Cameron's need to step up! Called for brunch and unwisely chose a bacon and brie wrap. This was the worst brunch I have had in years ... I didn't finish it. It was lukewarm at best and the wrap was doughy, the filling not great. Instead of a garnish there were nachos (pretty dry and uninteresting. The staff were pleasant, but I felt ripped off at £7.50. Unbelievable. The previous week for Euro 7.50 in the Redcastle Hotel I had superb pastrami sandwiches and garnish. Cameron's have been guilty of careless catering ... I won't be back in a hurry.

A fantastic spot, close to Belfast and also to Lisburn. A young team of staff who were all extremely efficient and helpful to all our needs. Nice to see service with a smile! Couldn’t fault the food or the friendliness of the staff and there was a great atmosphere in the cafe. The prawn and avocado sandwich was unbelievable and the scones although massive were delicious ! Will definitely be returning in the future and it’s a must try if you haven’t already.

The cafe at this beautiful plant nursery & garden centre was crazy busy on the holiday Monday that we visited for lunch. There’s plenty of tables though, thankfully. The lunch menu is quite interesting, as was the breakfast menu. Our meals were a little slow arriving but given how busy they were, that’s to be expected and it wasn’t a problem. We had a problem with one of the meals, a food allergy was noted when ordering but overlooked by the kitchen. It was sorted out very promptly and with a smile. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch as well as wandering around the garden centre & plant nursery

I can't fault the food but at early lunchtime there were only 2 staff on duty at the food counter and neither seemed to have time to serve us. It's easy to blame staff for this but I think it's more likely a management issue. There should be enough staff on to deal with the quantity of customers and staff should be trained to greet customers regardless of whether they can serve them straight away. Apart from that it's a nice place, a little too warm and the bathrooms, while clean, could do with a revamp especially the floors. The food was very nice and not expensive.

I visited Cameron’s on Sunday with my husband and son. Whilst we were disappointed that food was not being served, we were greeted by the warmest, friendliest staff Johnny, Jordan and Gary. Gary is always so welcoming and I noticed him helping a lady with mobility issues. The young gentlemen serving the coffee where so lovely.

We always went to Camersons coffee shop and loved it. Never disappointed but recently we have found a big decline. New staff and incredibly slow service and less choice. Tea ended up cold because they had to get milk from god knows where. Same happened on previous 2 visits. Coffee wasnt much better. Very disappointing. Cant see us going back if at all.

Very limited menu and had run out of some items, struggled to choose, went for a bacon sandwich which turned up toasted, (not requested). No options specifically for children, also no still juice for the children. Ordered diced fried potatoes for little one's that they didn't eat, and to finish the driest millionaire shortbread I have ever had. Such a shame as its a lovely venue, sadly will not be returning.

Great to see the cafe open again after lock down. Lunch today was delicious - presentation was beautiful - staff taking a lot of care and showing great consideration to customers. Food brought to table. It felt very safe: hand sanitiser, signs and floor markings visible; contact details being taken. I'll call again soon and have no difficulty recommending it.

I visited Cameron’s during the week and felt safe with regard to social distancing. Today however Saturday, I left quickly as the space felt seriously unsafe. I’ve no idea what their safe number of customers is. There was no monitoring at the entrance and it was impossible to stay clear of people. My understanding is that business can reopen provided they adhere to safe distancing guidelines. Today this business showed no interest in ensuring the safety of their customers. I won’t return while social distancing is required which is a shame as I like this garden centre.

Called here for lunch just before 1.30pm and you'd think we were asking the impossible asking for food, very limited choices. Male in kitchen openly gave off and was rude to the female waitress. If he prepared the panini he clearly takes no pride whatsoever in his work. Panini was not even toasted or warmed. Bacon cooked just enough to turn the fat/edge to a pale white. Paid additional £3 for salad which was about 6 leaves, few cubes of beetroot and a teaspoonful of coleslaw. Head shakingly poor. Did I complain? No, I had company and when they quite clearly care that little, really what is the point in wasting your breath... I will never be back.

Part of a family owned garden centre, the restaurant is a bit of a trek and not the easiest found. Limited menu but good food, service on the slow side. Seems to be a bit of a disjoint between kitchen and servers as we could see one of our dishes sitting ready for service long before there was any action. Crowded and clearly popular - worth a visit.

The staff very helpful and we didn't have a long wait for a very tasty and well presented lunch.

