Absolutely STNNIBGfood, highly recommend. Will be returning again for sure! Chocolate Fondunt one of the very few in UK that isn't over cooked. Perfectly goowy!! The cocktail Honey OLD Fashioned was a smooth sweet delight and I couldn't stop myself from having 3 of them! Beautiful home mad and delicious real bread. Thank you thank you Thank you!

Generally excellent food and service, but honestly orange and basil crème brulee needs to be ditched.

Canmore House hosted my birthday and couldn't be more pleased with how helpful and accommodating the staff were and how great the service was throughout. Buffet was delicious

We were looking for a nice place to have our first meal in Scotland and found this restaurant off the main throroughfare in Dunfermline. This place did not disappoint ! The steak and ale pie and fish and chips were delicious, we had a lovely table in the sun on the back patio and Daniel took care of us perfectly. We are so pleased we found this gem!

Good food, cocktails and lovely staff.

Dropped in for lunch with a friend last Saturday. The good was great & the service excellent too. The Canmore is a very pleasant place to go for a meal and a few drinks. It has a very relaxing atmosphere, which I enjoy. Definitely my go to place when in central Fife.

Amazing staff, beautiful bar and restaurant - the menu is incredible and the drinks were yummy too! Can't wait to come again.

Visited with my wife on Saturday. We both had the cod main course which was exceptional. The service was first class and the overall experience was very positive. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Amazing service Came here with the family and felt very welcome, we did have two kids and a baby which can be very stressful but staff Daniel, Hanna & Gavin were patient with us. Gave us the best of service Food was superb also so big up Gavin and James in the kitchen also Establishment was clean and also has a large baby changing table which is very important for me Will definitely be back again 😁 xxx

Generally we had a good evening, however the chicken ‘special’ was over cooked so I was left with a rather dry and tough chicken breast with a non existent mousse filling! Also, French onion soup should have a slice of toasted baguette with melted cheese on top -not just a bit of toast on the side! The other dishes were good. The staff were helpful and pleasant and there was a good, relaxed atmosphere.

Three of us had a couple of drinks after a show at the Alhambra. Brilliant service and great tasting cocktails. I accidentally knocked over a full drink and they were lovely about it. They very kindly made me a fresh drink with no extra charge. Can’t rate the bar staff highly enough

We have had many private functions/family meals at The Canmore and can't ever fault anything about it. The food is amazing and always decent portions. The staff are all very friendly and helpful whilst providing great service and the atmosphere is always relaxed. Highly recommended for private events or just a meal.

Family and I dined there for mothers day. I chose scallops in a delicious dressing, fabulous, as was the roast beef roasties and veg. The staff were so attentive which made for a happy atmosphere. Pity I live in Aberdeen, or they would see my face more often.

Beautiful wee place to have something nice to eat and drink. Food was delicious and most of the servers were lovely. Unfortunately experienced a bit of an attitude from one waitress, when querying portion sizes, which ruined the otherwise great experience. Disappointed and otherwise would have scored higher.

Love the canmore it's a fabulous place, we haven't been for about a month but we came along for Sunday lunch today, best steak pie I have ever tasted.. (as usual) while listening to Colin and Paul fantastic afternoon really enjoyed it, can't wait to come back again, fab food and fantastic service, well done to you all. Sara & Gary 🥰🥰

As it was my daughter's birthday we booked a table as she had eaten there before and enjoyed it. Being vegetarian she was rather disappointed as the only vegetarian main course was not available, so therefore had to settle for tapas. The food itself was quite good but what followed was not. Upon returning home she saw she had a missed call from Canmore, so called them back. "We don't seem to have a record of you paying" - virtually an accusation of us not having done so! I paid on my debit card, I checked this morning and sure enough the payment is there. I have to say this has left a rather sour taste and I don't think that we would go back.

Popped in after a gig at PJ'S next door for a cocktail. There was live music Sophie De Rose excellent. Ending up staying till closing great performance and atmosphere

Great food, great atmosphere and amazing staff! Couldn’t ask for more… already booked to go back! Food was really fresh and plentiful, and good value for money.

