The Drymen Inn in Stirling

In the picturesque town of Drymen is this very quality establishment. Great vegetarian food. The staff were also so very friendly and kind. This would be a great place for drinks and to listen to some live music when they have it

Popular village pub with good food. We were glad we went early for dinner thinking we could chill out and have a drink while waiting for a sensible eating time, because the place filled up shortly before we arrived. Goodly size portions, I couldn't finish everything with my burger.

Popped in here whilst staying at The Winnock (across road). Busy placement great staff. Have to mention Andy the DJ, he was great and very friendly. Very upbeat and played great music

Saturday morning breakfast, excellent, no problems with little changes to the menu to suit our awkward tastes 🥰 lovely environment, friendly lady serving (so sorry don’t get your name) I can recommend the veggie breakfast- stunning

Had a fabulous dinner here whilst walking the west highland way. Lovely, friendly, attentive staff. Food was excellent - pie and salmon were both very high quality and delicious. A great evening.

Met here today 19/062024 with friends for the first time. Chose this as a halfway drive for both couples. Not dissappointed at all, pleasant surroundings and the food was very good, all four of us having something different and enjoying it all. The staff were very pleasant, welcoming and attentive. All in all an enjoyable experience and we will be back in the near future for a further get-together.

Went for lunch , food absolutely amazing , great portion sizes , I had smoked salmon for my starter, and poached salmon with boiled rice with a rich tomato sauce and vegetables , the portion of salmon was huge ,and tasted amazing , cooked to perfection, my partner had the chicken wings with barbecue sauce , and steak pie for main course , again cooked to perfection, would definitely recommend this place for food , all the staff are just lovely and so friendly , I also noticed that dogs are also welcome which is just lovely , will definitely be back , p.s if you like fresh salmon . We were staying nearby in a hot tub lodge in Balmaha. Decided to visit for lunch on our second day. Serve was quick & friendly. Food was absolutely AMAZING. Portions were huge though which made us feel guilty about leaving some food. The female attending to us assured us it was fine & they were "walkers portions". Would highly recommended stopping by here for a feed. Also great value.

This is a fantastic first stop if you are walking The West Highland Way. As a couple of Americans strolling in on a Friday night, muddy from the trail, we didn’t know what to expect, but the staff welcomed us with open arms, even making sure we got fed before the kitchen closed. The locals were great as well, insisting on buying us drinks and talking for hours. We also spent the night. The room was clean, comfortable and the perfect break from the trail. I highly recommend, and really hope to be back one day.

We ate here on our first night of three based in Drymen. As it was a Sunday, we wondered if it might have been quieter. Far from it. The place was busy, in part due to a regular Sunday evening resident singer. The food was lovely, however we found the drinks to be pricey. £6 for a pint of real ale and £24 for a bottle of red wine (which we soon discovered was the norm for wine locally)

Rude female bar staff we asked for a drink and her response was demeaning and belittling staying along the road for the weekend after loosing our beloved dog on the Thursday paid £18 for two cocktails disgusting at that weren’t finished. Just remember be kind you never know what someone else I’d going through at that moment in time. Just a pub full of elders with too much money felt very un welcome and un comfortable.

We are here twice while away for a couple of nights and the food was absolutely fantastic, together with the service and attentiveness from the staff. An absolute gem of a place with a great atmosphere and a roaring log burner to keep you toasty.

