Loved this place! Came across it after a visit to Culross Palace. There were a couple of cafés which were closer but they were either a bit busier/noisier or welcomed dogs, which frankly puts me off. So glad we found Rankin's Café! Such a lovely, friendly, sunny place with a warm welcome and superb food. I had the soup of the day (Scotch broth) with the most delicious bread. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Would definitely recommend!

Thank you for an excellent time at the Hide. I was very lucky to win a prize for the use of the Hide for the lunch 12-4 . we opted to bring our own food and myself and 9 friends enjoyed a lovely time. Mr B and Becky gave us all the help and support we needed and the barbecue was ready to use and we had a fabulous time. The views are amazing and the place is too ! We would defo recommend and we will be back to visit again

What a great find - real coffee and service to match. We had cake and filled rolls ( freshly baked on site) ,bacon from the butcher next door. Proper ground coffee with a real taste to it. Judging from the the number of people eating , it is always busy. Congratulations to Alex on a well run café. We will return as often as possible.

Myself and my hubby had a lovely meal on Thursday, when we phoned to find out if there was a table available It was late evening and the lady spoke to the chef as the last meal had been ordered. Due to the time the chef allowed us to get a table which was much appreciated This was our first time here as we were up in this area on holiday for the weekend Food was excellent and the staff were lovely as was the restaurant. It was that good that we booked again for the Saturday and went along with our daughter and her Fiance who joined us for our weekend away We will definitely be back again x

Fab wee local pub. A visit to family is not complete without a visit to the Golf Inn. This is a real village pub - excellent pub menu and very often live music. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It’s always a shame when the steak pie is finished but there’s lots more on offer, a special shout out for the fish and chips and fresh baked pizza. All of this can be washed down with a great pint or great value wines.

Such a lovely evening with food and drinks. Our second and we will be back! Food is fantastic, great menu, Craig, Alison and all the friendly people you have there makes this the best pub that we have ever visited. Thank you for remembering us and for your warm welcome back. Anyone visiting the area, you must visit The Golf Inn, it really is perfect! See you soon 😊

The cakes looked amazing and having read previous reviews bought 4 as was having guests , sorry but not real cream some sort of flavourless foam. The taste was awful. Parts were sickly sweet while others tasted like shaving foam or soap. Nobody ate them and ended in bin at2.50 each expensive mistake. And the 1 point is for presentation and service pity the food didn't match

Called in for breakfast. Breakfast was spoilt by a dog running around the restaurant even in and out of the kitchen we had to ask one of the waitresses to move it as it kept coming and begging at our table. The way that the staff treated it this appeared to be normal for them.
