3rd visit this year ! A quality place to eat proper fresh food friendly staff - you always get a warm welcome. The large Chips in a basket are the best you will ever eat ! Homemade soups delicious and wonderful choice of cakes.

We visited on a grey September Saturday. We took a break from the Falkland Palace for lunch and visited Campbell's. We arrive about midday and although busy we could get a table. As we left there was a 45 minute wait. The staff were friendly, the coffees, sandwiches and soup all excellent. Do be prepared that the sandwiches are rather large and very well filled. A lovely coffee shop cum cafe and I would hightly recommend. I would suggest that you time it right at the weekends or be prepared for a wait.

Stopped In while visiting the palace had apple and cinnamon scones and coffee a So the best raspberry jam I’ve had since my grans it was amazing staff were excellent even managed to get a wee pot to take away

My daughter left her purse hanging on the bathroom door hook when we stopped for a snack at Campbell’s House Bakery and Eatery on our stop w/ a tour bus. She messaged the Bakery after hours when she realized it was left. They drove it up to us in Edinburgh so we didn’t have to miss our flights. Our passports were in the purse. Their kindness of mercy overwhelmed us. Not only was the shortbread the best buttery melt in your mouth shortbread but their heart for people takes precedence. A treat when we holiday in Scotland is the fruit slice. Here the best I could find was a date slice. But it was rather good. So much so I said so to my companions who only had a tea. They requested a corner of it, then another. Should you be in a similar situation, just say, “Yea, it’s fine,” and take another bite quickly.

We attended the February evening event with friends and was very impressed. The service was friendly and welcoming and the food was high quality and tasted fantastic, we were able to take along out of wine to have with the meal. Excellent event highly recommend.

Fantastic Valentines evening meal at Campbells, every course was well presented and extremely tasty. The establishment is looking amazing after a recent refurbishment. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Falkland.

Nice little Cafe with decent food, but, the service from the management was terrible. It was very cold in the restaurant so we sat by a radiator, it was not on so I asked the waiter if he could turn on the heating, his response was................ "I'll ask but I doubt it" !!, he never mentioned it again, very poor response. don't go in the winter unless you are wearing a thick coat....

Five of us (three Americans and two Aussies) had THEEEE best lunch at Campbells today. Great service as well, in direct contradiction to the review posted before this. The Thai Sweet potato soup was amazing. The Tuna melt, divine, the Crisp Jacket Potato was heavenly and the desserts were outrageous❣️ A definite must should you find yourself in this delightful burgh of Falkland.

I visited with a friend for a late lunch, we were given menus and told in an abrupt way that there was no soup of the day . No pleasantries or apologies. then when another waitress came to take our order my friend said what she would like and I went to give my order and the waitress held up her hand and said ‘wait !’ I waited as she stared at her iPad. Again no explanation or apology for her abruptness and lack of customer care. Further interaction with the staff continued in the same vein. The food and coffee was good however there are other cafes in Falkland where the staff are absolutely lovely and we will be taking our custom there in future.

Two of my friends and I went in for a takeaway coffee. The cafe was not busy, we had left our brollies at the front door on the way in. After ordering and paying we were asked to wait outside in the rain. There was no canopy to shelter under. We were extremely disappointed by this treatment especially as the cafe was not busy. On returning I will be sure to venture across the road.

We had very late lunch/early dinner here today. Although it was near their closing time we were warmly welcomed and service was very pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and great quality. The salmon fish cakes and Moroccan vegetable dish are definitely recommended! Good coffee and cakes too. We will be back.

A warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The restaurant area is kept clean and tidy and has a good atmosphere. The food is delicious and plenty to choose from the menu. I love the coffee and home made cakes - particularly the scones!!!. Well worth a visit to Falkland 😊

The staff were pleasant enough but disappointingly few options for vegans. The last straw was noticing a 60p surcharge for plant based milk, we left and went elsewhere.

This was a great little place in Falkland. We stopped here and had two pastries and two coffee. The pastries were excellent (gluten free muffin and pistachio carrot cake)! Highly recommend.

