We stayed two nights on the rob Roy way. Lovely clean room good friendly staff and a great breakfast to set you up for the day.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and very spacious. We enjoyed our stay. We also ate in the pub below, and enjoyed both dinner and the complimentary breakfast the next morning!

My husband and I just had a 2 night dinner, bed and brealfast stay in this lovely hotel. Room and bathroom were absolutely immaculate. Breakfast was first class, good choices and both dinners were delicious, proper home cooking. Staff were all extremely pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Lounge/bar area had a nice atmosphere. Cannot recommend highly enough. We will definitely be back!

Ate here for the first time despite being regular visitors to Aberfeldy and we were pleasantly surprised. I had the starter of the blaggis scotch egg as a main and this was plenty for me. My partner had the spicy pizza and was a very generous portion and a very good pizza. Would definitely recommend.

We visited on a short holiday to Aberfeldy, and we booked a table for early dinner on a Monday evening, knowing that we’d be hungry and not in the mood to cook after a 6-hour drive. Schiehallion is a typical high street pub, it would accept our dog and we weren’t expecting anything beyond bog standard pub food. What a surprise - our meals were superb. Really well prepared and cooked, the food quality was way above our initial expectations. They also go out of their way to make furry friends welcome, with dog blankets and treats available. I can’t give our visit 5 stars though, because of the horrible experience of having to sit next to a table of very drunk lads, who didn’t bother to temper their language or topics of conversation and consider the non-drunken family within 2 feet of them. Maybe keep the boozers away from the eaters? The food here is too good for a family to come away with a less than positive impression.

The staff were all having a party the night I stayed and the noise was horrendous. There was banging doors and music and shouting and finally 1:30am I had to ring the hotel from my room to speak to a very drunk worker who slurred he was sorry. I asked to speak to the manager whom I was told was too drunk to come to the phone.

Stayed for two nights and was very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent and the staff were very friendly and polite. We will be back. 😎

Before i travel i always plan options for dining out as we are real foodies. Upon our recent visit I reserved a table for us as a family of 8 to enjoy a meal after our elopement. I chose this before ever seeing it, but it was the menu choices that caught my attention. The day before i actually walked past and second guessed my choice as i thought from the exterior it looked abit run down compared to other venues nearby, however this just proves don’t judge a book by its cover. We had a faultless dinner, this has NEVER happened when out as 8 (5adults, 3kids) All the starters and mains were well presented, perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. The interior decor is suited to our taste, staff really friendly and atmosphere was perfect. Sorry no pictures because i was too engrossed in the food. I hoped it would be good but its the best meal iv had in years - i had the roast chicken breast with mushroom leek fricassee 👌🏻 We had one guest stay in the hotel and was extremely happy with the room they were in. We loved the food so much we came back as a couple the next day to try more menu items. Again faultless. The plant based gnocchi with puy lentils was such a pleasing option id never seen on a menu before. Really Loved it. Over the two days i think we had every menu item except pizza. Highly recommend the dishes i had myself already mentioned, but was not a crumb left on anyone plate. the jalapeno poppers and the breaded mushrooms were also especially good. I dont know how i almost forgot to mention the rustic fries, i dont know your secret but my gosh they are the best chips iv had my whole life! Its truly a hidden gem, the locals clearly know where to go as tables looked all full. Would recommend to everyone i know visiting the area, book ahead to avoid disappointment. We enjoyed the food so much im already needing to plan another holiday to get more especially after writing this review! I stayed here during my 2023 John O’Groats to Lands End ride, when I was accompanied by my wife and 13 year old son, who were acting as support crew. The Schiehallion Hotel is situated in the town, opposite the Coop, a Jet garage and Indian Takeaway. It comprises a number of rooms on two floors above the pub, which are accessed via a separate entrance towards the back on the side of the building. Dinner is available in the pub. We shared a large family room with double and sofa bed. The bathroom was also large with a shower only and useful heated towel rail. The accommodation is simple and functional with no frills. A continental buffet breakfast is available in the pub with a cooked breakfast to order but with 140 miles to tackle I was up and off to early to try it. There is free overnight parking in a public car park behind Coop along with parking directly outside for up to one hour to allow for drop off or pick up. My bike was locked securely away in cellar at the back of the building accessed by staff. Be careful of the steps which are ancient and rounded, especially if wearing cleats!

On our week long stay in Aberfeldy, we discovered this place on our second night. Friendly atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. We ate here on 4 of our 7 nights. Highly recommended !

This might look like a local boozer, but it was really welcoming and super dog-friendly! The food was so good and the service was spot-on too. Not often we all sing the praises of the same restaurant. We will definitely be back the next time we're staying at Kenmore.

