Really lovely cafe. So welcoming with cool decor. Delicious breakfast.

This has to be one of the nicest brunch experiences I've had in a while and would be up there with the best in any city. We were a large group with children, and they couldn't have been more accommodating in getting us a table set up. The service was super friendly, the food was delicious and only negative is I live too far to visit regularly 😁

Lovely little lunch spot just off the High Street in Anstruther. Staff were very warm and welcoming. We had a burrito bowl and a CLUB sandwich and the quality was amazing. Bread was fresh, ingredients were good quality and there was something for everyone on the menu. Would definitely return!

Excellent breakfast. Michelin star attention to detail and all that for breakfast ! Also very good gluten free toast.

Lovely place for a coffee, a snack or lunch. The eggs royal were amazingly good. Very lovely and friendly atmosphere too. 100% recommended.

Eclectic little eatery, however when I found a slug in my salad, although the waitress did apologise promptly stating - oh it must have been the salad as we get the leaves locally - the cook failed to offer his apologies and there was no offer of any reduction in the bill. This is not good enough. Very disappointed in this poor level of customer service as the place has potential. I hope others who visit will not experience this.

What a lovely wee place this is. We had the most amazing sweet potato and black bean quesadillas for lunch, so flavoursome and delicious that we came back for equally gorgeous brunch the next day. Lovely menu and friendly staff. Great coffee and stunning cakes also. Look forward to visiting again when we come back next year.

The 2nd time in a row we have been and advised they would keep a table for us. Took our name and advised to come back in 20 mins, we came back in 15 to be safe. On both occasions table was given away and owner not bothered or even remotely apologetic. Can understand if people don’t come back or it’s luck of the draw. Don’t advise you will keep a table and then waste peoples time. Maybe would’ve considered - return with an apology and not a half baked smile.

I was recommended to go here for Breakfast by my AirBnB landlady. I'm gluten intollerant and was told they had a good Gluten free menu. I ordered the Posh Bacon Sandwich (with Gluten free bread). This was clearly no ordinary sandwich (see photo) The Gluten free bread was the best I have experienced. It felt and tasted like real bread. I'd recommend this cafe to anyone who wants breakfast / lunch in Anstruther and surrounding areas. Almost worth the 2 hour drive from Glasgow. Next time I'm in Anstruther I'll definately pay them a visit.

Food was a welcome break from fish and chips. Burrito bowl was very tasty as was soup and toasties. Staff were very friendly.

Amazing place to eat, unlike other local places. Could't fault the food or the service a jewel in Anstruthers crown!! The fusion of flavours is sooooo good.

Popped in here yesterday for some lunch. Had smoked cheese toasties they were gorgeous even the GF one!! Great menu for GF, warm welcoming staff and dog friendly. Just a great place to eat. We'll def recommend and be back

The perfect place to have an excellent breakfast: welcoming environment, friendly staff and very good dishes. The only flaw is having to take a plane to go back :) if you pass through the Fife area it's definitely worth a stop.

One of the best brunch’s you’ll find in any city. The coffee is quality along with the homemade bread used for the sandwiches. Better than anything we had in STA or EDI.

Lovely spot for brunch/lunch. Friendly staff, great food and good service. Parking can be tricky but the town is lovely to walk through so no real chore.

We visit Anstruther a few times a year and always end up here. Friendly staff, great records on sale, lovely food, fair prices, stylish interiors. It just hits the spot. A perfect little cafe.

We popped in today for coffee and decided after reading the menu that we would have brunch! Can highly recommend the Posh Bacon Bap, it was delicious. Coffee was also nice and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to us as a family of 5. We will definitely be back.

Popped in for lunch today and wasn’t disappointed, we had chicken burrito bowl and a vegetarian one. They were packed full with chicken, rice, guacamole, corn chips and the BEST smokey beans ever! Service was quick and very friendly. If your in the area give it a go.

Delicious brunch with great ambience. Just needs a baby changing table in the washroom and we could have stayed longer for coffee and cake after brunch. Will come again if we can.

Love coming here Sat or Sun, especially takeaway toasters if I’m hungover 😂. Chill vibe overall, great music and ambience-though its popularity can mean it fills quickly. Get there early to not be disappointed if you want to sit in! Food obviously A+

What a wee gem of a place. My friend Elina took me out on a bright cool February Saturday brunch, we had both walked our dogs and were slightly famished. I ordered the avocado on muffin with smoked salmon, spinach, a perfectly poached egg and hollandaise sauce, oh my I was in heaven. The muffin, toasted to perfection and lathered in butter, the egg with its almost creamy runny yolk, the spinach still bright and green. I didn’t want to stop devouring it. The cortado coffee, smooth and delicious, served in the perfect size cup. The service was excellent, the Irish lady that asked if everything was okay with our meal had the warmest and genuine smile, was like a warm hug you get when you’re at home visiting your mum. The atmosphere just right, buzzing a little with the chatter of other customers tucking in and catching up with each other. At the end when I couldn’t eat anymore, I took home their blueberry frangipan, pastry nice and crisp and filling perfectly sweetened, not too much was eaten back home with a cuppa. Really recommend this place, you must give it a try, if you love fresh food, served with care and attention and loads of flavour ❤️❤️ A bonus, it’s dog friendly too.