Food was good. Table was confirmed for set amount of time however we were moved on before time expired. When we raised this issue we were told we could be moved to another area to finish our drinks which we agreed to. However we were then given seats next to the kitchen where staff were squeezing by to serve people. Not a great experience and has put us off going back.

Awful. Upstairs was freezing and the room smelled of damp .The music was too loud so making talk impossible. The food was miserable.Soup was cold , accompanied by a meagre slice of stale bread, and the vegetarian main was an overcooked squash, some couscous, two sprouts and three shreds of carrots. Toilets were dirty. Overpriced and an overall dismal experience. Hugh.

Just had a family lunch to celebrate my sisters 70th birthday. There was 21 of us so we were given a room upstairs. The wallpaper was peeling off the ceiling and walls and the room felt very bleak. The ceiling began to leak so the waitress put a bowl on the table to catch the water. We were refused any form of discount despite spending £577. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT

Always a fantastic meal here. Lovely staff and very friendly atmosphere. The staff always try and accommodate different tastes and the cocktails are to die for.

We just had my engagement party in the function room food and drinks were excellent and the staff were amazing couldn’t have had a better time! Set up all our own decorations beautifully aswell, Thank you again!

Absolutely no complaints. The food was delicious (steak pie) as was the beer (IPA). The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Today we were treated amazingly by the staff member Daniel we came in and got great service for food and drinks. The food was great and the portion sizes where reasonable and the cocktails where tasty too ,we would definitely highly recommend to others

We had a lovely family meal for 8 on Friday evening .Very good menu everyone enjoyed their meal . The staff were great.They were friendly ,relaxed and attentive .We had a very enjoyable experience and a few very pleasant cocktails too 🍹Would definitely recommend.

My first time here on Friday had a great night. Live singer, great food and great staff would recommend a visit.

We had an excellent meal here before heading to the theatre. We shared 6 tapas dishes all of which were delicious. Great, lively atmosphere with good service. Shout out to Alison & Keira who were amzing and Daniel who made me a delicious chocolate martini! Popped in for a nightcap after the theatre and enjoyed listing to the live singer. We will definately be back!

First visit for pre theatre dinner. Food was delicious and big portions. Excellent service and reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

Chicken slightly dry. Could do with a sauce or dressing.

Lovely meal and cocktails with my husband before a show at the Alhambra Dunfermline. We had the pre-theatre menu which had some lovely choices and you could have two or three courses. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and polite. I require a gluten free meal and there were good options on both the pre-theatre and dinner menu that were marked as gluten free. And had battered haddock and chips and it was delicious and a huge portion! The service was quick and they were aware that we had to make it to our show on time. The cocktails were very nice too! Overall a lovely experience and I'm looking forward to going back.

Been here a few times in the last few months and not been disappointed. The food is great, reasonably priced and the staff are very welcoming and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Might have been unfortunate, but not a positive visit. Looks good, very popular, but with a time limited table, the service was so slow we chose to leave to go elsewhere. No rating for food, we never got that far. Atmosphere, good music, not over loud, but the flat walls made sure the sound of screaming children was overwhelming. Really need at least one wall in the room we were in to be softer to kill the reverb. Made conversation hard. Staff were friendly, but even when busy, need to be a little more attentive/aware with the secluded dining areas. We left disappointed as we liked the look of the menu.

Had a special birthday party food & entertainment was organised, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was upstairs which holds 50 persons, had a great time.

We'd tried to go to Monterey Jack's but they were unexpectedly closed - it turned out to be serendipity. Absolutely gorgeous and delicious food, and friendly staff who seemed genuinely pleased to be working there. We felt at ease immediately. I'll definitely be back soon as it appears I can take my dog (who is extremely well behaved and will be sitting in his own seat which we'll bring with us).

Chicken was cooked to perfection, so juicy. Our waitress was absolutely fantastic. I don't live anywhere near dunfermline but would go back to eat here again!!

Probably the best bar/restaurant in Dunfermline. Great food, amazing staff and on the nicest street in the town. The staff are pretty cool too.

