Tuvimos un almuerzo encantador allí, buena comida y un personal muy acogedor. La zona de asientos es un poco pequeña pero aún así volvería.

When three generations of my family recently vacationed in Scotland, we enjoyed many wonderful experiences and excellent food. The best part of the trip, however, was our discovery of The Palace Pantry in Falkland, where we encountered the warmest, most welcoming women and the most delicious sweet and savory food imaginable. These women created delectable, traditional Scottish pies, with fillings ranging from haggis and pepper steak to curried chicken and macaroni and cheese. Our grandsons, aged 10 and 12, loved the pies so much, we served them every night. The sweets were equally fabulous, including fruit tarts, "yum yums," and shortbread cookies. We also ate those every day. Not only did the women at The Palace Pantry provide us with daily meals and treats, they gave us valuable travel advice, letting us know how to pick up our son and grandsons without ever having to drive through the Edinburgh airport and where the best fish and chips and ice cream could be found in St. Andrew's (Cromar's for fish and chips, Janetta's for ice cream). We can't even imagine what our trip would have been like without Alison, Laura, Louise, and Joy. We highly recommend a trip to The Palace Pantry to meet these fabulous women and sample their delicious sweet and savory treats. It's a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the trip.

This beautiful traditional bakery is situated right across from Falkland Palace. Inside there is plenty of delicious food options to be had not to mention the very tempting array of cakes. Their homemade pies are the most scrumptious I’ve ever tasted! Warm and welcoming service a definite gem of a place.

I have no hesitation recommending The Palace Pantry, especially the Haggis & gravy pies. Although small and bijou on the inside, the menu choice exceeds that of nearby establishments & all is freshly prepared. I still cannot believe the value of food & drink purchased for money spent. Can I also say that for fear of stepping in to shark infested water, the smile received from the lady with the fringe & gorgeous eyes topped the day off!

Went here with my husband hoping to get a roll and cup of tea. The rolls came speedily and were welll filled and tasty but the teas never appeared. The two staff seemed too busy talking to one customer. Shame as we were also going to have some cake with our tea so their loss.

Seeking just a sandwich or similar after a visit to the palace, I popped in here and noticed they make their own sandwiches. So for 2 pounds and 35p I had a soft white roll with savoury cheese and tomato. Cheapest lunch in Scotland. The young woman behind the counter was enormously helpful in accommodating my order changes as I was trying to sort out the system. There are a number of other options too with pies and cakes and slices and so plenty of choice and handy right across the road from the castle.

We called in here whilst visiting Falkland Palace and were served a delicious lunch by three delightful ladies. We were fortunate to get a table as there are only two, but were delighted by the food, the service and the price. Takeaway was also available and popular while we were there.

A must do for any Outlander fan coming to Falkland - this charming bakery and patisserie has a huge cardboard cutout of Jamie Fraser in his kilt to take a selfie with!! It's only one minute walk down from the square where you'll want to get your Outlander photos! Even better is the proper Scottish hospitality, the owners are so lovely and made sure we had all the right selfies with Jamie and had us both in stitches of laughter! We had delicious hot coffees and hot chocolates and indulged in their popcorn and salted caramel brownies as well as their marsbar slice - highly recommend and a must do stop in Falkland for any Outlander fan wanting a genuinely lovely Scottish experience!

This is the best coffee shop in St Andrews - but only in terms of the coffee and the food. I love the drinks and the bagels especially are *french kiss* but I would love to be able to come and sit, and enjoy my bagel at a table. The issue is that the already limited seating is taken up by students who have pretty much always finished their drinks. I really think it would be a good idea to have maybe half of the seats reserved for people who just want to come and sit for 10 minutes to have a drink because the shop itself is so nice and clearly very well finished. As a student myself I know there are plenty of study spaces in town so a study free area surely wouldn't meet much resistance? I for one would visit the cafe much more often, instead of just for takeaways. That said, the staff are amazing and the coffee is superb.

My husband and I visited here today and ordered a cup of spicy lentil soup and a sandwich cost £10 each. The food arrived and my cup of soup was only half full and my husband's 3/4 full.I took my soup back and was told you only get one ladle.I said it should be a cupful as stated but was told no.I went back to my seat but was livid as I hate to be ripped off.I asked for the manager and the guy on the till said I will give you more soup which he did.The soup was lovely and the sandwiches also good made with lovely bread. The guy came over to take the plates and said he was sorry he upset me and I said you didn't upset me and I had been annoyed at being done.He apologised and offered me a free lunch.I advised I am only here for the day.The next thing he was back with 2 sweets in a box with forks and napkins to eat later.I thanked him for the cakes. We had them with coffee later on and delicious. I don't know the guys name but you have restored my faith in humanity and the cafe.We will visit again and encourage others to do so also.Thank you for your understanding.

Fabulous find on our way from East Lothian up to Dundee. Lunch was delicious. I had the Light and tasty batter on the Haddock. Great chunky chips and peas. Very friendly staff and customers. Wish this was near our wee golf course in Musselburgh. 😉 Will stop by again if we are in Ladybank for sure. Thanks Kirsty,Phil and Theo.
