Good food and drink in the East Nuke of Fife.

A very small yet dog friendly cafe serving superb cappuccino coffee. Pity its closed on Sunday and Monday so can't return on this trip.

Good coffee with a nice scone, all pleasantly served.

Excellent coffee served with a smile. Delicious bagels too. Dog friendly. We loved our visit.

Only in East Neuk for two days but visited the Giddy Gannet twice. Delicious coffee, bagels and cakes. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere, loved it!

Lovely cafe. Stopped by as Google said it was dog friendly. However, would suggest that it's more "little" dog friendly, as limited space. I had a Labrador, and found I had to keep moving around / move tables as we seemed to be in the way all of the time. Service was lovely and food was good.

We had a hot smoked salmon bagel and a bacon, brie and chilli jam one and they were delicious. The salmon was perhaps the nicest I’ve ever had and the capers and dill were lovely with it. And the coffee was delicious, thank you!

The mocha was balanced well and the staff were so kind… recommend!!

Visited for lunch - the interior of the cafe was modern and stylish albeit subtle. The playlist was cracking and the atmosphere was just right for a relaxing snack and coffee break. The staff were lovely and accommodating. We had the Naughty Piglet and East Neuk Skippers bagel with a flat white. Both bagels were moreish and the coffee was exactly what we needed, highly recommended. Following the bagels we tried the carrot cake, banana & white chocolate muffin and a brownie (we couldn't decide!) all of which were enjoyable. For awareness there was only a choice of 4 bagels for savoury options and no sides with the bagels. This seemed to put off some customers who popped in whilst we were there and there and left without ordering anything. All in all a lovely lunch spot and near the harbour and the coastal walks so a great place to kick off your afternoon.

Sie sehen nicht nur lecker aus, sie schmecken auch so. Ebenso der Kuchen, frisch selbst gebacken und sooo lecker. Und dann das Frühstück mit Scones und Marmelade … Das ist ein Muss. Hier sollte man unbedingt einen Stop machen, das Örtchen und das Café besuchen. Young people have created a meeting place here for tourists and local residents. The coffee is excellent. The bagels with salmon, shrimps, meat and more are incredibly good. They don't just look delicious, they taste delicious too. And the cake, freshly home-baked and sooo delicious. And then the breakfast with scones and jam ... It's a must. You should definitely make a stop here, visit the little village and the café.

We went into Giddy Gannet after visiting Pathhead nursery on Friday, 24th May. We wanted a coffee and a sweet treat. I couldn't believe we hadn't visited the cafe for over 2 years because it was under new ownership. It looks wonderful in the cafe, we were greeted when we came into the establishment... Which was quite busy. After getting our bearings we decided on our orders, placed our orders and made our way to a place to enjoy our treats. My black coffee was good after I added my half & half - which I always bring myself). The brownie/GF.... Which looked delicious wasn't. I could only take 3 small bites. It was either not freshly baked or just over baked. I was disappointed with the brownie but everything else was enjoyable. Even if we shared a table with quite a rowdy group of locals. 🤔

Very good vegan bagel! Perfect for a nice snack during our hike :) scones and ice cream also very nice. Staff is friendly. Would highly recommend :)

Great wee spot for quality food and drink. Remains respectful of the area and buildings history while delivering a modern, bright and comfy atmosphere. A genuine must for anyone travelling the Fife coast.

One of our top cafes in East Neuk of Fife. Impressed by food, quality of selection, and staff approach to service. The fact it’s located in one of the prettiest villages in Fife is a Brucie Bonus!

The perfect seaside cafe. This gem has amazing cakes, delicious sandwiches with local bread and wide range of delicious ice creams. The coffee is also outstanding. The cherry on the cake is the staff who are lovely and incredibly skilled.

We are in Scotland for three months and have been here around a week - bought coffees every day and this is hands down the best! Will be hard to beat - I imagine we will be back. (And the cinnamon scroll was delish too)

I have been coming to the Giddy Gannet since it opened and it is absolutely 5 stars. The owner and staff are so welcoming and friendly. The absolute highlight for me are the home baked chocolate brownies!!! They are the nicest brownies I've EVER tasted - they are perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth. You must try them if you love chocolate. Thank you for your superb baking skills 💗

Just popped in over my lunch break to see what was on offer at the Giddy Gannet, best mocha I have had in a while and service was excellent, will be using this place as my local for coffee next time I'm the village.

