Stopped here for a quick breakfast in the cafe. At the till was 'Stuart'. He is definitely not a people person, no communication, no smile, made us feel as though he was doing us a big favour by serving us. This is a very unfortunate attitude and made us feel rather unwelcome. On a positive note the food and coffee were lovely. Not sure if we will return, don't think a customer facing role suits this person.

My elderly parents, husband and I had an afternoon tea in the bar area. I had phoned to book and was told there was no need to. The Christmas decorations are absolutely fantastic. The food was tasty and we all enjoyed it. Although we have been on holiday in the area for many years, this was our first visit. We shall be back!

The waitress was indifferent to us as we entered and this should have been a warning. We had 3 very bad courses. A chowder as thin as water with what looked like frozen veg floating in it and little fish. Then a risotto sitting in a thin liquid and rice cooked to mush. Also the arbroath smoked pancake was small & thin, with little filling and no visible creamed leeks which were on the menu. We spoke to the sales assistant when we payed and he defended all the meals and told that's how a chowder should be !! He wasn't apologetic in any way. The poor quality of food and service was awful.

We Had a great meal here for lunch on the weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a good variety of cocktails. The food was great, though it was a bit annoying that only two turkey options were left on the menu. Overall, a wonderful experience.

This was a last minute decision on a Thursday night for dinner after work and my first visit. We were seated quickly, as soon as we got through the doors, drinks order taken a short few minutes after and likewise with the food. Our waitress was very friendly, polite and attentive. Would definitely go back. Thanks guys.

Popped in for a quick bite while in the area between a bit shopping and a walk up the Birks. Easily sat in one of the booths although plenty other seats available on our visit. Ordered the nachos with chilli beef to start then sticky toffee pudding. From the size of the nachos which are a starter we didn't expect the sticky toffee pudding to be as big, but we're not quitters and battled through 😁 We just had a brief visit but are back for a few days in December and would hope to visit again to try more of the beers.

Came for Christmas meal with family. We had 3 course meal offer, well worth it. Food was very good, big enough portions. Service was great, even though it was quite busy. Ordered food, served courses with plenty time to enjoy each course. Good atmosphere and easy access to toilets. Call ahead to have ramp access laid out if you use wheelchair etc.. Been a while since I'd last had meal here. Worth visiting, staff very helpful and friendly as well.