Falkland is one of Scotland’s most charming and interesting villages, and Campbell’s, on its central, impressive square, is an excellent place to head for coffee or a meal - it’s just a stone’s throw from the village’s great site, the National Trust Falkland Palace.. We had terrific Scottish breakfasts - beautifully poached eggs on toast, with delicious bacon, sausage and haggis. Great coffee and efficient service.

Oh dear..... Walked in, caught waitress' eye as we stood waiting to be seated. She appeared to be the only member of staff serving. She saw us waiting, but she was dealing with a customer at the till. Customer went outside, so we expected to be seated now, but we waited. She failed to direct us to a table but instead started making coffees. She looked up at us but then carried on with the coffees. We waited. Customer returned. She dealt with him. By this time we had been stood there for 3 or 4 minutes. We left. The hotel opposite served us very promptly.

Great food, excellent service, and a beautifully designed space, across the street from Outlander locations, as Falkirk was featured to represent Inverness.

After visiting the Falkland palace we asked around for recommendations for tea and cake. We were advised Campbell's offer both but with rude staff. However, we were lured by the cake recommendations. On arrival the cakes did look wonderful as did the menu but almost on cue , the lady who "greeted" us at the door and all but turned us away, her manor was very unwelcome. We chuckled to ourselves and found a lovely little place around the corner.

Was glad we had booked as it was fairly busy on an October Wednesday lunchtime. Fewer tables due to covid of course but still busy. The menu is extensive and everything we had was very good and appeared to be home-made. The chunky chips were superb - only about 8 in a wee basket but they were so chunky that was plenty. Soup was excellent, and paninis, sandwiches and nachos all superb. Very good coffee as well, and only the milkshakes slightly disappointed - again they were clearly home made but just a bit bland. I would definitely recommend this place though, which is perfecfly located right at the end of the market square. We will come back.

Fab place for breakfast. We were in Fife during the school holidays on a combined trip to see family and some tourist attractions. We started one of our days out with a breakfast at Campbells and it was excellent. Kids enjoyed their pancakes, I enjoyed my porridge (With caramelised apples and syrup) and mini breakfast and husband enjoyed his full Scottish. Service was great, food was superb. We would definitely come here again.

Excelente restaurante. Menú de almuerzo con algo para complacer a todos. La mayoría de las veces he tomado la sopa, la última vez fue de zanahoria y naranja. Delicioso. Desayunamos allí un par de veces durante nuestra estancia en Falkland. Gran selección de panecillos, escocés completo y tartas. Todo estaba muy sabroso. También tenía un panini un día que venía con ensalada. El servicio estuvo bien.Definitivamente visita si estás en la zona. Se recomienda reservar especialmente porque hay menos mesas por ahora.

This was our first lunch with our family since lockdown. Service was slow and the food was poor. My sons baked potato skin was solid. His coleslaw was more mayonnaise with hardly any vegetables in it. The children’s meal was dry and the portion was not enough for a child. All in all very disappointing. Nobody asked how our food was either. I won’t be back.

We stopped here for a late lunch after touring Falkland Palace. It's a small place, but they were able to accommodate our group of 9. Everyone had a great lunch and the service was very friendly. It's a very easy walk from Falkland Palace.

Valentines evening, when we were told that the coffee shop would do a special menue at night for the evening we jumped at the chance. I have eaten her for breakfast and coffee and cakes and have all been excellent so could this carry over to a five course evening meal? We were not disappointed the food was excellent quality and professionally presented with an amuse bouche and pallet cleansers. The staff handled the full restaurant with ease and the evening flowed very well. Credit to the chef and staff please do it again

Two visits in one day speaks for itself. We were doing a cycle loop around North Fife so as we always do we commenced with a bacon buttie. In the summer Campbell’s is usually very busy but a combination of it being March a Friday and Corona Virus it was quieter. We had a splendid set of hot filled rolls. Fillings were very generous and very tasty. The cafe is very well done out comfortable and the staff are very pleasant. We completed our cycle and returned again to find it busy but not packed out. This time we had coffee and cakes. The selection of cakes is also superb I can recommend the custard cremes simp,y superb. Can’t recommend Campbell’s highly enough

Well presented interior clean and friendly staff, sat at the window side and the view looking to the castle. Clean toilets. Lovely coffee and food, definitely going back and will tell friends.

