Delicious meal and comfortable surroundings. The music hadn't started but there was taped music of live groups which was good.

A grwat music venue, excellent staff and a fun atmosphere.

Nice enough bar but awful service and attitude from some girl called Tyler at the bar who was extremely rude to my wife calling her mate and gave her attitude when she asked to see a drinks menu. One and done, poor beer selection also

Twa Tams has got to be the place in Perth to be! Had a couple pints of king slayer and a portion of house made stovies. The stovies has to be up there with the best I've ever had. The beer was on point also. I recommend!

Greatest pub on earth in my humble opinion. Really miss the place since moving away from Perth. Great food and the owners and staff are amazing. Hopefully will be back if work and commitments allow.

Sadly no food but great atmosphere. The various music is absolutely brilliant. Especially the Cajun Band. I plan to visit on a regular basis. 🌟

The kitchen was closed until further notice. The pub itself was dark inside, with no atmosphere, as was the background music. Staff were polite.

It's a wonderful place to have a sit down and grab drinks with friends. Always lovely and lively people here.

This is the second time that I have travelled up to Perth and visit the Twa Tams. A great venue to watch live music, the acoustics was simply amazing. The price for a pint in a city centre venue was pretty reasonable, the toilets were clean and had plenty of space. If you love live music, then give this venue a visit, you won’t regret it.

Always a great atmosphere at this. Some would consider it as a second home especially for musicians. Hottest place to go to in Perth. Beer prices have significantly improved recently, good sized, as well as sociable atmosphere for their beer garden. Sunday socials are fantastic for musicians who want a little taste of performing to an audience.

Went there with family for evening meal and a drink, while travelling Perth. Food was ok, portions on smaller side. Service was again nothing spl to write about. Atmosphere, not somewhere I want to go out for evening meal with family. Drunk & rough crowd, had to rush meal to quickly leave as I was with children.

Sunday social open mike. Lots of entertaining music by a range of different artists and poetry readings. Then super lunch. Good menu choice at good price. Large choice of draft beers and great selection of spirits and bottled drinks.

After a big hill walk we came for some lunch today and all five of us were not disappointed. Soup was spicy bean and full of flavour- just what we needed! My husband had the half portion of haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky sauce. He scoffed that along with sweet potato fries, said it was lovely! Our friends son has the vegan kebab, generous portion and really tasty. I had a glass of sauvignon which was really light, dry and perfectly cold, just how I like it. The rest had beer on tap- also really good. They have got everything right in this place- hopefully people will support it.

Great pub with a lot of live music

Great time at open mike afternoon. Well organised and good crowd. Several opportunities throughout each month to experience a wide range of music from Folk to Indie. Only 4 stars as there was no food on offer. Then learned they had been having difficulty recruiting a chef but a chef had now been recruited. Looking forward to going back, eating and enjoying the music and scoring 5 stars.

We stopped in on a rainy day and was greeted with local hospitality, music, and beverages. Highly recommend to weary travelers and those seeking local music flavor.

The vibe in this place is top notch! Unfortunately we stopped in for lunch and the kitchen wasn't available so we just had a drink, but between the live music, the kind staff, and the clean bathrooms, this is a great place to spend a few hours.

We stopped here for food but the kitchen was closed. It was still a great place to stop for drinks and music! We stayed and had a drink and the music was beautiful! The atmosphere is exactly what we expect for a Scottish pub! Stop in for a drink and soak up the locale music! Loved it! Thank you, Twa Tams!

When I was staying in Perth I was as on Marshal Place just a few hundred metres away. Used to go here specifically for the live music. Great atmosphere. Loved the cozy fireplace. Great spot. Great history.

Was looking for a pub with a good atmosphere and live music....I definitely found it! Cracking pub, I won't be a stranger.

No food available at this time but, went to see a couple of bands playing, one jazz, and later the other playing rhythm n blues, both excellent.

Always a good time at Tams! Great music, great atmosphere. Wasn't too happy about paying £6.10 for a pint though!

A Wednesday lunchtime (kitchen closed) is not the best time to visit a music pub, let alone write a review of it. It was ok. Usual selection of high font beers plus Erdinger, which came in proper glasses. I missed the local draught cider offering until it was too late.

