Myself and 4 friends went for lunch explained at the start separate bills ---no problem. I had Garlic mushrooms they were terrible tasted strongly of vinager had breaded fish very overcooked breadcrumbs hard had to ask for sauce no tartar sauce served with fish had to ask for that as well said we would wait a little before asking for drinks had to try to get waitress attention for. drinks when bill came just gave us a total bill and said we could work it out ourselves at no time during our meal we were asked if anything was ok so at end of meal we had to sit with pen and paper and work out our individual bills was told I would not be charged £3 for sweet as couldn't eat mushrooms didn't notice till after was charged as we were all trying to work out bill Bad Bad service

Lively bar next to the Old Course in St Andrews. Expect to hear a lot of golf-related conversations! I had Caesar salad and salmon, both of which were very good, and served promptly by friendly staff. Has outside seating, which seemed very popular.

A beautiful spot, away from the cities and steps from the beach. I found this spot during planning a 2 week road trip around Scotland and I’m glad that I did. The estate offers camping as well as rooms in the main house, it’s also a working farm. I stayed in the main house just one night. As it was off season it was relatively quiet. The room was spacious, the bathroom offered a great bathtub/shower combination. There was a couch, and side table, and of course a kettle with a selection of teas. The bed was very comfortable. In the morning I headed over to the beach for sunrise, it’s 5-10 minute walk from the main farm house to the path up to the dunes. For me it’s always really nice to be close to the water and enjoy the sounds and scent of the sea. The staff were very gracious and welcoming. The breakfast was fabulous, offering traditional “full Scottish” breakfast to a la carte items that you may prefer, as well as a variety of juices, coffee, tea, toast, pastries and cereal. I’d definitely stay again!

We were staying at Gleneagles and made the mistake of not booking into a restaurant on our first night so found this place to eat. The food was beautiful I had beetroot and goats cheese starter and was very impressed all delicious… My only niggle was the drinks were quite slow in arriving but don’t let that put you off..

I would come back from Glasgow again for a lunch here. Pub grub doesnt do it justice, The portions are huge. The steak pie would have fed 2 people . Stewing steak was succulent and plentiful. Our bill for 2 meals and a starter was £22. Honestly, for a wee pub the meals were top notch. 👌
