Been there last month, tasty fresh seafood. Didn’t try the steak but I believe the food quality must be really good as well. For dish details, please see every captions of the photo. A wee point I appreciated a lot was even the hand wash provided in the toilet is made in Scotland with high quality. I do appreciate a restaurant would like help promoting and supporting Scottish products in every small aspects.

Lovely family run restaurant with great food, ideal when staying at doubletree Hilton hotel in north queensferry, just next to the bridges. Expensive but worth it for the quality. Our lamb shanks with chickpeas was superb, and I had beautifully succulent mussels to start. Amazing standard of service. We always go here when we visit the area to see my mum.

As the name suggests “ The Wee Restaurant” is small but it has loads of character and atmosphere. We booked for lunch and the welcome was warm and friendly. They have both an A La Carte and a light lunch set menu and, as we are not big eaters, opted for the latter. Service was “with a smile” and very efficient. The quality and presentation of the food was what you would find in 5 star restaurants and the portion size for a light lunch was spot on and we managed all 3 courses without feeling over full. We would have no hesitation in recommending this great wee restaurant to potential diners but be sure to book.

The most delicious Sunday roast. Carrot, ginger, honey and marscapone soup was stunning. Full of flavour and silky smooth. An absolute wow moment. Roast beef and all the trimmings was melt in the mouth delicious with a generous helping of side dishes. Perfect wobbly panacotta and sweet ripe strawberries rounded off yet another meal to remember. All served with a smile and a lovely warm welcome. So enjoyed this today, thank you.

The Wee Restaurant in North Queensferry was excellent. Our meal was one of the best we’ve had for a long time. Scottish Lobster, langoustines, calamari and scallops were all perfectly cooked with delicious sides. The ambience was that special combination of relaxed whilst feeling like an occasion. The staff were excellent, service faultless. Please order the apple tarte tatin - delicious. We can’t wait to go back.

Lovely lunch with friends. We were a large group of 10 & the room to the left was a perfect size for us. Super menu with a choice of 2 or 3 course set menu or a la carte. A good selection of 0 alcohol drinks too for the drivers in our group. We highly recommend this restaurant. Oh & good value too!

Disgusting behaviour!! I have just called to make a booking into the restaurant and was greeted by disgusting service. The “host” answered the phone with clearly a disgruntled attitude and then asked for a £50 deposit for a table of 2 on a Thursday lunchtime. I was asking whether that would lost if we were late and he mumbled the T&Cs and then I said that it seemed a little confusing. He then said “fine, I won’t take your booking, enjoy your lunch somewhere else” and hung up the phone. Hopefully, if you make it into the restaurant you receive a better service than I did over the phone!!

Lovely place. A real gem. Great people and lovely venue. Food was fresh and well loved. Very tasty and great at catering for my allergies. It is pricy. A meal for two and I only had two starters and some sorbet was north of 150£. Don't get me wrong it was good food. But was it worth the extra price tag? Not sure. But do go. It is a cute spot in a beautiful location.

The food and service are very good with a small and changing menu. Ingredients are chosen for the freshness and availability at the time. We were looking for a good restaurant that was open early in the week and finding it very difficult. The Wee Restaurant was one of very few, very few. It had been years since we had been and we had fond memories of it. It is a wee restaurant, thus its name. The staff were pleasant and welcoming and it had a lovely atmosphere to it. The menu is not extensive but there is a good range of food both from the sea and from the land with vegetarian choices too. Most dishes were available as gluten free which was a great help as my wife has coeliac disease. My choice was Shetland crab as a starter then Iberian pork steak as a main with tenderstem broccoli, truffle and manchego fries and Dauphinoise potatoes as sides ( between 3 of us) and their 3 sorbets as dessert. We had a bottle of Grillo wine with the meal. It was all delicious and served quickly too which was nice. We were also very surprised at the price which was very reasonable considering the quantity and quality of our dinner which had consisted of 3 starters 3 mains and so 2 dessert and 1 bottle of wine. Clearly the years have not reduced its quality and I will remember this meal for years to come. I am sure we will be returning before too long has elapsed.

