What a great find - real coffee and service to match. We had cake and filled rolls ( freshly baked on site) ,bacon from the butcher next door. Proper ground coffee with a real taste to it. Judging from the the number of people eating , it is always busy. Congratulations to Alex on a well run café. We will return as often as possible.

Fabulous find on our way from East Lothian up to Dundee. Lunch was delicious. I had the Light and tasty batter on the Haddock. Great chunky chips and peas. Very friendly staff and customers. Wish this was near our wee golf course in Musselburgh. đ Will stop by again if we are in Ladybank for sure. Thanks Kirsty,Phil and Theo.

Had the carvery last Sunday. Very generous portions of meat! The sides were nice but the veg wasn't very warm and went cold quickly. Despite this I would recommend. Good atmosphere, nice staff and very reasonable prices for the portion size. Would have given a higher rating if veg was warmer.

Not as good as it used to be. Not been for a while but could always rely on a nice homemade bowl of soup and bread. Very disappointed on this visit. Not able to eat the soup it was water with oil on top and what looked like veg to be thrown out floating. Sad as it did used to be really nice. The bread was tasteless but like bread from some wholesaler wrapped in plastic with a use by date of at least a month. Nice enough people working in it. Prices would lead you to expect really good food but sadly this was not the case at all. Before 12 the vegetable lasagne was already sitting in the hot food holder getting drier by the minute

Muddy Boots is the perfect farm cafĂ©. The staff were all friendly and helpful and my bacon and egg roll was perfect, it was hot and very nicely cooked, as was my wifeâs bacon roll. My coffee was steaming hot which is just how I like it served. The cafĂ© is warm and comfortable with a very interesting central log fire. One slight downside, I had to ask for a spoon when my coffee came, I then had to ask for a knife to cut my roll when that came, and my wife had to then go and ask for napkins. These are minor details just for info for the owner as overall it was a really pleasant visit.

Bought a great double espresso and slice of lemon cake as a takeaway option. Always good service and the staff are very friendly. I try to stop here when I can on my way to or from Perth. The Lemon cake was lovely with just the right amount of icing and had a sweet tangy lemon jam in a delicious sponge.
