Visited with friends for brunch. Completely forgot it was Mother’s Day and despite it being super busy, the very friendly manager managed to accommodate us. Food was delicious! Highly recommend the French toast! Coffee was also delicious, super smooth! Although we didn’t have a sweet treat, the selection was great! Gift shop was fantastic and really enjoyed having a look around. Overall, highly recommend!

Lovely farm shop and gift shop - visited a number of times. It is pricey but everything is of good quality. Haven’t eaten in the restaurant so unable to comment on that. Plenty of parking available and walks nearby. Lots of nice specialist food and drink to purchase.

Lovely food in the restaurant and great shop. Cafe is a little overpriced as are some of their products (some are at least 3 times more expensive than in other shops). I have been a few times and I have always found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

Afternoon tea-- though overall the afternoon tea was nice.. ive never been anywhere that charges for a refill on the tea/coffee as part of the afternoon tea.. ive been to numerous places over the years and this is the only place to do this.. for practically the same price you have afternoon tea at the dome in Edinburgh Which is far superior

The "Something Different" stovies lived up to their billing on the Menu. A bowl of just cooked, boiled potato, carrot, turnip and celery. At the bottom I found the one peice of meat. The gravy was subtle, I am not sure if I found it. Plenty of pea shoots on the garnish to make up for the meat. The Chowder was equally heavy on veg and light on fish. Lovely situation and shop and very busy but not value for money.

Wonderful location! Food not up to standard! Venison stovies were a huge disappointment - there was no venison to be seen! Had to use the black pudding and bacon from other half’s buttie to add any kind of flavour. Never one to complain but on this occasion was glad it was brought to management attention as the cost was removed from the bill. Management need to read, reflect and act on feedback given as this isn’t the first review to highlight this! There are so many wonderful places in the Kingdom to eat - it will be a very long time before we would return.

Having had many visits to Loch Leven Larder, I have to highlight the poor quality food that has been served up on these occasions. On one visit I decided to have the Venison stovies. They were so dry that it was difficult to swallow them, they had no taste and didn't resemble proper stovies. Another visit by my wife and her friend they chose Chowder, which was all potato and a very small piece of haddock and a few prawns.Totally lacking of taste and extremely disappointing. Our last visit at the end of January 2024 with friends, we had the Chicken burger made from boned thighs and covered in bread crumbs which camouflaged the chewy bits inside. The bottom layer on the bun appeared to have a coating of some form of beetroot which made the bun resemble a wet sheet of blotting paper. The facility and it's outlook is really good, which attracts many people with prices at the upper end of the scale, but the quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Higher prices can be tolerated when getting good quality food. Someone needs to get their act together and fix this issue or customers will resort to buying a cuppa and a scone when visiting this facility.

Very quiet on a Monday so we got a table easy for the 4 of us at noon. The menu was a choice of 2 soups & mains so we all went for starters / mains … Pete’s burger was excellent bacon egg & black pudding very generous & enjoyable. One other was the starter of liver pate & marmalade chutney … one other chose the beetroot roll with a chicken burger very tasty & the last was the venison stovies ! The latter was more potato I thought the amount of meat was not enough a few bits carrot & celery so not the best choice especially for he price of the portion! We had coffees & a bottle of water , the staff were welcoming & did a grand job . We always enjoy a browse around the shop both the gifts & the food area . Far too stormy for even a short walk !

Popped in just for a coffee and cake hence why it's just 3 stars, must say that the coffee was in very small cups and pricey, had bigger cups cheaper but just as nice, there was quite a queue when we arrived and service was slow for having at one point 4 staff behind the till one lad was working his socks off. Decided to go to the toilet one toilet was out of use the other way full off empty toilet rolls, the bin was overflowing and towels all over the floor no excuses for that as plenty of staff around, I even took photos as that was unacceptable and I had to clean the toilet seat, which wasn't my job but didn't seem to be the staffs either, we had a look round but agreed with some reviews that not much is local ware and then on the way out a member of staff was cleaning a door and said to a lady in front of us something that she didn't hear she then repeated without looking to use the other door she was quite sullen and I thought to myself why don't you just move you have no idea if the lady could manage the door, or if she even heard as not all disability is visible was it necessary to clean a glass door when people were obviously coming out. I think some staff need some support and training.