Good spot for a quick early dinner en route to the airport. Ordered, finished our meal and paid within half an hour. Lamb was tender, and the accompanying romesco sauce was good. The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. Had cocktails while we looked over the menu (so many good choices) and i'd recommend the Old Fashioned cocktail. I had Shetland mussels to start which were incredible, and then the special Flat iron steak for main, with a side of truffle & manchego cheese fries, again this was incredible too, all washed down with a nice bottle of red. Its was warm enough inside, table was set out in a plain and simple way and chairs comfy, staff casually dressed which i prefer as it feels more relaxed while eating. Food and drinks order taken, plenty of choice available. I opted for the scallops with black pudding, hubby hot the smoked beef with black garlic to start then i had the fillet steak with fries and broccoli, hubby got the halibut with jersey royals and asparagus, desert was banana tart tatan for both. We received a voucher as a Christmas present to eat at this restaurant and as we had never eaten here before were unsure of what to expect. We need not of worried! What a gem of a place. The food that we ordered was just sublime. Everything that came to the table was cooked to perfection. In fact, I would go as far as to say it was the best meal we have had at that level of cuisine. Better than The Peat Inn, better than The Kitchen and the meal as a whole better than 21212 (whilst it was open). The servers were polite, prompt and well presented. The dining area was spotless, warm and inviting. I can say wholeheartedly, it was the best meal we have ever had, if you want to treat that special person in your life to a special meal then this is the place. It's better to pre-book to guarantee a table, you won't be disappointed. The menu does change depending on the time of the year, so check regularly. Came here for our 31 wedding anniversary, the wife found it online. Parking is not the easiest outside, we managed to get a place outside a shut down pub. You may have to go round the corner, to find a place. On entering, to the left are tables on ground floor level and to the right, you go up a number of steps to the tables. So if you are in a wheelchair or have difficulty walking, you can use the seating on the left. Wife went for a steak and I went for the pork. And without doubt, they were both very good. Full of flavour and portion size was just right. Sides we went for jersey potatoes and asparagus & nuts. Again both were plenty full and tasted really nice. There is enough in both bowls, to share between us. Had a nice chat with one of the owners and she told us she had been there a number of years (I won’t say how many 😉). Would I go again? Definitely would go again

My wife and I visited the Wee Restaurant last Saturday at 7:30 for the first time, and the overall experience was excellent. I had the scallops to start and the lemon sole main, Eileen had the ribeye, and we both had the lovely hot-to-the-end skin-on fries as a side. If you visit, make sure to take advantage of the sourdough bread; it is superb. It is small, and when busy, it can get a tad noisy due to the intimate surroundings. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. The only negative thing I want to add is that when you go in, there are two small sets of steps to choose from, so I went up one and immediately stood amongst several diners with no staff around. At this point, I backed off, thinking I had made a mistake and went up to the other set. Again, we had the same scenario; we got spotted by a waitress, and she showed us to our table. I know it is wee, but a waiting point for new visitors or even a buzzer in the back to let them know someone has just arrived would be good. That aside, I would highly recommend the wee restaurant and its fine dining.

My wife said the scallops were the best she has ever had. The mussels were simply divine, well the sauce they came in was, mussels are mussels to a greater extent. My ribeye was very tender and tasty, her halibut with samphire sauce was "fantastic". (I'm not a lover of samphire).

The Wee Restaurant is one of the few places north of the Forth (and south of the Highlands) where you can get a decent meal. The food is simple, yet well crafted and well delivered using high quality ingredients. The overall result is a fantastic and unpretentious restaurant that you can go back to again and again (and we do), in the knowledge that you will get a great meal. It sometimes baffles me that it doesn't have a Michelin star, but to be honest, Michelin starred restaurants try a little too hard for my liking with food that is too rich to return to regularly. The Wee Restaurant fills that perfect gap in my mind that is excellent food quality, well delivered. Almost impossible to find outside of a city and even then there are usually only one or two that excell at this. Just wonderful. The halibut, when its on, is amazing, scallops and black pudding wonderful, the mussels in creamy sauce with bacon pieces are one of my favorites. Lamb always very good. A Panna Cotta that isn't too firm (a rarity outside of Italy) and and excellent Tarte Tatin. There isn't really anything on the menu that fails to delight. Wine is good, matches the dishes well and is reasonably priced.

Visited this evening, enroute Fife Coastal Path. Outstanding meal and service! Scallops and mussels for appetizers, followed by Gnocchi & Turbot mains. Everything so fresh, perfectly prepared and lovely presentation. Recommended Mosel and Red Zin were great complements. Our highest recommendation. We look forward to a return visit. Lovely wee gem of a place just below the bridge. I had a fantastic meal with my partner. The food was cooked well and the atmosphere was ideal for me. I also enjoy the service. Will be back.

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, shared the scallops for starters with some sourdough bread. My partner then had the ribye steak & I had the lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly, food was delicious & the woman serving us was lovely. We were both too full for a dessert but had a nice latte to finish off with. Nice quiet wee restaurant, pleasant atmosphere & beautiful location, we'll definitely be back

Absolutely incredible little restaurant! Decor was lovely, food was possibly the best meal out I’ve ever had. My wife said the crème brûlée was the best she’s ever had (and she does always eat it at a restaurant). Mussels were really amazing. Couldn’t recommend more (Edit) just to add that my wife had 0% gin and Prosecco and was very impressed with both.

The usual immaculate display from both the kitchen and front of house at the wee restaurant. The food was exceptionally cooked and well presented. The service relaxed but attentive, Ethan was very engaging with all the customers despite a full house, he took time to chat making sure everyone was well looked after. A thoroughly enjoyable evening to celebrate our Anniversary. Many thanks to The Wee Restaurant! See you soon!!

Delicious food made from high quality local ingredients. Best lobster I’ve ever had, excellent ribeye, addictive truffle manchego curado fries. Will be back soon to taste the entire menu.

Couple of nice real ales on tap. Black & Blue burger was very tasty, as was the Steak pie. Busy pub and full on quiz night.

A very cosy and intimate cafe tucked inside a lane on South Street. Visited on a rainy day for hot chocolate and scones, both were top notch!