Visited for drinks for the first time. Great welcome and nice little bar. Good customer service and selection of drinks. Good prices. Only disappointment was that this place allows dogs in and worse still they allow dogs to sit up on chairs. Staff were well aware of a group sitting in the corner allowing their dog to sit up on chairs whilst food is being served but never challenged them. Appalling and unhygienic. I ask the management 'is this acceptable and worth it?'

Wonderfull atmosphere, friendly helpfull staff. Hannah sorted me and my Mrs out with some fine twists on margaritas, great job on the salted rims, she has a tool!

Only really went in to scout the place for a possible dining experience next time... really welcoming staff found us nice seat outside. The service overall and seeing what the menu has to offer means we will be back to eat soon.. Only took 9 months to find my way back for lunch. Really good menu options, I eventually opted for steak and ale pie. It was delicious! Followed that up with sticky toffee sundae. I couldn't finish it I was full from the generously portioned main. Washed down with a few glasses of pino grigio this was well worth a return visit. I won't wait as long next time. Btw service was excellent!

I was there for a friends 40th birthday meal last night in the room off to the side ground floor would just like to say the service, staff and food were all brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Food and drink were good, however the service was very quick and the dining room was a wee bit cold.

Fantastic night here earlier this month for my dads 75th birthday . There was a large group of us and we had a lovely private room to ourselves . Food was delicious service very efficient and friendly . This place is a wee gem in Dunfermline have eaten here a few times now and the food and service are always excellent. The tapas are fantastic ! There’s a good atmosphere and the folk are so friendly . Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend & look forward to returning soon . Special thanks to Nicole for all your help nothing was too much trouble .

Popped in for cocktails before our show at the Alhambra. Very busy but has a nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed the pornstar martinis but not the coconut rum martinis. Expected them to be sweet and taste of the rum but we were disappointed they were not nice.

Great place to get something to eat! Staff are really nice and always have a smile. Food was amazing and great value for money! Would definitely go again!

We'd travelled from Dumfries for the dentist. We were starving and as the Canmore was 2 mins walk from dentist we decided to pop in for lunch. We hadn't pre booked. We were seen to straight away. Plenty to choose from on the menu. I have to say the bar staff and lady serving us were so friendly and welcoming. The French onion rings are the best I've ever had and I'm 58! The quantity were very good in fact so good neither of us could finish our main course. My daughter had pizza and I had haddock which was lovely and fresh and light. Said we'd be back in 6 months! Would highly recommend.

Went with a party of 6 of us. The food was amazing. The service was very good. There was a great selection of Gin and other Spirits. I had the beef danube .... melt in the mouth honestly. I will be back and I will review again. The whole building is beautiful. Caters for weddings etc. I'll find out more nxt time and take some pics to share.

Had a ladies night to celebrate my birthday and we decided to try the Tapas and were not disappointed. Really good portions and the food was delicious. The only negative was the 2 chicken pakora portions were slightly overcooked and tough but as the rest...

Abbiamo trascorso un sereno e graditissimo pranzo. La signora bionda che ci ha servito, probabilmente la proprietaria, è stata veramente carina e gentile. Servizio impeccabile, veloce e cordiale. Cibo ottimo e la pizza all'haggis non ha niente da invidiare a quella italiana. Anche il risotto veramente buono. Locale adatto anche per i bambini. Salvato tra i preferiti!

Arrived 1700hrs on the 15th July. Had a look at menu and realised that there was a steak deal with a bottle of wine, however it started at 1800hrs. Asked if it was possible to have the deal. Manager and staff were more than happy to oblige. Absolutely brilliant well cooked steak and trimmings. Blue cheese sauce was amazing as was the peppercorn sauce. Bottle of wine went down a treat and was good quality. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. After meal sat outside on the balcony with the remaining wine in the evening sun. Would highly recommend the Canmore for an evening meal and a few drinks. Will definitely be back soon.

We were there on 18th June for a cocktail making class for my hen do it was an amazing day thanks to the staff for making our day, Adam was a great laugh and food was delicious Would highly recommend the canmore