Can't quite believe how awful our meal here was. Ordered freshly made salads, after waiting for them to be prepared, we were shocked to find that the lettuce was yellow & transparent-obviously well past its best and the 'garnish' of flowers were beyond dead - in a garden centre? Mentioned it to the waitress who said she'd speak to the chef - chef! NO self respecting chef could have let these plates go out. By the way how do you get bacon black? Also had to ask for our glasses to be rewashed and there were only 2 serviettes left - at 1.00 p.m. No comment back from the 'chef' hopefully too ashamed to come out from the kitchen. Certainly needs major changes if this place is to survive. I wish you luck. Could a vegetarian get a good meal here? Not sure about the good.

Hardly cooked, basically raw! Ordered a fry which came with mushrooms which I detest and would have had them removed had the menu mentioned mushrooms! Bacon also undercooked but fried eggs were frazzled so returned the plate for properly cooked eggs. Plate returned with eggs similar to first ones and with oil swimming on top of them! Scones lovely but coffee cold so had to order boiling water to heat it up. Handed a bottle of juice and no glass. Ordered ice but there was none available. No low fat spread or skimmed milk! Service below par. Not cheap, I couldn't tell if I paid for the bacon or mushrooms as I wasn't given an itemised bill. Won't be back!

Called in here yesterday with my mum for some lunch. Mum has Alzheimer's so I ordered for her, normally she goes for a dinner but there was limited choice so asked the server what the beef dish was as was told it was beef Stroganoff so i ordered that and was asked if we wanted rice or potatoes with it, we opted for the baby boiled potatoes, when I asked could we get some vegetables the server informed us she didn't think they had vegetables but asked would we like lettuce with it and asked another member of staff who I assume may have been a chef or kitchen staff as he was dressed in black catering clothing, he informed us no vegetables. I ordered the chicken & vegetable soup and tea for two. The staff member kindly brought our teas over to our table. Mum had a few bits of the Stroganoff but it was tough and overcooked and when I tried it myself it was bland, and was warm but certainly not hot and the baby boiled potatoes were undercooked. My soup was OK again not much flavour and about 3 tiny pieces of chicken. I didn't eat the wheaten bread but it looked OK. I was going to complain but to be honest I didn't bother, I think given the fact the mums left nearly all the meal speaks for itself. I used to eat in the place on a regular basis, at least once a month but the last two times I was there I wasn't impressed with the food quality and waiting times so yesterday made my mind up not to waste my money in the cafe and go elsewhere in future. It is unfortunate as the garden centre is quite good and the place has potential but the cafe is a disappointment.

Have been visiting Cameron's for years now, it has developed over the years from a nursery to become an excellent garden centre, gift shop, cafe/restaurant. The garden centre is a treat to walk around - it's beautifully set out with a wide range of plants and garden furniture. The gift shop is well stocked with lovely ideas for presents and household. The cafe has evolved and extended over the years and now offers a nice children's play area together with beautiful indoor and outdoor seating for adults. The scones are the best I know - light & beautifully golden. Apple & rhubarb tart equally good. Coffee always great too & Suki Tea. If I'm having a late coffee tho then I start to see quiches, flans, pies, stews & sausage rolls emerging from the kitchen. Always so hard to resist. The staff in the Garden Centre & Cafe/Restaurant are friendly and welcoming and always polite & helpful. You don't have to go all the way into Belfast for a treat.

We go to Cameron's very regularly for coffee or breakfast and occasionally for lunch. It is perfect for morning coffee with home made scones and pastries. Breakfast is made to order and very generous. The surroundings are lovely. Very clean and fresh. The new extension is built with well designed Windows so that wherever you sit you can see trees and greenery making you feel you are in the country even when on a main road. The garden centre and gift shop are a great asset too.The staff at Cameron's are the lynchpin of the place. Agnes and Angela are two of the staff who have been working hard there to make this a place you can go and have a good coffee and treat any day of the week.

Called here on way home from Belfast. Had been recommended to by a friend. First impressions were good. Beautiful interior and very clean. Kids area etc. Yes, its probably one for the Sprucefield man scarf fraternity, but two things stood out. One was we were late for lunch. And from experience there is little more annoying than the 'always right' general public turning up just as you have finshed clearing away. Shock alert - ready? Yes, this place of awful service?!? Could not have been more helpful or nicer. And I have rarely tasted as lovely a piece of quiche. Coffee brand could be a better one, but its honestly wasnt poison like some have suggested. Unless its the man scarves that are choking the taste buds of some. All in all well impressed.

