loved the scenery, loved the food, staff were excellant, and they had a great sense of humour, sitting at the log fire in entrance late at night was very relaxing.

I reviewed this under the hotel, but to recap we had the salmon and Diamond Filet. Exceptional food and exceptional service. We had the loaf of bread for an appetizer and it came out crusty and warm with a side of scrum

Everything we ordered was excellent. My lamb was the best I've ever eaten. Even my husband, who ordinarily doesn't like it, enjoyed a sample. The hostess explained the lush green grass pastures for making it much better than in the US where agribusiness predominates. (Even milk and butter taste better.) His haddock was done to perfection both evenings. Sticky toffee pudding, which we ordered at every opportunity, was new to us and this was also the best we had. Despite eating at several more expensive restaurants, these were the most memorable meals of our three week journey.

Das Essen im Dungeon (Verlies) des Culcreuch Castle wird in ungewohnter Umgebung serviert. Dennoch ist der Raum gemütlich. Das Essen ist frisch und gut gekocht. Die Auswahl eher übersichtlich.

Food was good and interesting ambience in the old dungeons. Smoked haddock excellent as was the steak and enjoyed the Malbec. Desert slightly disappointing though. Reasonably priced.

Excellent food very tasty. Limited menu and quite expensive but very good quality. Would have preferred the children’s menu. Seemed a better choice and better value.

This is a popular eatery with both locals and vacationers. The menu offers many choices. The portions are generous.

Went for a family lunch to the Dungeon restaurant. You enter around the back and have to pass the toilets en route to the bar . once in the bar, we could smell urine ...wasn't sure whether it was IN the bar or because we passed the toilets! It wasn't pleasant when you are arriving for lunch.....Most of the staff were pleasant enough but one was a bit abrupt I felt! Food was okay....I was expecting more from the sandwiches though .i had the chicken and bacon sandwich .....couldn't taste ANY bacon in this at all...skinny chips were lovely! Was glad I didn't go for the fish and chips as it was really fat chips....and not a lot of them...plus the fish was sitting on top of the chips???? What was that about ?Dessert of sticky toffee pudding was nice ...not the best I have had, but palatable. Overall, I wouldn't rush back.....had better lunches in much better and cleaner surroundings! It's just a bit dreary inside...even in the bar and not just the dungeon where we ate ....could be better tbh. It was quite an expensive lunch too!

Lovely small cafe and shop beside a large Cattle and Sheep Auction Market. They do all kinds of delicatessen foods to sell, plus Suki tea and tea pots. Food is good and simple with good cakes as well.

The staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a nice, cozy vibe. We had the steak burger which was tasty, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The hand cut chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - perfect. We tried the special - brisket and spinach ravioli with puy lentils, it was moreish and flavourful. The ravioli itself was quite thick but the waitress took on this feedback which was great. The house salad had a nice dressing. We had plans after so couldn't try dessert, but this restaurant impressed us so we will visit again.

Comí el queso manchego más increíble, cebolla caramelizada y quiche de tomate seco hoy. Servido con cuscús de coliflor y ensalada lateral. ¡Fue tan sabroso! Gran servicio y pasteles como siempre.

Visited recently. The cafe , the staff and the food were all just lovely. Good selection on the menu. Served by a wonderful lady who made us feel like we were local. We had toasties. They were happy to vary toppings etc as stated on the menu. Would be regulars if nearer. Very very nice thanks all