We wanted breakfast & had the dog with us. Dogs were very welcome. Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent & quick to arrive. It was an excellent experience all round. Toilets clean also. They ran out of dog treats so Axl & another got a lovely chunk of Salmon skin… Worth a visit…

We had an outstanding lunch today here… food was amazing, all freshly made on the premises, service was better than first class, really made to feel welcomed from the owner and all the staff. Great value, if anything the food should be priced higher to match the quality. They also welcome dogs. Note there are to Rodger Street in the village, the one you want is near the harbour :)

Been in anstruther many times but never noticed this lovely place. Dropped in late afternoon for coffee and cake. Staff were vert pleasant and chatted to us while telling us what takes place. Cakes were lovely as was the drinks. Will make sure another visit will happen next time I am in the area

Popped in here for lunch. Great vibe, great food and great cider ! Going to go back tomorrow ! Worth the short walk from the front to find this wee gem. And they have a fabulous light. Make a visit to see it and enjoy their great food.

A friendly cafe with great vibes.

We visited this place last sunday. It was a great experience! The food was excellent and the service very warm. The vegetarian Taco-Bowl was delicious, 10/10 would recommend. In general they offered lots of vegetarian and vegan options. It was a bit crowded, so better be early :)

The girls were very helpful. Food was most pleasant and for ne personally the coffee proved to be nice a strong at last. Too many holiday cafes stretch the profits with cheap weak coffee. Not at this establishment. Thank you.

A taste sensation!! Delicious lunch today with mum and sister in law. It is a busy wee place and would be worth the wait. I had a Royal Bacon Roll with avocado, caramelised onions, egg, bacon and I'm sure there was something else in there too. A taste sensation! Highly recommend.

Excellent menu and interesting tasty food in retro surroundings. They also sell second hand vinyl records. Good service and loved the scrubbed wood tables. Busy and it deserves to be.

The best cafe in Anstruther by far. Cool interiors, very friendly staff. Amazing menu. It even has a licence. So nice to see new places open and do so well. If you are looking for a greasy spoon and plastic tray bakes this place is not for you. Great coffee and freshly made cakes.

Just to be clear, this is not a trendy hipster coffee shop that it tries to be, it's just basic. It hasn't been made to "look" like old chic but IS decorated and fitted out with old tat. The food was to say the least awful. The only good thing about the soup was it was hot. The cakes were so dry and out of date ( or left open to the elements ) that I could use it to sand down the rusty chairs. My cappuccino was rank. Lumps at the bottom. Either from the sachet not getting stirred properly or from bits of dry sponge falling in from the counter. Avoid if I were you, go to coast.

Came in for lunch after a particularly long bus ride from Edinburgh and was really looking for comfort food - this cafe definitely delivered! The menu is small but has quite a few vegetarian options! I ordered the quesadilla which is not traditional but nonetheless it was good! The portion size is perfect too. I also got the rosemary chocolate brownie (which is not a combination I’ve come across before) and was a bit skeptical but that was delicious too. The orange juice is not 100% fresh in the sense that it was probably squeezed in the morning - just something to be aware of if you are particularly sensitive to fermentation flavour (it is mild, but it’s there!) The service is attentive and helpful!

We've been here a couple of times now when holidaying in this area. Really tasty whole food and good veggie options. Wholesome and delicious, plus very tasty selection of cakes and fancy pieces! Staff are friendly and accommodating, atmosphere is lively and cosy. Looking forward to next time we visit.

Such a cozy cafe! With exceptional food and service!! I had the sweet potatoe quesadillas and my husband had the Bacon Bop. So delightful and a crazy good Chia Latte.

Popped in here for the first time, it was very busy but the staff quickly found us a seat . I had eggs Benedict and my husband had a toastie and both were both scrumptious. Will definitely pay another visit soon.

This lovely quirky cafe has a real friendly laid back chilled atmosphere notable as soon as you enter through the front door......staff are just lovely and we had a chat and a good laugh with owner Simone who hails from the same part of Ireland as Mary. The food is simple fair with good quality ingredients (best bacon Ive had!) and delicious too at a very reasonable price. I would thoroughly recommend this special wee place to anyone. They also hold dinner club nights and live music too. Unfortunately we were leaving the following day or we would have definitely booked for the Italian dinner night......Next time for shoor!! Bread and Butter in Anstruther is a very smart coffee shop with attractive furnishings and decor. In addition to hot drinks they serve a decent selection of innovative hot snacks and sandwiches. On this visit we just had coffees which were excellent and the service was lovely.

Excellent coffee and cake, great vibe and first class service.

Great cafe to have breakfast/ brunch/ lunch in. Dog friendly so furry friends are welcome too! I had the delicious soup (pea and mint, that day) and a piece of home baked cake (both vegan by chance). Frequented by both locals and visitors as, the staff are friendly and welcoming.