We came here for dinner after a disastrous attempted stay at the Buchanan Arms Hotel. As the hotel could not honour of booking we arrived at the Drymen Inn two hours earlier than our arranged booking. My mum explained our situation to Victoria and she rearranged things and got us into the restaurant so we could still get a nice meal. Victoria then offered to phone other local hotels to see if we could get a room elsewhere. All 5 of us had lovely meals and all the staff that we dealt with where so lovely. I can't recommend this place more. Staff lovely meals tasty

Sadly we wasted an afternoon here. Planned on having some food but the one member of staff front of house (Kara?) had zero customer service skills. We ordered a side of curly fries for our son who was a bit unsettled and advised her we would order once he had been served. We are still waiting!! Menus sat in front of us for over an hour, whilst she fraternised with a chef behind the bar and consulted her mobile phone constantly. Avoid this place if you’re looking for any sort of hospitality. Go next door to the Clachan. Superior service and a far better atmosphere

Uncomfortable and poorly furnished rooms, Food okay, evening entertainment awful. No thought of guests sleeping in bedrooms upstairs. Sounded like the Luce music (if you can call it that) was playing in our bedroom)

Really tasty food, nice staff and relatively cosy. A bit loud but it does advertise as somewhere that might be lively with live music and sports so that’s to be expected. We had two cream of leek soups which were very leeky and hearty, an ultimate pizza with a side of chips and a chicken and leek pie. Ultimate pizza was homemade and had a fair bit of topping. Came with dips too. Side portion of chips was huge. Pie was delicious and filled with filling. The side veg with that was delicious. We ended up leaving some food but not because of taste only because we were full. Also had a coke and cappuccino. Came to about £57.

Went about 6pm and got a table no problem. Staff very friendly. Ordered salmon in sauce and chicken burger. Came quick enough but salmon was over cooked and accompanying veg / chips / onion rings all barely warm - disappointing !

Situated in the centre of town this is a good place for a drink and a meal. Limited menu and not many tables. Noted that lots of entertainment on during the week.

Been in here before a couple of times for food and drinks. Always found the food to be acceptable but not wonderful. Popped in for a drink and was shocked to see their prices. A pint of Guinness was £5.80!!! Most of the other beers were the same, including their real ale. That's the most I have paid for it anywhere. I thought the neighbouring Clachan pub was expensive at £4.55 for a Guinness but This is no more than profiteering on the back of all the inflation stories. There really is no need for this.

Arrived on our first day of the West Highland Way. Funny friendly staff. Understood the need for a cold beer. Room was ready and clean. Great bed. Dinner is excellent. Happy to find this rest spot.

What a great atmosphere at The Drymen Inn! At first we had another inn in sight but, as it was full, we headed for The Drymen and we couldn't have hoped for better. Not only is the food excellent, including the vegetarian options and the Sunday roast🤩😍, but the staff was so friendly that we truly felt at home. The staff is also very efficient but their politeness tops everything. We were also very lucky to have live music (every Sunday between 6pm (or 5...can't remember) and 9pm. We highly recommend it for couples but there were also some families and groups of friends. Thank you Drymen Inn :)

We both had the Enchiladas on Monday. Large portions too and quite tasty. I had vanilla ice cream. No wine list at all. Had a bottle of Shiraz fairly good. Not cheap at £20.95. Service was good.

hI we stayed here a couple of years ago and thought we would go for some lunch and check out for a future visit, i'm glad we did as the food was terrible and the place needed a deep clean as it wasn;t clean at all and we couldn't get out quick enough and that is all i can say dissapointed.

Lovely owners, nice relaxing stay for our first night of the west highland way. Stayed in the conic suite was very clean and well kept . Great DBB deal offered , food was also great in bar with very large portions. Definitely would return if in the area again . Dogs also welcome and they made our dog feel very welcome too .

Just back from a lovely weekend at the Drymen Inn. The hosts, Stuart and Jen, were very helpful, very kind and very much intent on ensuring everything was good for us. In addition, the staff could not have been friendlier nor more attentive. The rooms are pleasant, the range of drinks is superb, and the food is very nice too - fresh and flavoursome. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely visit again soon. I just wish someone had told me about the drunken octopus looking for a fight in our bathroom!