Went to the Greenhouse area for a snack lunch today with a friend. Asked for the soup which was advertised but none left. Server offered to get something from the restaurant but did not know what was on offer. When she found out, it was a very poor pretentious choice. Selection of sandwiches / bagels was the same, not the sort of food I eat. In the end, there being nothing else I liked, I ordered a diet coke and a cheese scone (it was tiny). The two items cost and extortionate £5.00. I have a Live Active discount card which I tried to use but server refused to take it, said it was out of date (it was not as I used it elsewhere last week). My friend used her card and it was accepted! Why would they take hers and not mine? Why after giving her discount did they not come and discuss with me? Very poor service, servers were not in the least bit interested in giving good customer satisfaction. It will be a long time till I go there again

Arrived around 11.45 on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning. Found a seat outside as it stated that there was table service at the table we were at. Three servers were all standing idle at the doors to the restaurant indoors, never brought us a menu (I had to get one myself off their table while they were talking), took an age to notice us (it wasn't particularly busy), stated that they couldn't offer us a brunch (finished at half 11), and could only offer us soup as they couldn't take orders for lunch until 12 (it was 11.54)?! When they brough the food out (which was really nice), they came without bringing cutlery, asked if we wanted anything else, we said cutlery please, and we were told to go and get it ourselves! Unbelieveable. Really disappointing. If you're going to offer table service, at least offer it correctly. Servers were a bit daft, hadn't been trained either by the looks of things.

Met a friend here for breakfast and sadly I would be wary of going back anytime soon. Lovely shop, but the cafe leaves a lot to be desired at present. Quite overpriced for what it is and we found it most bizarre that only fried or scrambled eggs were available, not poached - didn’t much fancy fried egg for eggs Benedict or eggs royale! Having taken a look at the lunch menu also, it was also fairly limited and rather pretentious looking. This place has so much potential, but the menu and standard of presentation of the food is not what it once was. If this is resolved, it would be great.

As I did not receive a reply I was apprehensive when 8 of us plus 2 dogs travelled some distance to meet for a reunion lunch. Firstly the poor signage about dogs lead to confusion. The menu was so limited 1 member of the party didn’t eat anything and 2 ate from the kids menu. The location outside is beautiful but the whole experience was ruined by the poor limited menu, the method of ordering and the general confusion. We certainly won’t be back and we will tell our friends. A special day was spoiled for us.

Uninspiring food menu. Soup was ok. Chicken burger dry and chewy. Ham and cheese sandwich lacking in any real interest and again quite dry. A shame as a really nice location. Coffee was fine.

The views around the restaurant are fantastic - unspoiled countryside right by the Loch Leven lake. We walked from Kinross Castle to the restaurant - about a 6 km walk and that really helped us work up an appetite. It was a good thing too...

I love Loch Leven’s Larder! You can read my previous review! I’ve been a handful of times in the last 2 years as I live over an hour away, however I love it so much that whenever I can, I drive out of the way,...

I loved the Portobello Mushroom Burger that I had for lunch and the staff were pleasant. The view is lovely over to Loch Leven, and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. What I didn’t like was having to order via an App.

Thank you so much for a wonderful visit. Excellent quality food - my mushroom open sandwich was amazing and son was bowled over by his ham and cheese sandwich. Good explanations for gluten free and other allergies. A small menu but well executed. Lovely service...

What a fabulous location at the outdoor covered area, fantastic views over the countryside and loch. Lovely cake and coffee, perhaps a bit high price wise but worth it for the location, friendly staff and yummy cake.

Have eaten many tasty treats at Loch Levens Larder but sadly, today it was tasteless. Very bland Coronation chicken sandwich.

I stopped here on my walk on the Loch Leven Heritage Trail. It is well set up. A bit pricey, but great quality.

Please employ more staff. We had to wait 45 minutes before anyone offered us a glass of water or took our order. The staff looked as though they were all school kids and were very harassed. On top of that the food was variable. Some...

Had the worst ‘soup’ of my life. Bowl full of overcooked pasta and spaghetti loop sauce. Disgusting for £4.50. Over-priced, trying too hard to be better when they can’t get the basics right. Definitely won’t be returning.

We arrived here based on a recommendation, the road was astonishing. Upon arrival, we entered the amazing shop and couldn't help ourselves from buying a few things from the crazy variety the shop offers. Eventually, we entered the restaurant and a superbly nice waitress made...

Terrific informative baking class. Iain taught us how to make oatcakes and Selkirk bannocks and the ability to ask questions and get insight into the process was priceless. A great experience.