Normally a very good coffee shop during the day with some of the tastiest cakes and foods around. As a special they held a valentines night meal, what can I say, the food was excellent, it was so much better than some top end restaurants, couldn’t fault it in anyway, they need to do more off these and believe end of March doing again! I will be there. I would xx advise to try it..., you will not be disappointed!!!!

Some diners seem to have had a hit or miss experience here but we visited twice in a week, firstly for coffee and scones and then a few days later for lunch. Both times, everything was perfect, great tasting food and service was friendly.There's a very good choice on the menu, plenty of homebaking to choose from and prices are reasonable.

We enjoyed a lovely evening meal for Valentine’s Day, food was well cooked and presented. The ambience was nice with candles on the tables. Although the restaurant was full the staff coped very well and were pleasant and efficient.

Wasn't impressed with this place at all. We live in the area but this was our first time visiting after hearing good reviews. My dad and I waited to be seated at the front door and despite this being noted by staff and tables being free, we were stood for quite some time. When greeted it felt very much like the staff were used to the tourism trade and we seemed to be treated as such. Once seated we waited to be served (tables still empty round us) and in the end I asked a passing staff member if we could order. They said they'd come back...they never did. In the end I went to the counter and ordered just drinks instead of lunch as the welcome and atmosphere just wasn't reflective of other cafes in the area. Highly recommend trying other cafes

We enjoyed a lovely evening meal at Campbells for the Valentines menu. Really high quality food and presentation just as amazing- credit to the chef. The staff handled a full restaurant with smiles at all times and made us feel so welcomed.

My wife and I were out for a run heading from Strathmiglo to Leven. We decided to stop off in Falkland for a spot of lunch and called in at Campbells. We were warmly welcomed by one of the staff and shown to our table. The place appeared to be quite busy which is a good sign. Many of the other customers were walkers as was apparent by their attire..

Enjoyed a delightful 10am breakfast this morning. Beautifully presented eggs benedict, cappuccino, lovely view of Falkland Palace and charming service. Only asking myself why I don’t do it more often. Very relaxing way to start the day.

Very disappointing visit here - cafe is well decorated and clean, with lovely toilets but everything else a let down. We were met with a disinterested waitress and had to insist on a different table that would allow me to tuck my crutches out of everyone's way. The breakfast menu was just slapped down on the table without a word, which itself followed the general 'customers not welcomed' ambience by stating on it that "no items on the menu could be changed or adjusted for any meal choice"! We ordered very pricey breakfast sandwiches which turned out to be two tiny portions of toasted sourdough with the requested food items laid on them - so not a sandwich then - and appalling value. In my case the tatty scone was so overcooked I actually could not bite into it or even cut it. Payment was made at the counter to staff who were reluctant to break off their gossiping and did not acknowledge us at all. Try another place, this is everything a cafe/tea shop should NOT be.

Found this for breakfast on first morning and enjoyed so much returned the next day. An excellent choice of breakfast dishes all freshly cooked. The sour dough bread was delicious. Friendly, clean and bright environment in an excellent position in the village. Well worth a visit.

I always stop by at Campbells on my way through to Perth. Excellent food and comfortable surroundings let down by poor staff. Seated and greeted by one young member of staff then forgotten about. Had to ask a young waitress (dark hair waitress with glasses) to take our order and she said that she would come over. 15 minutes to take our order from being seated. This waitress has no customer service skills and does not recognise the words please and thank you as never uses. If you don't want to be customer service facing then this indviviual needs to find an alternative career that does not involve people. When it came to paying the same non communicative individual took our payment and then slammed the receipt on the counter and walked off. Very dissappointed as this cafe has always been very good. Just need to change the odd staff member as this waitress is a lost cause.