We were staying local and looked for somewhere to eat, the Drymen Inn was a great find, a really good menu and great variety for vegetarians. Service was fantastic and good selection of beers. Friendly atmosphere and nice to relax with a drink after dinner. Highly recommend

Stopped by for some food after a nice day out with my friends. Was greeted by a girl with short black hair who was friendly at first meet. Our food took a fair while to arrive on the table (around 35min) given how quiet the restraunt was at the time. After we received our food we became this waitresses last resort as she walked past everyone else during their meals and asked if everything was okay. We had to take it upon ourselves to ask her for another bowl of chips as the enchiladas only came with barely a handful on the plate. Whilst doing so we also asked if we could have some garlic dips to which she rolled her eyes (not thinking I was looking). During our meal I found I bit of slate in my food which I asume was from the plate cupboard or something. I addressed this while about to pay the bill and the man at the bar couldnt of seamed more disentrested as he just said "oh did you" not even offering anything for it. Overall experience was poor and don't think we will be back as we felt like we were a burden to the staff (who weren't wearing masks the entire time)

Came there for breakfast. After checking several places we were grateful to find they do vegetarian breakfast. They were happy for us to do swaps as well! The food took a while but it was definitely worth the wait! The food was great and the staff were friendly. The coffee was also very fresh and strong and was exactly what was needed

We picked The drymen inn for a special lunch for a colleagues retirement. I have been many times before and had recommended it. We picked a lovely day for it and got to sit in their lovely beer garden. We had a warm friendly welcome from Jen and staff and they were attentive throughout our lunch. The food was fantastic with good portion sizes. Thank you Drymen inn for looking after us we will be back soon

Great meal we had at the Drymen Inn tonight. The Chicken Enchilada was massive and packed with chicken. My wife enjoyed her goujons too. Tasty Heverlee lager tooAtmosphere in the bar was good with a mix of locals and tourists. Bar staff very friendly. Overall a great visit. Will definitely revisit when back in the area

The service from Angela and the staff was outstanding they done everything to help make our family night out great. The food well this was a class above the rest in the area portion sizes where very good value for money and fresh and hot. Angela was so good to my folks as they were having to leave early and would miss the breakfast service having explained this to Angela, she sorted it so they could have breakfast before they leave. (Thank you so much ) I would highly recommend the Drymen inn to everyone food, service and staff well worth their weight in gold. We will definitely be back stay safe in these crazy times.

Visited on the 7/8/2020 for an overnight stay. First of all I would like to thank Lesley for arranging our accommodation, sorry not to have met you in person.Apprehensive about visiting as this was our first outing since lockdown.Felt at ease from the minute we arrived, social distancing,sanitiser stations and one way system in place.We Were greeted on arrival by Angela, thank you for a friendly warm welcome Thanks also to Caitlin for serving us with a great meal and breakfast, great value for money.Would also like to thank Dorothea (Dorrie ) for the spotlessly clean room in which we stayed.Will definitely be back and I would not hesitate to recommend you to all my family and friends Thanks again for a lovely wee breakTake care everyone and stay safe

What a amazing lunch we had , we had decided to drive to Loch Lomond for a afternoon walk and on the way back noticed the Inn . Service was friendly and fast even with restrictions with Covid19. The food was amazing . I had fish and chips , the fish melted in your mouth with the chips being hard on the outside and fluffy on the inside . My wife had lasagna which was just as amazing full of flavour . We will definitely come back even if it’s a 2 hour drive from home . I’d recommend it for sure

We were booked into the Buchanan Arms Hotel & after a disastrous check-in, we decided not to eat at the hotel. We had stayed at the Drymen Inn before and thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and staff were excellent. This is a fantastic place. Everyone makes you feel so welcome, the food is outstanding and the service is five star. Highly recommend the Drymen Inn and we will most definitely be back.

We stayed here on Saturday night and had the best night. Food was lovely, setting and atmosphere is great for a chilled night away. Karaoke at night was a great laugh! Staff extremely helpful and friendly. The owners make you feel at home and Angela is fantastic. We will certainly be back!

