Booking made for food and drinks for five people for Hogmanay on 3 December. Received email on 30 December checking that we would still be attending which was confirmed. Arrived to be told that the kitchen was closed - no explanation given. There was no one in the place - says it all. The Balencrieff next door were thankfully able to accommodate us. Give Urban Cocktail Kitchen a miss - I won't be back.

Just popped in here at lunchtime, being 'in holiday' mode visiting Nairn. I asked for a cone of chips and the chap that served me was very pleasant, chatty and polite. The cone was nearly overflowing with chips with plenty of salt & vinegar added. They were freshly made, hot and very tasty. I would highly recommend if you are visiting Nairn. I will definitely go again and next time have the fish & chips - well you are at the seaside :)

My workmate and myself got food poisoning yesterday from this dump. Chicken curry with rice. Will never set foot in the place again. And the woman serving us had a mouth like a sewer.

Had a very nice lunch - cajun chicken wrap and macaroni cheese. Lovely coffee and service efficient and friendly 👍. However, if I may, one gentle suggestion would be to consider tweaking the price of, what I'd call, the premium cakes. £6.25 for a slice of gateau and £5.65 for a piece of rhubarb tart with cream is, in my opinion, just too much. Not to take away from the other food and coffee that we had as it was good 👌 but we were a bit shocked when we got the receipt 😳

I disliked how one had to have a timed reservation. The small restaurant section had about 18 dining, so it was not full. The battered haddock was fair. It was accompanied by a generous serving of chips and a small salad. The duo of ice cream was very pleasant. Total cost including a 330ml beer was GBP24.75. Service was slightly pushy but otherwise OK.

Ate here whilst staying the night. The menu was ok but would have liked to see some more regional dishes like Cullen Skink and Haggis. I had the haddock and chips and sticky toffee pudding for desert. It was all fine although the plate for the main was very small and there was too much coleslaw for my liking. The pudding was also supposed to come with cream or ice cream and they never asked me which I wanted. It came with neither, just lots of glacé cherries for some reason!!