My wife and I have been to this pub a few times, inside and outside seating,good atmosphere good food,will definitely be back, 🙂

We were visiting perth for a charity shop shopping spree never seen so many and revisited the twa tams after seeing a band there last year as it was a hot day we dropped in for a shandy the guy doing food and bar was very pleasant and we decided to have some lunch all the food we both ordered was excellent and it will always be our go to pub for food

Usually a great lunch but steak pie was dry and there was hardly any off it! Disappointed

If you find yourself in Perth and you like live music and good grub head down to Twa Tams. It was recommended to us by the guy who ran our pottery class and it did not disappoint. We had a lovely dinner and a lovely time.

Came here on my birthday trip for music and eats it was so good we came back for a second night. Food amazing and although music cancelled the second night the food and ambience was top notch.

The live music and crowd in Twa Tams is generally really good. Their social feed is good for being aware of whats happening through the week too. But, unfortunately due to a couple or exceptionally grim bar staff it is more common than not that the vibe of the whole place gets dragged down into the gutter. All from the attitudes of a couple of rotton eggs, which makes me feel sorry for the other staff members. I've honestly seen cheerier mortuary assistants.

The facilities are nice and the music is usually good, but some members of the staff behind the bar are not friendly at all and it ends up compromising the energy of the place.

Great place. The service was great and friendly. The food was ready quickly and everything was great. Lots of nice cozy tables.

Very nice place to have lunch. The guy that served us was very nice and very helpful. Would recommend this place for lunch and dinner. Will visit here again.

A friend who lives local hosted and took us here for a few beers and a meal… Spent a lovely day walking around Perth so fancied a big meal. The restaurant was getting ready for live music so we sat outside and got our orders in. I ordered a Peri Peri chicken burger and thought maybe a side of nachos would go nice to start. Turns out the Nachos could probably feed the table of four and more. They was incredible, best nachos I’ve ever had. The burger was ace too. One of the best meals out I’ve had in a while. After our meal we stayed for the music which was brilliant. Great night out, would recommend if ever in Perth.

Must visit. My family and I were passing through from England to our destination further up north in Scotland. We stopped for some food here and we are so glad we did. The staff were so hospitable and thoughtful. They brought water over for our dog, offered biscuits and poo bags. They then gave my son a travel pack for the road. The food was fantastic, 100% would recommend.

I popped in for a pint recently before picking my son up from childcare. For the first time in forever, The Tams actually felt like how The Tams used to. For two reasons. One, I stood at the bar. The bar! Stupid Covid restrictions curtailed that for far too long. (I know this isn't the pubs fault) Secondly, the music was absolutely banging! (which it hasn't been in my previous visits in the past year) The barmaid said that she just kept adding songs to the queue. Bravo lady, you should DJ every shift 👏👏👏👏

No modicum of customer service. Only customer at the bar. Bar person elected to have a word with his mate who approached end of bar. I let this slide as it may have been important. When however the “friend/customer” joined me in the middle of the bar area did it become an issue. The bar person decided to ask his friend his preferred choice of drink whilst i stood patiently was very poor. I politely pointed out that in fact I was possibly next and was roundly berated by said bar person. Absolutely ruined a first visit to a well established venue.

Staff were extremely friendly, made you feel welcomed. food was nice nothing to fault at all, especially decent for a pub grub. would recommend, they also seem to have weekly live nights so if you enjoy music, you should check it out!

Fantastic food. We just meandered down on a Sunday afternoon for the standard open mic day. We decided to have lunch too, fish & chips and the steak pie were both brilliant. Great quality, taste, portion size & freshness. Much better than we anticipated. The gravy in the pie was so tasty and the batter on the fish was fluffy & crispy. Will definitely be back for a pub lunch.

Popped in yesterday for a bit of lunch with the wife, food was good bar wasn't busy but was during the week service was good and staff were welcoming, nice wee bar hidden out the road will definitely be back next time I am in Perth.

First time dining here for me and my partner and we both really enjoyed both our meals! Tasty food with little time wait! One of the best pub grubs we have had in a long time. Only down fall was it was a bit cold, never took our jackets off. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Visited the Twa Tams onSunday afternoon with friends. We were at Perth for 2 nights and this restaurant was highly recommended. We arrived about half 2 and enjoyed the music and a few drinks. Other customers were having food and I’ve got to say looked really good..so much so we decided to dine there too. We ordered 3 fish and chips and one steak pie…When the food eventually arrived we complained immediately about the cold chips which we thought were reheated anyway….The plates were cold …fish was swimming in grease ..We were given 2 portions of fresh chips however we felt the full meal was a total disaster …We complained to the manager who offered 10% off the £40.00 bill …This we declined and we won’t be back would never recommend having food in this restaurant .

