Loved this place! Came across it after a visit to Culross Palace. There were a couple of cafés which were closer but they were either a bit busier/noisier or welcomed dogs, which frankly puts me off. So glad we found Rankin's Café! Such a lovely, friendly, sunny place with a warm welcome and superb food. I had the soup of the day (Scotch broth) with the most delicious bread. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Would definitely recommend!

Thank you for an excellent time at the Hide. I was very lucky to win a prize for the use of the Hide for the lunch 12-4 . we opted to bring our own food and myself and 9 friends enjoyed a lovely time. Mr B and Becky gave us all the help and support we needed and the barbecue was ready to use and we had a fabulous time. The views are amazing and the place is too ! We would defo recommend and we will be back to visit again

Had a lovely lunch here with family. There were 11 of us in total and The Snug was the perfect area for this. We were served by Ross who was a genial and knowledgeable host. Food was great quality and very tasty. We’ll be back!

What a fantastic place! The staff (lead by Karen), were warm, welcoming and courteous without fault, and the atmosphere and food were brilliant. We can't rate this place highly enough. If we could've lifted this place up and brought it home to Australia, we would have. Thanks Karen, Leslie and Julie, from John and Kristy

Came in tonight for a game of pool with dad and sister and got a couple of the loaded fries and they were incredible! Honestly some of the best I’ve had and I’m a chef ! Will be coming back for sure!

Let me just point out to the most objectionable and unpleasant human being that posted the toxic review on the 15th July. Firstly, stay at home and do not tarnish a beautiful village and friendly tearoom with your acrimonious and toxic personality. Secondly, I have been coming to the Lomond Tearoom since it opened. The family run business is the friendliest place you could ever have the good fortune to visit. The food and service is excellent and the staff and owners are friendly and welcoming. Anybody visiting Falkland should visit and enjoy the wonderful tearoom.

Went last minute with a group of 10 people and 2 dogs after another booking in the area had fallen through, they happily sat us for food and drinks. Really nice staff and good food with something on the menu for everyone. They were very happy to have the dogs and brought them water.

Falkland is a historic picture perfect village made even more famous recently by the Outlander TV series, which I've never seen. I do know that our hotel features in the drama as a post WW2 bed and breakfast. We loved our stay here. We were located in the Outlander double room which I'm told was recently refurbished. It was spotlessly clean, really comfortable and suitably furnished for the era of the TV series. We loved it. The new showroom was very chic. Staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful, friendly and hard working. Our evening meal was first class and great VFM. Included breakfast was excellent as was the service. The hotel have a great cafe as part of their restaurant area. The busy bar has a great atmosphere and a good selection of draft beer and spirits. I can highly recommend their whisky flights. The only slight complaint (which is no fault of the Covenantor Hotel) is that the other 2 local pubs and a nearby cafe are all now closed. That said, we were more than happy to just stay where we were. Caitlin and all the staff were superb throughout our stay. Oh and our room had what seemed to be a full SKY TV package and you can also log in with your own Netfix and Amazon Prime if you over indulge in the great food and drink and need an early night. Superb

Excellent little road-side cafe near Balmullo, Fife, with views over the Eden estuary. Their is always a great choice of food, and the outside seating area is good for taking a dog.

Absolutely shocking service, we waited 1 hour and 10 mins for food to arrive. Kept being told we were next when we complianed on 3 occasions. Manageress left the young girls to deal with the complaints and continued to swan around. Very very poor ventilation also!

Before you order any food, just check the catering staff will stay longer enough. I booked a table here on a Friday evening at 7pm. It's like a large hall with kitchen tables & chairs with a bar at one end. The staff were welcoming. I ordered from a limited menu and the food was good and value for the money. Before 8pm I tried to order a sweet only to be told the catering had gone home! I know I was the only one in the pub (some sat outside), but it would've been nice to be informed the staff were leaving early.

Always found the food here good , worked in Cupar and regularly stopped for a breakfast, always found it to be good and value for money. Retired 12 years now and living away from the shops. Happened to be passing and had a breakfast order, friendly staff at guard bridge and breakfast was as good as I remember it. You need to start a shop in the Dundee area, do you hear!