Fantastic staff, friendly very helpful and very attentive, food fantastic, great choices, we went on the Saturday night and the place was fully booked, and food was that good we went again on the Sunday night, Macaroni with spicy chorizo was so tasty and delicious and the Breaded Fish was the best we had had in a long time. Worth booking before going as we were so lucky to get a table on the Saturday night but after the Staff did so shuffling we managed to get a table for 4. Sunday we did just turned up but still managed to get a table. This was classed as pub grub but it was superb pub grub.

10 of us were there on Saturday evening for my birthday meal. Slight glitch at the start as there was a mix up of when our table was booked for, but massive thanks to the wonderful manager, she managed to get us all sat down at a table within minutes (the place was very busy!) The food was amazing, a lot of choice on the menu, and all big portions too- What's not to love? Service was quick, staff very attentive and even got a birthday cake thrown in too- Bonus! Family evening meal. Prices very reasonable. Excellent choice of gins, which went down well for ‘pre eat’ drink. The mushroom, truffle paste and ham pizza which I tried was delicious. Other members of our party equally pleased with their choices. Waiter was very convivial and friendly and knew the menu and could explain each dish on request without checking with anyone. After an horrific experience at Moness resort I stopped at this hotel. We were fortunate that they had a room available. Although a steep climb to room , it was fresh and vibrant.The manageress also found us accommodation for the Saturday as she was fully booked.Would stay again if able to climb stairs lol.We had a meal in the pub restaurant, which was very nice pub grub. My girlfriend and I recently stayed in aberfeldy for a few night's mainly to do the white water rafting experience with splash in which I had bought for her last Xmas as a present.

Whenever my wife and I are visiting friends in Aberfeldy we usually dine in this fine restaurant. From a wide ranging menu we often order their freshly prepared and very tasty Lasagna. Service is fast and friendly and their prices are very reasonable indeed. As one would expect they have a great selection of draught beers and wines. Should you be in Aberfeldy on vacation or for any other reason, I recommend that you dine in this excellent restaurant.

I wish they wouldn’t call it a hotel bar because it is a smashing Scottish pub with the unexpected surprise of good food. The fish was perfectly battered and fried to hot and crunchy. The chips were pillows of warm potatoes on the inside and crisp on the outside. The seasoned smashed peas hinted of dill and cracked pepper. Beer Wonderful, Dog friendly, people friendly, and good food! Life is good.

Just finished a meal here and have no complaints. Greeted on arrival by a very pleasant young man and made to feel welcome straight away. No long wait for food and what we had ( both steak pie) was tasty. Other customers coming in were greeted in the same manner and appeared to be enjoying their meal. Would definitely come back.

went in for last drink at 10pm before heading back to hotel poor service, barman uninterested more interested in going outside for a cigarette. I asked for diet lemonade he offered me coke!!!! Had a really enjoyable night with great service. Lovely homemade fish and chips and tasty steak pie. Staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. I would definitely eat here again when I am back in the area.

Nice pub friendly welcoming bar man recommended Schiehallion craft lager was excellent. We were in the day after the local beer festival finished and he offered us local heavies/ales at very good prices but I only drink lager. Good prices too. Worth a visit thanks.

Lovely friendly bar and staff when we popped in for a post walk drink and read of the papers . Very relaxed and dog friendly. Gin selection looked tempting too and serves food although we didn’t have any.

Stayed overnight in hotel as we needed to be in Aberfeldy for a 930am start the next morning. Hotel has recently been revamped so room was tastefully decorated and very clean with very comfy beds. It was a Friday night so downstairs bar was very busy but no noise could be heard from the room. Food served in bar until 9pm. We had Chilli and Lasagne both were vey good, the young boys serving were very nice and efficient. Couldn’t fault a thing, would not hesitate to rebook.

We visited here as a group of 4 adults & 5 children to have lunch & watch the rugby. We all enjoyed the food, the service was good, drinks very reasonably priced & a nice relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return if back in Aberfeldy

We popped in after visiting the Dewar's distillery for a drink. As it was Saturday it was well packed, with a good atmosphere. The staff and local folk were friendly. The pub very clean. Would recommend nipping in for a drink, if your there.

I'm staying in Aberfeldy with family for the weekend. We decided to eat here for dinner. The pub is lovely and clean. The food however is a different story. I had a curry with a sauce which to me came out of jar. My mum had fish and chips and that was tasteless too. The staff were lovely but the food not so much. The money we paid for it was definitely not worth it. Would I go back? Yes but just for drinks.