Food was decent,nice steak and ale pie that wasnt just a stew with a bit of pastry floating on top but my word i couldn't wait to be away from the place because there was absolutely no atmosphere.

Just had lunch with friends. The food was fantastic as was the service. Definitely worth a visit. If you have room for dessert you will not be disappointed!!

We went in for couple of drinks. 1st time weve been to the pub since it opened after lockdown. It was very well organised and staff adhered well to all the recommendations. The service was excellent and distancing rules were well adhered to. It felt like a very safe environment. We would have no worries about visiting again.

Stopped in for a meal and a couple drinks on a Sunday. The pub wasn’t too busy but, it was early. Service was good. The meals (fish and chips / steak pie) were fine. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable. All told, a cosy little pub that hit the spot.

I visited here recently with friends during a night out in Perth and really enjoyed it. We ate dinner, had a couple of drinks and, after a few games of pool, returned later in the evening to listen to the live band. The food was decent and reasonably priced and the band were very good. The staff were friendly too and dealt well with a group of guys who had drunk too much and were refused service.

Just left this place and, felt so let down, thought I’d leave an immediate review. Went to Twa Tams as a party of 4 and, as a first time user of their food service, was looking forward to some nice dinner. When meal arrived one of the meals portion of chips was cold and burger just above warm. That was not the problem - any kitchen can have an off moment. The problem lay with the waitress, who on being told the chips / burger were cold, asked what I wanted her to do about it. In the interest of total disclosure, 2 members of our party were completely happy with their meal. The waitress continued to have an attitude at our table following the above issue being pointed out and was quite abrupt. The 3rd person in our party felt their nachos were a congealed mess - this was NOT pointed out to the staff. Due to service - I’m not in a big rush to return. A simple “I’m sorry we will take care of that” would have solved all our problems. There was no offer to reduce the bill by the waitress at the conclusion of the meal. Another opportunity to redeem the situation missed. Feel very disappointed having to write a negative review of the Twa Tams as all previous visits to the bar area have been well above par.

Absolutamente delicioso y servido por un personal amable y servicial. La música era excelente, a la banda se unieron varios invitados, incluidos un saxofonista y un trombonista. Visited with family for lunch, ordered ginger beer , none, ordered beef chilli , none! No children’s menu, or none offered, paid £10 for my son to have fish and chips! Dj playing at 2 in afternoon, couldn’t here each other speak, did say to staff but wasn’t turned down! Food they did have was ok, a bit on pricey side nothing to rave about, probably won’t return.

Ordered a pint of extra cold Guinness, as the barmaid was pouring it I politely spoke to her asking her to not hurry it as I preferred it stage poured, she totally ignored me and continued to complete the pour in one! She then unceremoniously placed it in front of me and snapped “I’ve got other things to do as well you know” the place was not busy and there were at least 3 people serving, within minutes she was back propping her chin up with her hands as her elbows rested on the bar counter

Came here for lunch and had the loveliest meal. Jenny gave us some great suggestions and she wasn’t wrong! Black pudding pakora and haggis filo cigars with a whisky sauce were simply beautiful! The mains were equally as nice. I had the beef olives stuffed with white pudding and my friend had Asian chicken noodles. Yum! Dessert was local berry crumble to share (I obviously had the lions share) The place looks great since the refurbishment, the choice and quality of the dishes were excellent and couldn’t fault the lovely Jenny for her service. It always makes or breaks an experience for me, can’t wait for round 2 in this lovely welcoming quirky cool pub x

Since the Twa Tams has been taken over things have vastly improved, the atmosphere is fantastic and the food is brilliant but perfection has definitely been achieved with the Sunday roast, I'll let my picture day the rest.

Popped in here whilst in Perth for a quick drink. Reasonable prices and checked menu for food and again reasonable with good choice. Handy for all bus routes so perfect for a non driving day in Perth. Will return.

