The Kettlebridge Inn in Fife

Myself and my hubby had a lovely meal on Thursday, when we phoned to find out if there was a table available It was late evening and the lady spoke to the chef as the last meal had been ordered. Due to the time the chef allowed us to get a table which was much appreciated This was our first time here as we were up in this area on holiday for the weekend Food was excellent and the staff were lovely as was the restaurant. It was that good that we booked again for the Saturday and went along with our daughter and her Fiance who joined us for our weekend away We will definitely be back again x

Drove past this so many times and never realised it was an Italian restaurant Had a lovely meal and service was really good despite lots of tables all coming in at same time We sat in the marquee out the back it was nice and warm Food was lovely, portion size is smaller than average if being critical but the quality is very good and prices are reasonable i will definitely be back

Nice Italian restaurant a little further out. We were first supposed to be seated in the adjacent tent (heater available), but luckily there was still a table available in the main building. The service was extremely attentive and the pizza also tasted good. The leftovers were easy to take with you in the pizza box. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Stopped in by chance as we drove by and found an incredible little pub, filled with locals (on both sides of the bar) who embraced our group of Aussie golfers and proved a true country Scottish experience. Erica, you and your staff are amazing and we are all so glad we happened across your lovely pub and restaurant. Whatever you’re doing…keep doing it!

First time dining there and we'll certainly be back. There was nothing not to like. Really good menu with freshly cooked Italian cuisine. Friendly attentive staff who didn't rush you through the courses. Thanks for providing a lovely evening for our group.

Phoned after visit to dear Park and were very friendly and had space in the marquee which was lovely and warm. Four diners each had pizzas, two of which were gluten and dairy free and were delicious! Staff were very friendly and accommodated the dietary requirements. Menu shows GF/LF/DF options with puddings also available. Have saved the location in my maps so we can pop in again on our next trip to Scotland. A must for anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience and also an abundance of options for dietary restricted diets.

I was in the Kettlebridge on Friday the 2nd, and had my usual fantastic experience, as did the others I was with, and those at surrounding tables. The only downside was when I witnessed a customer being unacceptably rude to a member of staff. I can only assume this person to be Rodney W of the previous `Extremely Disappointed` review. Being rude to a young woman half his size, and half his age in front of a dozen people only made him look bad, NO ONE ELSE!!! I notice that this was something that he failed to mention in his review. I hope he finds somewhere less busy and less popular to suit his needs. The staff dealt with this in their usual professional and courteous manner. The steak was AMAZING.....AS USUAL, and we accepted any wait that we had was due to it being a busy Friday night, but certainly nothing that would even raise comment let alone criticism!!! It`s what most people would expect in a popular restaurant. I interacted with several friends and strangers over the course of Friday night. Everyone was having a great time, and EVERYONE, who expressed an opinion, gave a glowing view of their night; my friends and myself included. The Kettlebridge Inn is a go-to place... THAT`S WHY IT GETS BUSY!! :) :) :)

On recommendation we took our Italian/Australian friends here to have an authentic Italian meal terrible results. From order to eating was overs 1hr 15m. When the order eventually arrived 3 plates were cold and overcooked, 1 burnt, 1 wrong and had to wait another 30min for this plate, only the burger was acceptable. The service was very slow. On complaining the owner was very apologetic and cut the bill in recompense. Very disappointing. Won't be back. Terrible experience for my holidaymakers. Apologies were accepted. Don't apologise, be better.

What a find; a must-visit attraction in Scotland! This is the cutest restaurant, with the loveliest staff imaginanable (huge shoutout to Erica, Gill, and team!), serving the best Italian food with a Scottish spin that could possibly exist. There is so much attention to detail (look at the strawberries in the cider glass!) - I have not been hosted like this in a very, very long time! I wish I Iived closer to become a regular! Also; they were (rightfully!) very busy when we were there - I would recommend booking a table so you're not missing out!

Just got back from an amazing meal here. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Staff were very friendly and the food was superb! Could not believe the value for money as well. An absolute hidden gem! Worth a visit or a trip to. Got bruschetta and a pear starter followed by two pasta dishes. All were fabulous. Will definitely be back!