Had our first visit to the Drymen Inn today and we weren't disappointed. The place is spotless. The staff could not have been more helpful and were very friendly. Our order was taken nice and prompt and the food arrived quickly too. Food was very tasty and excellent portion size. Toilets were lovely and clean too. Definitely will return. Visited this lovely place on Saturday night as we had stayed here a few years ago just for dinner as we were staying in another hotel in the Village. The food was lovely (we all had the fish and chips) but the best thing was the lovely helpful staff who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night they served the piping hot food with a smile and a chat and were happy to tell us about the hotel and local area. Thank you again Jacqueline, Angela and Amie and also the funny crazy barman (sorry forgot your name) for making our night so special. Also the live music was an added bonus great musician at a perfect noise level,we ended up staying for the full evening and had a fantastic night. Wish we had booked to stay here again, we will be back, thanks again for a fantastic night

stayed here for an itison deal on friday night.. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and chatty. They look after you well. Our room was lovely and had recently been refurbished. Beautiful stag decorations, cushions and light fittings etc. Food was lovely my favourite was my haggis starter followed by macaroni. Breakfast was also tasty and was the cream tea. Would absolutely recommend.

Managed to get a deal to try here and will definitely be back. Great food, good choice of drinks and great entertainment on a Sunday night. The rooms are small but are very clean and have everything you need. The staff are really nice too. Thanks for a great weekend guys!

Had drinks and a meal on two occasions on a recent visit to Drymen. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Good selection for vegetarians. Nice pleasant staff, Aimee in particular was lovely. If we return to Drymen we will probablyook at staying here.

So me and my friend went and instantly seen a dead cat at the front door which the owner threw at us when we then decided to leave because the smell was honestly disgusting, never been treated so poorly in my life honestly can’t tell you how appalled I was an experience I’ll never forget RIP Cat

Spent a night at the Drymen Inn, Stuart and his staff were exceptional.Food and accommodation were excellent, I highly recommend a stay here.

Had a class night in here with my wife , the live singer was great as well as the food ,there pizzas are . Good banter with the bar staff especially Lawrence who we had a great laugh with, we will definitely be back in the near future

Just a heads up folks if your thinking of buying a wowcher deal for this hotel, dont bother! The hotel books up quick and even though u follow the instructions on the wowcher ie email hotel... they still dont honour ur voucher if its fully booked and outwith ur control as ur limited to a sat night.

Had a lovely meal here on Hogmanay for my birthday, stayed for the New Year’s Eve party and brought the bells in.

My wife and I had dinner here on the first night of walking the West Highland Way. It's a lovely little pub with attentive, friendly staff. I had the Spicy Chicken Enchiladas and really enjoyed the meal. If we visited again, we would probably stay in this place overnight as well as eating here again.

El peor servicio de Escocia. Los camareros no se enteran de nada. Treinta minutos esperando a que nos cogieran nota. Otros treinta minutos esperando por el postre, que nunca llego (pero si estaba en la cuenta). Pesimo servicio. Al menos la pizza no estaba mal. Aun asi, no recomendable.

Well, this is simple , what a great place to stay over or just to pop in for food/drink .

The Drymen Inn looks the part, very nice decor, nice music, busy, staff were welcoming, helpful and resourceful. Drink was very nice and reasonably priced, the food was good and the menu contained a number of unusual pub grub options and were very nice. We will be back

Stumbled on this pub , drawn in by notice saying dogs welcome ( and football on the TV) to have the warmest welcome from the local and staff ... one even took one of our dogs off to say hello to everyone. The staff were very attentive ( to us and our dogs) and gave us friendly advice. Food a lovely big plateful of delicious enchiladas... veggie for me , chicken for my partner... delicious and well priced. Would definitely recommend a visit ( even if more quaint ones in the village)

Very enjoyable two day break. Very comfortable bed and well appointed rooms. Food is standard bistro type fare well presented and tasty. Staff are pleasant, friendly and very efficient. Stuart and his team run a very tight ship. Special mention goes to Beth, for looking after us in the evenings and putting up with my awful patter. See you next year.
