Absolutely shocking service, we waited 1 hour and 10 mins for food to arrive. Kept being told we were next when we complianed on 3 occasions. Manageress left the young girls to deal with the complaints and continued to swan around. Very very poor ventilation also!

Called in for breakfast. Breakfast was spoilt by a dog running around the restaurant even in and out of the kitchen we had to ask one of the waitresses to move it as it kept coming and begging at our table. The way that the staff treated it this appeared to be normal for them.

We hadn't planned to have a breakfast here, the intention was the have a cuppa and cake. However, the smell wafting around the Garden Centre was making me REALLY hungry, so we headed to the restaurant for some food and decided to explore the garden centre with full tummies instead. We both opted for the small Scottish. One of us doesn't like Haggis so we asked the waitress if this could be swapped to a Link Sausage and it was not an issue. The service did feel quite slow, but I am putting this down to some of this being made to order - perhaps this is due to the it being later in the morning, or maybe this is just how they do it? It probably felt longer than it was as my tummy was rumbling too! The food was really nice. Everything was cooked well. The coffee cups were piping hot which kept the contents hot - something other restaurants could do with adopting - pre-heating the mugs is a great idea. The only niggle we had was that there wasn't a lot of table space - we had a seat for two, the salt n pepper pots and small vase then two breakfast plates and two mugs and then the toast comes on an additional plate each too - however, there were no booths available when we visited - it was busy, which shows how popular the place is. We both enjoyed our visit and said we would return again.

We came here twice for breakfast during our stay in Cupar. My husband had the full Scottish and I had the veggie breakfast - both were delicious. The price of the food is very reasonable too. The coffee was piping hot each time we went and I must commend this as there’s nothing worse than when the coffee is lukewarm. Highly recommend!

Called in for breakfast. Two small scottish. Great value for money. Nicely cooked. 2 breakfasts and coffee for £16. Scones looked great but too big for this visit. Very pleasant staff. Only fault was the lights in the gents toilet seem to be on motion sensor (no pun intended!!) When the light goes off it's dark, very dark and no amount of swinging hands make light work!!!! Needs a longer time or a sensor in the cubicle areas!!!!

We have bought from this garden centre on numerous occasions and found the staff to be very helpful. The plant stock is excellent from young to mature. Prices are very competitive by comparison to other centres in Fife area. My only small criticism is there are far too many pots for sale which takes up a huge amount of space and would like to have seen an alternative eg water feature display. Would highly recommend a visit and don’t think you would be disappointed.

Went Saturday afternoon traveled from Dundee after passing a few months earlier and finding them on Facebook looked great and a huge selection of indoor plants however when we arrived it was not like the pictures made out on Facebook. There was a really disappointing selection of indoor plants and indoor planters, the garden centre was like a ghost town. Large selection of outdoor planters and the rest was a disappointment. I also stopped by the cafe and got a cake however it was not fresh and tasted like pre mixed ingredients, for the price there needs to be fresh homemade cakes baked throughout the day, also hot chocolate needs to be made with hot milk and cocoa not water and cocoa. I will not be back ever again as there is a lot of competition with garden centres in the area and this one fell very short. Girls who worked there were lovely.

Great range of ‘pub-grub’ style lunchtime meals, sandwiches and cakes. Food is freshly prepared and mostly homemade. With home working, my partner and I have been for lunch a few times and given the COVID situation, a colleague and I booked a Christmas lunch (amazing and so big I couldn’t finish it! Hope they do more ‘special menus’ in the future). On all occasions the staff were very cheery, the service was great. The place is spotless. You could eat your dinner off the table/ floor! Hats off to the staff. They are certainly mindful of COVID compliance. Temperature checks on entry, the staff clean tables and chairs extensively after people leave. Prices are very reasonable. We’ll definitely be back!

I have placed an order with this company attracted by its low prices, have paid for FedEx delivery and have received only a half of my order!!! Since then I have been promised by the company's various staff that the remaining half was going to be re-sent. After having spoken with them on 3 consecutive days nothing has happened and the remaining part of the order has never been sent...When I said on the phone that they are doing a really bad advertising for them by behaving like this and that I would never buy anything from them in the future, they hung up on me and did not want to take any of my further calls. Therefore no money refund or the product ordered. Stay away from this company and their 'attractive' prices - it is all a con!!!

Popped in for some lunch and we were asked for name, phone number, then checked temperature, escorted to table, noted dividing screens, clear instructions as to ordering, paying, moving about. Felt everything that had to be in place was and times 2. Watched couple depart and young lady descend on the table, totally cleaned and sanitised. Could of used it to operate on let alone eat off. And the food is good fair and incredible value for money price. Lovely friendly staff too. Watch out for the over, over size meringues !!

