I have been going to Cameron’s for the last 14 years! I recommend it to all my friends and family! I even order my outside catering from them. Unfortunately after the most awful experience today, I will NEVER be back!!! I went with a friend a month ago and we commented on the awful service. We both have been meeting up here for years! I put it down to maybe new staff and them maybe just having a bad day! I recommended for my friend and I to meet up this morning for breakfast. They’ve started a new service...sitting at a table to getting served instead of self service. We eventually got our order taken. The food and drinks didn’t arrive! After a 35 minute wait I commented to my friend that people arriving into the restaurant were actually being served via self service! So people arriving 35 minutes after us were actually eating their food or finishing it! So after having to address this with staff and them fussing around, another 15-20 minutes we finally received our food!! Was it worth the wait? The food was great! My friend had cold toast and cold poached eggs. How embarrassing for me! Inviting a friend out for breakfast and a catchup and this happening! I am so disappointed! What has happened to this place?

Ann street Belfast Nero today served by male member of staff. Only way to put it is service extremely disappointing and very rude. This member of staff will get this buisness nowhere as I’ll tell you one thing for sure i won’t be back !!!!.. Refused to fulfil my order and tbh money dosent grow on trees. I asked for takeaway and was responded to by shocking tone of voice, plates slammed down. I also asked for cream and wouldn’t have even noticed it was there there was that little. Female member of staff was very pleasant.

Haven’t eaten in Thompson’s for a long time and decided to try it out for a mid-week meal. Great food, excellent service and great value. There is a set menu at £49.95 per couple for two courses and a bottle of wine. We opted for starters and main. The pulled pork spring rolls were excellent, mains we had the pork belly and slow cooked beef, again both excellent. Service was friendly and efficient -couldn’t fault anything. Would definitely recommend.

36 min wait and request for ‘excuse me but, any idea where? etc met with ‘it’s on its way’. Lady floor supervisor clearly had enough of it all. Find a job you like and makes you smile. 10 mins later the saddest breakfast I’ve ever had slid across the table. Nothing hot. Bacon burned. Awful. Avoid at all costs. Accept it must be grim serving there with the masses BUT hey, dig a little deeper for some customer service. Maybe lunch menu and a drink in the sun better BUT brekkie…nah last time I got there. Didn’t have time to send it back. And this review will do for now. Happy Christmas all.

Service - The service was friendly and efficient. Accommodation - This was clean and comfortable, my only observation is that the blinds let early morning light in and the rooms would benefit from curtains. Colleagues on the other side of the corridor did mention early morning road noise. Food - We arrived after along day and initially planned to eat elsewhere, however after a drink at the bar and seeing the bar full we decided to eat at the hotel. A decision we soon regretted. I thought that a lasagne would be a safe option, however it was clearly reheated from the previous day (or earlier) and in an attempt to disguise this a lump of cheese was melted on top. Needless to say the dry tasteless lasagne and the melted lump of cheese remained untouched.

I've stayed in this hotel intermittently over the last year, just to clarify I'm staying for work. I prefer to stay in the Cathedral Premier inn as it's slightly more centralised for shopping, amenities etc. The hotel is great, however if your looking at booking right now there are substantial works going on to upgrade the hotel. Parking - if your driving - is quite expensive so bear that in mind. Facilities (I'm staying on a new updated room) are good, however if you want to hide your undies there are no drawers or closed wardrobes. (See photo) Staff and service generally have been great. However - I came down for breakfast my first morning this trip and asked to take out some pastries (I'm a busy guy, I need to get to work, also I don't tend to eat at 7am) but I was told by a male staff member (who was a little rude, if I'm honest) 'we don't do that here'. As I stay in Premier Inns every month for work I found that a little weird as staying in their hotels I've been either given paper bags to take pastries up to provided takeout boxes to take hot food to work. Long story short, on returning to the hotel I asked the shift manager if that was the case at this hotel - I was told unequivocally 'no' and I was also provided with paper takeout bags for my next breakfast and also given a free drink with my evening meal. Overall a win, but just be aware of a grumpy staff member says you can't do something at breakfast? If you've paid for it? You totally can. Finally (promis I'll shut up) if you pre-pay a meal deal, at this specific restaurant it's very limited as to menu plus there are hefty additions if you want, say, a steak etc. I stay regularly at the Cathedral quarter hotel which, the associated restaurant, Bar & Block has a more extensive menu with extras either free or at a cheaper price. Oh also be aware the kitchen is usually closed between 3 and 5pm.