I can't recommend The Kettlebridge Inn highly enough! We moved locally back in 2018, not long after it had been taken under the new ownership of Erica, and we couldn't be more thankful to have such a quality place on our doorstep. Having lived in Edinburgh for 8 years prior, we really didn't expect to find a place within walking distance of home, in this beautiful rural village, the food of which would live up to Edinburgh's best restaurant standards, but with it's authentic Italian chefs and Erica's warm and genuine hosting, it knocks the socks off some of our big city favourites! We visit regularly, taking our little spaniel with us, and whenever friends or family visit, it is our go-to place for a delicious evening meal. It's fantastic in all seasons with an airy beer garden and a cosy interior restaurant that really does place you in Italy in the heart of Fife. With a charm akin to the local pub featured in The Holiday and food that couldn't be fresher or tastier, it is a hands down winner in my book. Not to mention the fact that they have a substantial range of healthy and delicious Gluten Free options and are so accommodating and considerate when serving a GF diner. I recommend it to all my clients if they're ever looking for a place to enjoy a fantastic meal after a local Engagement Shoot. Love love love!

This is a wee gem of a restaurant full of character serving delicious food. Option of eating inside or in the marquee in the garden. The staff are genuinely helpful and friendly and together with the good food and wine, well worth a visit.

What a nice place with amazing food. It's a cosy pub with a warm welcome-athmosphere. We've had the Canelloni and the lasagne reloaded and it was so delicious! You have to go there but better with a reservation.

Had a family dinner there for my birthday and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly even though they were really busy. Food was delicious

On the way back to our accommodation from Falkland Palace & Garden, we were hungry. “The Kettlebridge” was shown to us along the route, so let’s test it out ;). Parking is quite good. We didn't have a reservation but were lucky enough to get a table. So if you're planning it, make a reservation. Nice staff, great atmosphere. Food was very good. We had calzones and lasagna, the classics, so to speak. Tiramisu and affogato for dessert. It was simply delicious and also good value for money.

Visited with two old pals for a birthday tonight. Warm welcoming intimate vibe of rough-hewn stone, rafters and candlelight in an old rural Inn with surprisingly first class Italian food freshly prepared by an expert chef. Bar in next room serves decent ales and spirits, all under the masterful charge of Erica the Boss. Really good, thank you. Thoroughly recommended.

If you want amazing food, fantastic service and a wonderful atmosphere this place is a must.

One of the best restaurants you can visit. Erica the owner is the kindest host and always does everything she can to look after you, and her team are the same. The food is incredible and the portions generous - you could pick anything off the menu and be right (though the Penne Norcina is my fave). My wife and I, as well as our extended family, have been visiting the KB for years - we even had our baby shower here recently, in the lovely heated marquee space in the garden. Could not recommend the KB more!

We ate at this charming Italian restaurant last night!!! The food was excellent and the service was warm and courteous. It was a five star experience in a quaint small town. We will be back each time we are visiting Fife, Scotland. Highly recommended.

My youngest son and my daughter-in-law took me out for an early mother's day evening meal. The Inn was full we had to wait 15 minutes over the time booked, but it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious the steak cut like butter, side salad had an amazing dressing the chips were 3 ways cooked perfectly. Dessert was also very delicious. So delicious infact we booked to collect some the next evening to have at home. The service provided was all to a high standard. Staff were polite informative and friendly. I will most definitely be going back very soon.

Fantastic food and service in a lovely wee Inn

Visited Kettlebridge Inn for a celebration dinner and all 5 of us enjoyed delicious mains and desserts. Was a lovely atmosphere and we felt like we had stepped into a quaint restaurant in Italy. We all agreed it was the best meal we've eaten in a long time.

Lovely place. Went for a Valentine's meal. Tasty, generous portions. Cosy atmosphere with lots of fairy lights across the beamed ceiling. Reasonably priced, and friendly service. We'll definitely try to return when we're next in Fife.

We visited Falkland today and looked for a restaurant to have our late lunch. By accident, we found The Kettlebridge Inn which really proved are good choice. The food were delicious, staff were friendly and helpful, we also liked cosy atmosphere inside with the signature of valentine day just a few days ago.

Authentic Italian, with always great specials in addition to the menu. Freshly cooked, highly recommend the anti-pasta for starters. Portion are good, service and atmosphere is great and always welcoming.

This was our first time at the kettle bridge inn since the Mexican restaurant moved and I have to say that tonight’s meal was one of the finest Italian meal I’ve had for a while! I had the chicken with cream and pancetta sauce and the chicken was out of this world with it boing moist and succulent and the the triple cooked chips were like how I remember good old home cooked chips as a kid. The service was great and very friendly which is more than you can ask for with great wine recommendations (although the wife might disagree..lol). The wife had the venison special which was very tasty and great portion sized. This will defo not be the last time we visit this great wee independent restaurant!