We use this garden centre frequently and absolutely love it. They have a wonderful, healthy assortment of plants and outdoor accessories such as bird feeders and birdbaths. The staff is very helpful and we always have tea and a sweet. The carrot cake is the best ever, but we’ve never had a bad cake or baked good.

We come here quite regularly as we are fairly local. At the moment the Garden Centre is being refurbished so the cafe is indoors only, but it has a dog friendly area, which is important to us. Staff always bring a bowl of water for the dog. Everyone is friendly, the food is good, wholesome, home cooked and service is quick. Prices are very reasonable too. If you’re just there for coffee and cake you can’t go wrong. There’s always a good selection of delicious cakes and pastries. Highly recommended.

We dropped into the cafe for a hicup of coffee, we were invited to take a hi seat. From there on in we were whisked though the best customer service I have encountered in years. We were guided through the menu, very straightforward but wide ranging. We had magnificent soup, which was hot and tasty. We followed this with a hot drink and scones. Each scone was a three course meal and fresh and crumbly.Great fresh unpretentious food served with smiles and humour. Magnificent sevice, they were great.Se sat at a "dog friendly" table, but had no dog. That was quickly solved as the next table had a loverly friendly dog who came and said hello. We came to buy plants but the star was the "Gardener's rest" cafe, a magnificent experience. Thank you.

I am taking this opportunity to share a recent upsetting experience at the Tranquillity Restaurant, at Bridgend Garden Centre, Freuchie.I had found a hair in my soup and informed the waitress of this for which she apologised. However, nobody came to our table to follow this up. On leaving, I mentioned it again to the manager/owner who was at the till. There then followed a most distressing exchange (on my part), in which it was suggested that it was probably a strand of leek or a burnt bit! This culminated in her calling me quite forcefully a liar, despite the young waitress admitting to having seen it. I was truly shocked by this woman's aggressive and antagonistic manner and would have accepted an apology or at least that she concede that the fault was hers. This was appalling customer service and needless to say I will not frequent her establishment again and nor will my friends.

Having always enjoyed meals at The Doll’s House we imagined this was a mere name change, and were drawn in by the offer of a reasonably priced set menu all day Wednesday and Thursday. Inside the decor was smart enough and the waitress pleasant. However they were unaware of the set menu offer clearly advertised outside, and then said they’d still put our meal through at that price so long as we didn’t order anything expensive ! This wasn’t easy as five dishes were already sold out by 7.30, leaving little choice. The soups were ok, as was my deer, but my wife’s ratatouille was the most ridiculous item I’ve ever seen offered as main dish- three slices of undercooked courgette, a few tomatoes swimming in a watery sauce. We skipped desserts and were presented with a bill of £72, the manager having forgotten her promise. On appeal she applied a discount, but £58 was still very expensive for an experience that could charitably be described as poor. I’d steer well clear - there is no shortage of places to eat in St Andrews.

What a venue !! Charming with a historical room to be seen to be believed (clipper room) ! I cannot say enough about the owners and staff who made me feel welcomed and could not do enough ! I was there for a music gig with friends and the music room venue was brilliant , atmospheric and intimate ! The hotel is in a lovely location with historical sites , coastal walks and a golf course nearby.

Food was okay, nothing to complain about. However, after just finishing our food we were told that they needed the table back asap as there was people who had booking that had been waiting 15 mins for our table. We had been in the restaurant for one hour at that point, so did not understand why we were being rushed out as the booking confirmation claimed we had the table for an hour and a half. Also tables that were in before us were still sitting and we had waited a while to get served/ receive our food.

My husband and I took our 2 year old grand daughter to the soft play area at lunchtime last Saturday. A lovely guy showed us in and got us seated with a high chair. We both had macaroni cheese with chips ( I asked for garlic bread but they had run out). The mac cheese was from the adult menu but our grand daughter had nuggets, chips and corn on the cob from kids menu. The mac cheese wasn't the best I've ever had but it was OK. Didn't like the chips. The salad was nice. I was back last night, 3 adults and 4 kids. I had the kids mac cheese as I wasn't overly hungry. 2 of the children had this aswell. They're 11 years old and the portion was tiny. Basically a table spoon in a small ashit type plate and 2 tiny bits of garlic bread! It was also nasty and stodgy. We eat out a lot and for the same price, we could have had 10 times better meals anywhere else but chose here for the soft play area. The other 2 adults had the nashville chicken burger but again said it was just ok. The restuarant was quite cold, floors were dirty, main toilets were disgusting, very short staffed, and we waited 25 minutes to order our 1st drink, then another 15 minutes to order food. Will give this place a miss from now on.