This cafe used to be great, but since the new owners took over, less spaces to sit, no interest in customers, limited choice of food, very limited opening hours. A cafe with wine bar pretensions! Would not bother again

Great little find in St Monans. The owner had kindly offered us muffins for free as we arrived after the cafe closed, such a lovely random act of kindness. They were the best muffins ever so we returned a couple days later for coffee, scones and more muffins. The vibe of this cafe is just right. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the menu is simple but creative. Great asset for this beautiful little place.

Stopped by St.Monans in a sunny but chilly morning and found this lovely warm and stylish cafe’. Offering soups and bagels (including gluten free options) with various vegetarian pescatarian and meat fillings. The flat white was of excellent quality, better than in a stylish cafe in Bruntsfield Edinburgh! The gluten free brownies with white chocolate morsel was moist and delicious. Had a lovely walk along the coast after these delicacies. Highly recommended.

Brilliant coffee & cake today. Especially liked the biscoff traybake! Service quick, timely, friendly, and a nice robust cappuccino. The brothers running it should be proud of their cafe. Would recommend.

Well. To say the coffee in this place is a million times better than elsewhere would be an understatement. Cheese scones are also fabulous, cheesy and peppery. The guys are also particularly pleasant.

Lovely building and decor make for a chilled out vibe in this little coffee shop. Small menu of bakery goods and filled bagels. We opted for the hot smoked salmon bagel and a fruit scone, both were delicious. The scone was probably the best I’ve had! Good quality coffee as well

Wonderful flat white and a tremendous, freshly baked raspberry & white chocolate muffin! I was delighted to find this lovely spot! It was lovely to perch on the cocktail stools at the window. Alas a patron unleashed a toxic fart while I was there, but can't be helped! I'd still go back in a heartbeat!!

Four of us went for lunch. Three rolls, two coffees, two cans of juice and a biscuit set us back north of £40. Wouldn't have minded quite so much, but the rolls were... just a roll... On a plate.... by itself... no hint of salad or crisps. At that price a total and complete rip-off. I expected a lot better for this kind of price. Expensive and over-priced.

Great chicken sandwich. And I was skeptical. Chunks of chicken, minimal mayonnaise, lots of red crunchy lettuce. Btw, the carrot cake, a family recipe, was also good.

Just wanted coffee - it was wonderful, needed a spoon to eat the foam ! Small place, but well set up with a variety of tables. Coffee and food delivered to the table, service friendly and efficient. I wish them the best for the future !

Cute café in very charming St Monan’s, one of the string of pretty East Neuk coastal villages in south-east Fife. Small, so you have to be lucky to secure a table. Very friendly and efficient service - everything came very fast, even though they were busy. We enjoyed a hummus and mushroom roll, a sausage sandwich and excellent coffee. They also do ice cream.

I'm torn between praising the coffee and cinnamon buns here and keeping quiet in case its too busy the next time we visit. On balance I thought I should share the good news with other hungry and thirsty vistoras and walkers on the Fife coastal path.

Popped in for tea and cake. Will try lunch next time we visit.

Amazing wee place, vegie sausage rolls 👌 & my daughter tells me the pork and apple ones are also amazing! Carrot cake, a must try 🤤 and every other cake thus far has not disappointed. Well worth a visit, lovey staff lovely atmosphere & we'll be back again and again.

What a nice spot. The staff were so fast with service, we were in shock. We ordered the focacia sandwiches and a breakfast roll. You know the foods great when the table is quiet. Really glad we found this place. The idea of writing a review crossed my friends mind, but we spotted her colleague had beaten her to it. If you can grab a table, definitely put this on your list. The wines for sale were also varied. Really nice selection

At first I thought menu was quite limited, however it was absolutely delicious! The simple choices were not only incredibly tasty but served really quickly. Food was piping hot, fresh and with great flavours and little extras like chutney for the sausage roll. Perfect wee...

Lovely little cafe near the sea front. Had delicious soup with home made bread, plus coffees and hot chocolate, orange and almond cake. All excellent. Went back today for breakfast, bacon rolls, scones (tasty but crumbly), more coffee and hot chocolate, and take away banana muffin and carrot cake (packaged up nicely for us). Friendly owners and staff, can definitely recommend.

Very lovely wee cafe, just steps off of the coastal walking path. We shared a mushroom soup which was piping hot and absolutely delicious, and the vegan sandwich option, also very tasty - a fairly small menu but what they do, they do very well. Friendly service too.
