Amazing food, one of the best meals we have had eating out. Good size portions and staff were all lovely. Definitely will be returning.

As an occasional visitor to the Westerton Arms in Bridge of Allan, I have always been impressed by the quality of the food and the warm hospitality of the staff. However, my most recent visit for Easter lunch took my experience to a whole new level. Our party of 13 (including 2 children under 6) arrived at the pub to a very warm welcome from the hostess, Aishleen, who immediately made us feel at home. She efficiently showed us to our cozy table in the dining room, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The Easter menu was simply mouthwatering, featuring classic roast dishes that showcased the kitchen's exceptional skills. I opted for the roast beef, which was cooked to perfection - tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. My dining companions raved about the equally delicious roast chicken, with its crispy skin and rich, succulent meat. The accompaniments were equally as impressive, with fluffy Yorkshire puddings, crispy roasted potatoes, and a selection of fresh seasonal vegetables that were expertly prepared. I was particularly impressed by the homemade gravy, which had a depth of flavor that elevated the entire meal. After our hearty main courses, we couldn't resist indulging in the tempting dessert menu. The Biscoff cheesecake delicious - creamy and decadent, with a crunchy Biscoff biscuit base that provided a wonderful contrast in texture. The tablet sundae was another highlight, with layers of creamy ice cream, crumbled tablet that had us scraping the dish clean. Throughout our lengthy lunch, the Westerton Arms' staff, led by the ever-attentive Aishleen, provided impeccable service. They were attentive to our every need, promptly refilling drinks, checking on our satisfaction, and ensuring our party of 13 was well taken care of. It's clear that the team at the Westerton Arms takes great pride in their work, and it shows in the quality of the food and the warmth of the hospitality. This Easter celebration was a feast for the senses, and I left with a deep appreciation for the exceptional dining experience that the Westerton Arms consistently delivers. Whether you're looking for a cozy pub lunch, a special occasion celebration, or a traditional Scottish feast, the Westerton Arms is a must-visit destination. I can't wait to return and sample more of their delectable offerings.

Took a while to bring the drinks and the food had the nachos they were really nice had to take them home

Didn’t plan to have lunch, rather dropping by for a drink but very glad we did. We were due to eat at another restaurant but due to confusion around taking our dog with us we had to cancel. Paul and team could not have been more welcoming. The food was spot on. My wife had the Seafood Linguine and I had the Rigatoni with Italian Sausage. For Pudding we both had Cheesecake. All of it was perfect. Washed down with a good bottle of Montepulciano. Very good staff, attentive to both us and the dog and with a very solid product . The atmosphere was also great. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back.

Was my sons 21st Birthday, just a small group of family and friends at The Westerton after being let down by another restaurant.. I’m glad they cancelled. We couldn’t fault the staff, service and food. The staff were super helpful, helping with balloons, banners and serviettes for the birthday boy..took his cake and presented to him with the candles and flares.. Pauline was who I spoke with on booking and she was there in the night, arranged everything and looked after us all so well. Food was amazing, tasted so fresh, and served all of us together with really warm tasty meals. Lovely ambience, clean and immaculate. The new owners have nailed it! The food was fabulous, I would go as far as saying best food I have had locally in years. I had the black pudding scotch egg, followed by monkfish scampi #wow My daughter had the mussels to start which were fantastic .. atmosphere, service and food quality was second to none. Great Sunday roast for me and my wife, very tasty with great customer service. Have eaten here numerous times and always enjoyed the food.

A slightly mixed bag, the service and atmosphere was great, just a couple of issues with the food, but admit it might just come down to personal taste. Ordered the Chicken Sunday roast everything was lovely, chicken lovely and juicy except the gravy was far too salty and unfortunately was poured over all the food, which i wouldn't mind if it wasn't too salty. Ordered the cheesecake of that day and it was the weirdest cheesecake I've ever eaten. It felt far more savory than sweet. The base was stodgy and the topping had the texture and taste of pure Philadelphia cheese, not whipped light & creamy. Felt as though we should have had some crackers instead, to spread the cheese on. I would go back and try some other dishes just to check if it was just bad food choices on my part.

The Westerton Arm is situated directly in the middle of the Bridge of Allan. A good location and includes parking directly behind the venue, something that is in short supply in Bridge of Allan. The venue is separated into two key bits for dining / hospitality, the main restaurant and then a pub directly across. I have not visited the pub so will only be talking about my experience of the restaurant. The restaurant is a decent enough size, we were a family of 6 and a pram and still plenty of space around us, it was pretty busy when we were in. Its quite a cosy atmosphere with old style pub like decor, not weather, still looks new and clean! Now conscious this may seem to good to be true but the full end to end was fantastic, when we walked in the service was great, we had a table booked to seated within a minute of entering the door where a drinks order was taken. The menu has a lot of choice so definitely something on there for everyone. The only thing to note is that they don't do their lunch sandwiches on a Sunday (Sad cause we returned and they were fantastic - Pulled pork one is ace). The timing of the food was ideal, enough that you aren't starving but also that you aren't sitting there thinking "this must have been microwaved", I had the Sriracha Chicken burger which was great and a number of us had the Sunday roast which I am also advised was a 10/10. Finally we had some desserts consisting of coffee and cake, I feel like a good coffee is often something that lets a place down, when you order a latte and its basically just a milky coffee as an example, not here. The coffee was honestly some of the best I have tasted in a while, good temperature and a decent size. It's not often you can walk away from a local restaurant and say you have nothing negative to say about it but Westerton Arms is definitely one of those places. Have since returned like I mentioned to sample those Sandwiches and again, another great dining experience from start to finish. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting or passing through!