First visit - last minute booking as we were passing early - Erica was very accommodating and helpful over the phone when I was enquiring - excellent phone manner. We were on a tight schedule - arrived on time - already getting busy at 17:15 ! - four other couples already seated. Erica was delightful when advising on choices - cannot praise the service high enough. Food arrived in plenty of time for us to thoroughly enjoy, as it was excellent all round - we will definitely be back and will be treating some friends. This restaurant is a gem - oh and the beer & wine were excellent. Well done to the team that make it work.

Never been here before and if you blink you would miss it driving past. However so glad I booked for a family dinner of 8. Welcoming staff, cosy surroundings, authentic Italian food. Booking essential as limited space. Helpings ample, with enough leeway to allow for three couses . Clean plates all round!

5*. A great welcome. Super food friendly and efficient service. It was a birthday treat. We pretended after 43 years to be on a blind date. The food and the ambience made for a very Italian romantic afternoon.

This cosy establishment is a hidden gem. Their customer reviews say it all. Booking is essential. Cheery, welcoming staff. I'm not even going to go through menu but if there is nothing on it to please your taste I would suggest the problem is with the customer.....Rustic charm. All authentic Italian food which takes even the familiar lasagne to another level. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Portions well judged. Clean plates all round. Driving past here you would blink and miss it so make a determined effort to book. It's not open all week so book early to avoid disappointment. I could go on but our party of eight all enthused about the evening.

As it was my wife's birthday, we went out for dinner and had chosen the Kettlebridge Inn. It was outstanding! A warm welcome from friendly staff first, then we were seated in the cosy dining area. We both decided on the chicken dish with the leek/fig sauce, and were delighted with it - full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Our dessert choices, both involving delicious ice cream, were also a real treat. Decent wine list, and a reasonable selection of low alcohol beers. Two mains, two desserts, a glass of blush wine and a 0.0% alcohol Peroni - £53.50; excellent value for money. Portion sizes were great, too. 10/10 :)

Simply omg good. Proper sauces laced with flavour , creamy, well seasoned. Funghi starter in cream herbs parmesan .... oh yes please and a a good portion size Risotto was stunning and full of deep flavours The chicken is actually not overcooked the sauce was stunning... figs who would have thought it but it so worked Traditional tiramisu with a deep rich chocolate sauce ..... berries 65 quid for 2 starters 2 mains 1 desert and 2 great coffee's Verdict Yes yes yes please. What an absolute we treasure of a place. We where on our way home to cumbernauld from having a wee day out in Fife with the wee one and happened to spot this place on the way past and decided to pop in for something to eat. Visited here whilst staying in the area for the weekend and absolutely loved it. The venue was very cosy and atmospheric, the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming and best of all the food was simply exquisite, with a great range of daily specials in addition to many great options on the regular menu. Would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area!

Wir haben heute eher zufällig in Kettlebridge Halt gemacht. Freundlich führte uns der Inhaber nach der Standardfrage, ob wir bestellt haben, zu einem freien Tisch. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, leise Musik, gedämpftes Licht, schöne passende Einrichtung. Die Gastgeber waren sehr aufmerksam, fragten nach, ob alles da ist und es uns gut geht. Das Essen (Pizza Mixed, Hühnchen mit Räucherlachs, Sahnesauce, grünem Spargel und Parmesankartoffeln und ein Special Burger) schmeckte hervorragend. Die Preise waren absolut fair und mehr als angemessen. Wir haben gern Trinkgeld gegeben und am Ende noch mit dem sehr freundlichen und interessierten Inhaberpaar geredet. Eine rundum positive Erfahrung, die wir gern wiederholen werden.

Sat outside in the covered garden bar. A little chilly on the day. Service was efficient and staff very friendly. Food was great and reasonably priced. The decor inside the premises felt a little run down and in need of a lick of paint.

Have now been to the Kettlebridge 4 times in the past couple of months. Food is superb. Erica is the perfect host and so accommodating. Can't fault anything....Travelling the short journey from Brought Ferry is a pleasure in anticipation of the lovely food we know...

This is our favourite place to eat when we visit our family in Fife. Delicious food - without fail, great service no matter how busy they are, and always a fun relaxing visit. Top menu picks for us are the sharing anti pasti, the king prawn skewers, any pasta dish, the huge pork chop, the steak, and always the tiramisu. But honestly, it's all delicious. Their pasta is outstanding. It's one of the best family run Italian restaurants we have had the pleasure of eating, and drinking in. We're so jealous it's not in our home region! But we'll be back for sure. Thanks again for a wonderful family meal. Book a table and arrive hungry!
