confirm it was. Only thing I'll say is it was a tad greasy on the bottom of the fish but apart from that it was lovely. The hand cut chips were outstanding. Our waiter (tartan is shirt) looked like he was a manager was very attentive and polite.. looked after us well. Also the young waiter on shift was also very friendly and polite. We were staying along at the oak tree inn in balmaha and travelled to visit here. Did not disappoint. Sad I didn't have room for dessert as they look amazing. We will be back in the summer with my two children (one who is also a macaroni fiend😂) Many thanks and keep up the good work.

Established in 1734, the Clachan Inn is a must while in Drymen. And do make a reservation as it is always busy. Great food and service on a preserved space, we had a wonderful time. Best Fish and Chips! Recommended!

Excellent anniversary lunch. All of the dishes were delicious, friendly attentive staff and good value for the quality of the food. Burrata, chilli prawns to start, followed by market fish (hake - delicious) and salmon and lobster sauce pasta. Affogato and mint ice cream and chocolate choux bun to finish.

Stopped here on our way to Fort William and enjoyed it so much stopped here again on the way back. Food was superb, probably the best smoked Salmon I have tasted and the gentleman who served us was very jovial and made us feel very welcome. If you’re passing definitely worth stopping even just for a coffee and cake.
