Food always tastes great! The chicken burgers are exceptional. My daughter loves the super sauce you provide and always lots of it. The girls in the shop upfront are always well mannered and kind.

Really nice chippy, lovely chips, nice sides, pleasant staff, not expensive. Great onion rings. Never had a bad chip from them.

Just been to cod father and ordered a super chip £5.45 and when I got home there was 1/2 chip and very little sauce served by a young fellow I think it was his first day.

One of the best chip shops in Lisburn I have never got a bad fish supper yet why don't you call in

Nothing special nice enough tho

A chippy that can't fry a decent chip is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot, I know someone fired a pipe bomb at yous but a how to fry chips book would have been much more useful, never again and not for the lover of chippy foods.

I had to wait for my order, but it was worth waiting for - one big fish supper was freshly cooked, tasty and filled 2 adults up. The shop accepts the card payments! It is my favourite 'fish and chips' shop from now. Thank you

Where do i start, first the staff look miserable and totally unfriendly. The only time the girl serving me made eye contact was when i paid for the meal, the meal was disgusting and inedible the worst i have had from any carryout. i certainly won't be back again.

Great food staff are very quick with your orders but I think they may charge 5p for salt and vinegar which is a bit extreme.

Situated close to the busy Ballymacash Road roundabout this carry-out fish and chips shop opens from mid-morning to 9pm. It is busy but the menu is a "mixed bag" with many appetising dishes and a few disappointments. My wife finds the chips have no real taste and one of her favourites, cheesy chips, causes the problem that the cheese is spread on top of the chips and does not mix together. Very disappointed, went in this evening at 7.45 to be told no sorry we're closed. Told them It's only a bag of chips I'm looking, don't you close at 8pm. Eh no Sorry!! Don't advertise that your open until 8pm then, poor customer service!!

Great fish and chips, lightning fast service. Battered sausages great too. Fish comes in lovely light and crispy batter and chips are tasty and fresh. Hard to beat

Second time in here. It's very clean & looks professional. There's a handy bit of parking outside. Portions are decent. I've a big appetite so got the large chip & 8oz burger. Two of us couldn't finish the chip. Prices are decent too.

Called here for fish supper, burger and sausage supper, staff could do with some training in customer care!! Food very greasy, sausages so tough I would guess they'd been cooked twice, chips pale and very soggy, fish tasteless and batter, awful!! Best bit about burger was the bap, at least it tasted like bap! An experience never to be repeated.

This would be my local "chippie" - and I have been using it for at least 10 years. Efficient service - and their food - especially Fish & Chips (I usually have battered cod) is very good. Young staff "giggly" but friendly. They provide chunky chips made with "fresh"/real potatoes; very tasty. Wide take-away choice with fair prices and good opening hours. Recommended.

We got two fish suppers from The Cod Father last month. Perfectly cooked fish in batter. Inside the fish was the most intense white colour, always a sing of freshness and quality. Highly recommended. I only buy fish and chips here so can't comment on burgers or pasties. The place is clean and efficiently run.

Shop is clean and tidy but staff are somewhat young and inexperienced. chips are a bit soggy and expensive. Fish could be better and would like to know if it is cod or some other foreign imported fish. shop is usually busy but there can be a long wait for the order to be ready. could do better

Food is hit and miss,majority of staff far too young,the girl at the till kept staring at me,I felt like saying "can i help you please?" place is reasonably clean but large deposits of solid lard under the draining tray was off-putting especially as it's hard not to see it as you approach the till,food was quite good,my only quip was I found chips a tad undercooked,decided on a thick shake-up mistake as there was a rancid sourness ran thru it,the flavour masked it but it was definitely not fresh,3 gulps and in the bin yuk

I can not believe the portion size of a medium chip for £2.45. The fish is definitely not Cod cheap foreign import. Staff no idea how to deal with customer's to young or inexperienced. one scoop of chips given to me the lady getting served at the same time small chip and fish got at least half again to what I received. I was going to go to Hunts but thought no I give this place a try wont make the same mistake again £14 something for my order totally disappointed. Does any one remember when you got a single fish the put a few chips in with them do not expect that at the Cod Father.The can not batter anything in the evening only in the morning?

simple as this ; food here really nice, till staff nice, man that owns it is miserable and has no people or customer skills! but as i say theres a good menu and range of stuff, just overlook the victor meldrew impersonater!!