My wife and I use Cameron's Cafe & Deli from time to time and apart from the food usually buy some plants. The service is usually friendly and efficient. I arranged to meet a colleague there on Thursday 19th January at 10:30. We ordered coffees and scones. For me visiting any restaurant or coffee shop is not only about the quality of the produce but is also about the friendliness of the staff. I felt like it was a production line. I got what I ordered, paid and endeavoured to be courteous and good mannered. Regretfully the staff member serving us was neither courteous or good mannered. Experiencing an efficiency that is characterised by severe bruskness leaves the customer very underwhelmed! Not a good experience!

There was a lovely log burner in the corner but it wasn't lit.Their portion sizes are very genourous. I had toast, scrambled egg and smoked salmon. Gorgeous scones. Awful cappuccino - like a latte with no coffee in it! Used to come here all the time but stopped coming because of the coffee and long queues and abrupt service. Was hoping things might have changed, but sadly not. No queues but still the awful coffee . Think there aren't enough staff, which causes those serving to appear stressed - no smiles or welcome. There is one really friendly lady , sorry I don't know name.

First the good bit - this is an excellent (if slightly pricey) garden centre - but you do get quality. What a pity the cafe gets the pricing but delivers miserable service & wacky portion sizes; we both had apple pie & because they didn't want to cut another pie, one portion was half the size of the other! Coupled with chef being too busy too retrieve a cream gun, after 5 mins we we offered ice cream to match our rapidly cooling hot pies! My advice to you - uy your plants here but don't bother with the cafe!

Lovely garden centre with a lovely little gift shop! The food/eats are great and the decor of the coffee shop, never disappointed. However on a recent visit I watched my coffees being rushed by a young barista and sadly had coffee grinds around the edges of the cup and down the sides which was a bit sticky and unpleasant to taste!! My mums cappuccino was more like a latte!! This may sound picky but I love a good cup of coffee and this aspect spoiled my visit! I will be back though as I love the place!

This is a nice little cafe and it has to be said, the jumbo sausage rolls were indeed massive and absolutely delicious. Add a pretentious, insubstantial little salad however and suddenly the price shoots up from £2.95 to £5.95! I also wonder how they can justify serving sandwiches at £6.95 and toasties for a pound more. The place was crowded when we were there so obviously some people don't mind paying these prices. I however can think of much nicer places to go which aren't downright greedy.

At one time this was my preferred drop-in spot for lunch and coffee in the Lisburn area, sadly, somehow it has lost its way. Over the last three visits it is noticeable service has deteriorated. Made the mistake of recommending it to someone based on my old impressions, then regretted it when they told me they were disappointed. Perhaps the staff have become complacent. One example, we were told our choice of meal wasn't available due to Christmas dinners, then having opted for something else spotted diners at the next table being served our preferred choice 15 minutes later! Also found staff weren't listening to orders, for example, asked for tea, only to be served coffee - trivial but would never have happened prior to the decline. Hope they get their act together but not planning to return in the near future.

Cameron Garden Centre is gorgeous to walk around. Trust me, I'm not even interested in gardening but I still really like this place. I've my parents, who enjoy gardening, to thank for introducing me to this spot. It used to be called Ballylesson Garden Centre but was renamed Cameron a couple of years ago. It's full of flowers, plants, trees, shrubs, garden furniture, BBQ equipment, bulbs, seeds, garden ornaments, gifts and plant pots. I love to browse and look at everything but have never bought anything (I don't do gardening!). However, my parents advise me it's expensive, so if you're into gardening you might want to visit Cameron Garden Centre for inspiration but possibly buy elsewhere. There's a lovely Cafe & Deli on site which serves scrumptious food. I've tried sandwiches, scones and salads over the years and the food has always been delicious. My gripe is that it's queue up to order and get your food. I hate this set up and much prefer table service, especially in a cafe like this where the food is of good quality. Plus Cameron's Cafe can be extremely busy and tables aren't cleared as quickly as I think they should be. The customer service definitely needs some work also as the Cafe staff are never very pleasant.Nonetheless, this place potentially could be great and a 5 star spot if they dropped prices a little and invested in some proper customer service training for their Cafe staff. I would still recommend it though as it is such a beautiful location.