Had a Hen get together for our daughter with family and friends in the new refurbished upstairs lounge … what an absolute treat ! Buffet food was home made ,delicious and presented beautifully! Aishleen was on hand for anything we needed and her attention to detail is second to none 🩷 Thankyou so much for making it a special day Team Westerton !

We all choose soup and sandwich combo. I had mushroom soup which was lovely and cajun chicken sandwich which wasn't the best , chicken was rubbery ,I also asked fir handcooked chips that were on the menu but i got frozen,also had coffee and cake which was nice . Staff member sitting in corner on his laptop with people coming and going to his table . We only came here as Allan Water Cafe and Nicks were closed. Don't think I would return. Staff not very engaging or friendly. We sat next to fire that soon went out , would have been nice for staff to keep the fire going on a cold January afternoon.

Visiting Stirling for my dad's 92nd birthday and came across the Westerton. Treated so well, amazing food and great service. Returning in a few days.!!!

Visited for the 1st time and I really enjoyed our evening the food was superb the staff were all very friendly and helpful will definitely visit again.

First time visit and was amazed at the wonderful food on offer. It was so hard to choose. Decided on the haggis and chicken wellington which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the special of the day which was lamb with black pudding mash and again it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The service was exceptional. Looking forward to returning soon. Went here for a family dinner and was a little disconcerted by the difference between the men's bar and the restaurant. My local sister hurried me through to the restaurant. Excellent food and beer with super service.

first time visiting in years, not impressed, burger was raw, nachos were microwaved and the cheese invisible, all clumped together in a bowl, fish and chips was nice though but i'd struggle to recommend you try it, the reviews are high though so perhaps the chef just had an off night

Six of us old school friends met for drinks on a dreich Wednesday lunchtime and loved the experience. We were met by friendly staff and seated at a table beside the fire which was just so warm and cosy . Service was spot on . We will be back !

Beautiful afternoon lunch with family, what a lovely setting and great atmosphere. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional and our meals were very good. The Wellington was fantastic, but I had the food jealousy that comes when all the meals look delicious. Highly recommend.

Our visit to the Westerton Arms was very pleasant, if a little on the expensive side at close to £30 for two sandwiches, a side of fries and two Cokes. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

4 of us visited here on a busy Saturday evening for an evening meal. Food: the food was brilliant. Wellington was incredible as were the burgers. Very well presented and decent size portions. Skinny fries with parmesan were a particular favourite! Service: great service, had to wait a bit of time between receiving the bill and paying but it was busy so understandable. Staff very attentive, friendly and welcoming. Credit to the venue. Atmosphere: really relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a casual evening meal. Parking: private parking is available but also plenty of free on street parking nearby. No issues at all. Price: for the quality and quantity of food and overall experience, I believe this place is priced appropriately. 4 people, 2 courses and 2 drinks each approximately £30 per head. Top highlight(s): skinny fries and sticky toffee pudding. Will definitely return and easily recommend to anyone in the area.

My family and I were here as our half way stopping point on holiday. We have been here before and both visits the service was outstanding, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was excellent. Food was cooked to a great standard presentation was fantastic and was an excellent experience.and the staff were wonderful.

My number one gripe with the Westerton is their IT is rubbish When transactions fail to go through it’s never them - with a clear level of distrust always -even when the customer a regular. Sort it. Stop blaming your customer base.

We were there for lunch and opted for the light bite menu, my sister took the Fisherman: goujons with tartare and pea mayo. I had the Dirty Hog, pulled BBQ pork, red onion and cheese. Each served on a ciabatta roll with a dressed salad and red cabbage slaw. The rolls can be gluten free and there is a healthy selection of gluten free choices. Both delightful and served promptly and with a smile. Teas in pots, good coffee. We'll be back.

Sunday roast definitely not up to standard they had run out of beef but the chicken was fine, no roast potatoes just small squares f potato, no mash and other veg not so good. Must say that other members enjoyed their meals from the menu

We went in for some food. We had not booked but luckily they had a table for us. The service was great with very polite staff. The food was also great. We both had burgers. We would definitely go back.

Plaudits for every facet of this restaurant. From a delicious and unusual liver parfait starter to a main dish of succulent lamb with black pudding gratin. The chef is a genius! Very nice staff and great atmosphere to boot.

The quality control on the kids meals was disappointing- undercooked chicken and watery macaroni cheese. To be fair the staff were apologetic, but not a good experience for hungry kids, especially as the food and drinks took ages to get to us. Other meals inc steak pie was very good!

We were their today , the young boy that showed us to our seat , only gave us the normal menu , didn't know what ciders they had , told me a list of lagers instead , I had to ask if their was a Sunday roast , as no sunday roast menus given and we weren't told when given normal menus . My Sunday roast came it was the wrong one , it had to be changed. They weren't busy either , no excuse for wrong order to be given out . The roast was nice but just a wee bit of chicken . The starter of chicken and liver parfait was nice to their but was only 2 wee bits of toast with it , not enough for the amount of parfait given . To much rocket on plate with parfait . They don't do their starter of chicken wings anymore that was a bit of a bummer .

Had yet another excellent meal and very enjoyable evening out at the Westerton, one of our favourite venues for dining in the area. We arrived just after last orders had been called as it was a very last-minute decision, but were still accommodated. Pauline and her colleagues were really friendly and attentive and the food, as always, was excellent. We are regular guests and are already looking forward to our next visit. Visited with friends from New York we were a party of 16 and dropped in when passing. The size of the party didnt phase the staff at all. The place was well appointed with a tradition decor.