What a wonderful pub! The service was outstanding, Mark, Sammy and Katie were delightful and so very helpful could not fault these lovely young people! A must when in Perth!

Good choice of food. Prices are reasonable for town centre location. The staff are very helpful. Overall very good but the place could benefit from a redesign.

Dropped in for a late lunch/early dinner and was really happy that we did. Excellent attentive service from the minute we walked in and great food. My wife had chicken fajitas and I had Chicken Tikka Masala. Big tasty and piping hot helpings at decent pub grub prices. A nice pub with a little stage where live music is played at the weekends and well worth visiting. We will be back.

Visited on a very busy Saturday. Had to wait about 30 mins but it was worth the wait. Chicken bacon and leek pie was delicious. Friends had lasagna and fish (huge) both very good. Very good value. Staff helpful. Great range of gins to sample. We will be back.

Popped in here after our original destination was unexpectedly closed. Had no knowledge of the pub or whether we could take the dogs in either. Staff were very helpful and said dogs were most welcome.

Been there three or four times over they years for a pint or two. Most time its with my works reunion always have great time. Great atmosphere and great staff. Will come again.

We've been in before for drink but this was the 1st time for food. My husband enjoyed his burger but I had a steak pie and it was awful. Limp pastry on the bottom, dried up burnt stew on top and supposedly puff pastry on top. I had to tear it with my knife and fork. The jug of gravy was lumpy and congealed and tasted like bisto. This was a Saturday afternoon and there was only one member of staff on. She was run ragged.

At a smashed gig in Tams Good people, good bands, good drink. Mark is a class barman good times recommended

Absolutely amazing meal, full portion sizes and our generous server mark made our eating experience a joy, high quality meat and well cooked fries, mac and cheese was generously cheesy and drinks were crisply cold and well needed

I stopped by with my friend for a pint last weekend. The live music was great, staff very friendly, and had get deals on for drinks. We’ll be back to try the food next time.

Hubby & I had a rare night out with children. Visited on a Saturday night about 7ish. Place was busy but not too busy. Ordered food. We both choose burgers & added on a drink for an extra £2. Which was a good deal. Burgers were nice, & really enjoyed them. We had no bother placing our order & it was brought out quite quickly, considering it was a busy Saturday night.

Gave this place another go on Friday 27 July for lunch! Big mistake,although it was quiet the staff that were on were more concerned serving people at the bar! Waited a long time for drinks to finally arrive and then a long wait for food order to be taken, had to track down a member of staff to order! When the food finally arrived it was ok, nothing special! This place really needs to decide whether it’s just a pub or a pub with food! Serious staff training is badly needed!

We really enjoy the food here, especially the fish which is always large and.the batter lovely and crispy. The staff are friendly and the service is good. The children’s menu is also good.

Was in here yesterday 14/7/18. My friends and I were asked to leave as we were being to loud, considering that there was only 4 of us and there was music blaring I feel it was very insulting to be refused by someone who couldn't explain why we were asked to leave, and of course the manager wasn't available... WONT BE BACK

Excellent pub and well worth a visit. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and give great service. Food was excellent and very good value for money. Got 2 meals for £10.99 and have absolutely no complaints about either meals. Would definitely recommend

I highly recommend visiting here. The service was first class, food excellent and despite being busy, the place was kept clean and tidy. The bar staff went out of their way to help us with our specific requests and couldn’t have helped any better. The beer garden area is great on a sunny day helped of course by a few refreshments. The entertainment when we visited was superb. Will definitely be back for more, hopefully not too long.

We were staying in Perth for one night and we were looking for a place to have lunch, we were directed to the twa tams pub, it is a nice place to eat we had the chicken strips starters and Big chips pint of lager and large coke absolutely fandabi dozy nice staff made most welcome can't wait to get back to Perth to eat here again

Excellent chicken fajita. One of a number of new menu items on the revamped restaurant menu. Great service and very friendly staff.

The staff are always super friendly, the pub is clean and inviting and the new menu is a real winner.

Arrived here for lunch with the family and due to the hot weather we decided to sit in the beer garden. We went straight to the garden and a member of staff member came running aggressively behind us and said no under 18s allowed in the garden. I was so angry with the way that we were approached as the staff member was so rude in the way he spoke to us and never gave me and my sisters the chance to show our ID. I don’t mind getting ID as I look pretty young however there is a polite way to do it