Asked what scones were available and the served decided to rub her stomach in front of us! Coffee arrived at our table, followed by the scones on a plate, no knives, asked for knives, arrived without serviettes. So went and got these myself. Overall really poor staff service, boarding on ignorant! Won't be back which is a pity as the garden centre and shop are lovely, but let down by restaurant staff.

We went to Cameron's for a weekend mid-morning bite to eat and found that the only thing they were serving was scones. Breakfast finished at 11am and lunch didn't start until 12. The menu is limited at the best of times but it's totally ridiculous that there is literally nothing to order during that hour. Two members of staff ignored us at the counter for a good 2-3 minutes and continued to talk amongst themselves. One of the staff members said 'I am not serving those people' and walked off into the kitchen. We will not be returning. Plenty of other places in Belfast to eat that are much better.

Met a friend here for lunch as it was somewhere neither of us had been, and didn't enjoy it at all.I arrived before my friend so found my way through the garden centre, down a corridor and through a gift shop to the Deli/Cafe.It was surprisingly busy and totally understaffed. I asked a waiter whether you chose your table and order from there and he told me to ask at the counter. Bad start! The girl at the counter was quite abrupt and said that you have to order at the counter but can sit wherever you like so I went to chose a table. The seating is very odd as first there's the room that has the food counter with canteen style tables and chairs, then another room/area to the side with a few more tables, leading to a larger third area with a mix of couches with coffee tables, and ordinary tables and chairs. Although a few tables were free the tables hadn't been cleared. I sat at one of the couches and waited 5 minutes hoping that so wine would clear the table. As they hadn't cleared it by the time my friend arrived we moved back to the first area, to order and look for a clear table. The food selection wasn't great. I ordered the lasagne, and grabbed a soft drink from the fridge, then paid and took a seat at a table near the food service area. No ice for the cold drinks. Our food arrived in good time but the lasagne was not very nice. I ate it as I was hungry, but only because I didn't like the other choices on offer. It was served with a side salad, as was my friend's meal. Hers came with a few additions to her salad, little red sweet peppers. They were nice but unfortunately I wasn't given any in the salad on my plate. We decided to order coffee and have a bun. These were not labelled do we had to ask a busy served to tell us what they all were, which seemed to annoy those in the queue immediately after us.Again, not a great selection so I had what the waitress/server informed me was a shortbread. Upon biting into it I discovered that it was actually an Oatmeal type of biscuit rather than shortbread, so the staff need the food labeled too as they don't seem to know what they are serving. Coffee was ok.All in all, not a good experience. I bought so e plants in the garden centre but can safely sag that I will never set foot in that cafe again!

I called at the Cameron's' Garden Centre for some plants and decided to have morning tea in "Cameron's Café & Deli". Signposting could be improved - as the Café is at the rear of the Garden Centre. It's a self-service café and there were two staff serving. At first, I was ignored, but was able to draw the attention of an assistant by asking her a question about Rhubarb Tart. They hadn't any but did have Apple Tart; when I asked for a portion, I was asked if I wished to have it heated. I answered yes - and would have a portion of ice cream with it.I asked about milk, and was told that it was on the table. The assistant was very efficient - but "cold" and "matter-of-fact" - with little customer interaction. There was no excuse for this as the café wasn't very busy.Seating was comfortable and plentiful - and included three separate areas - plus a play area for children (excellent). Mostly formal seating but there was one corner with informal seating (that was being used by a very happy group of four). The Apple Tart was delicious - and tasted "home made".An excellent Café (and Deli which I also used) BUT staff need more training in "customer relations". Worth a visit - if attending the Garden Centre: Otherwise, there are many more excellent Café/Restaurants in Lisburn City - which is only five miles away.

I normally visit Cameron's for coffee and scones, both of which are normally excellent. My most recent visit was around lunchtime so I ordered a sausage roll and a large Americano. The waiter asked if I would like side salad with my sausage roll which I believed to be complimentary. I was given the sausage roll a few leaves of rocket, red onion and a small portion of potato salad. When I approached the till I was asked for £8.50. When I asked was this the correct amount the waitress at the till apologised stating that the sausage roll and salad was £5.95. I found this hard to believe as the sausage roll was £1.90 and the side salad an extortionate £4.05. I didn't complain as the restaurant was very busy and also didn't want to make a scene. Surely Cameron's must be joking with their prices?
