Simply Fish and Chips in Lisburn

Food is delicious friendly staff my only complaint is that when I do a just eat order my order is always incomplete ie missing drinks so far 2 kids meals no drinks oder put in a few weeks bk lemon Fanta because I wasn't hungry and had friends in when I went to get my drink it wasn't there fed up paying for something and not getting it I've just ordered tonight hopefully my order will be complete

Decent wee chippie. Ordered cod and peas ..Good large tasty fish with a few free chips...Tea also ordered, nice.

I get quite regularly from yourselves but after tonight won't be returning. Ordered to chicken goujan meals with coke and 2 garlic dips and paid for a 3rd one. Was given my meals with only 2 garlic dips when I went bak in to ask for the 3rd one the look I got made me feel uncomfortable and she just turned and walked off. She'd also told me I didn't get drinks as I got the dips but it only registered as I was near home that the first girl tat served me had asked wat drink I wanted with my meals so obviously told bare faced lies to my face when I asked about the drinks. I understand it was busy and maybe stressful but doesn't cost much to be polite. Don't usually complain but felt I had to this time unfortunately

Friendly staff. Sit in not fully available n food served like a carry out instead of a plate. Reasonably priced n good tasty food. Great get fresh cut chippy chips.

Great takeaway and sit in. Love their lunchtime special meal deals, great value and very tasty. Staff are friendly and while you wait you can relax on the 2 big sofas.

Been here twice. Found staff taking orders rude. I was in for a carry out but as they have a sit in I asked to use toilet. First time they said it was broken by people attending black parade. I said you are fibbing. I ordered fish goujons. Young lady reneged and let me use toilet with broken cistern link. Goujons were really nice. Second visit I ordered a cod fish. Asked to use toilet and was told it was broken. I said you are fibbing. Again she blamed band parade. Fish was ok but small for six pounds fifty. Will think twice before next visit.

Smash burger was delicious! Beautiful flavour and plenty of it. Yum

Food good. Staff rude. Not been here before and spotted it whilst driving by. so in I popped Saw the tables but was informed they were closed. I asked to use toilet but was told it was broken by a rude lady server. I asked was she lying. I then looked at menu on wall. Came back and was made to wait whilst carry out guy got sorted. I eventually ordered fish bites at £6.50, and was surprised when she asked me again if I really needed the loo and was directed to it and saw it could be flushed with lid open. Back to counter for a while and then came the fish bite portions. I went to my van to eat them and they were very good with about 8 pieces of fresh cod. I remarked on the reversal of attitude and even left feeling good. I will try it again.

Portion sizes are good nicest chippy I've had in a long time chicken burger was beautiful 😍

Was there today,ordered 2 fish suppers ,stated was served with mushy peas & lemon wedge,never got the peas or the lemon,had to ask the waitress for the peas,had our fish supper ate by time the peas came ,not good enough service really,however the fish & chips were delicious, would have been nicer with the peas,when we went to pay the bill was £25.20,they never even knocked the 20p off ,🤦‍♀️

Used to love this place but recently in last few months it has gone seriously down hill. Regularly, orders are wrong or items completely missing. And, when you ring, they have no clue what item is missing and even when they send it back out, it still arrives wrong. Only sometimes will you get compensation. Such a shame. Won’t be going back until they’re back on track. Buyer beware.

A nice clean, well kept and organised chip shop. Relaxed spot to sit in and open some evenings.

Time consuming. Having ordered a fish, i was served some small pieces of fish in plenty of batter & quite the chip. Staff member insisted that I had ordered a 'fish bites supper', or something like it, that I had never heard of before. Eventually I was served the fish I had ordered. I'm not in love with simply fish

Need to open the restaurant longer and open the toilets the hot dogs are as good as you would get anywere

The woman at the till was incredibly rude to me and my friends, she had a bad attitude for no reason, we were polite to her but she did not return the favour, I would rather eat a bottle and poop out broken glass than go here.

Can’t give a zero. Late and cold. Just eat app won’t let me leave a negative review. First and last time il use Simply Fish.

Got the Monday madness deal. Overcharged an extra quid, wings are plain with the sauce in the bottom of the carton and the pizza looks like a 10 inch rather than 12. Still a decent deal though

Prior to Christmas this place was definitely the best in Lisburn but it has rapidly gone down hill over recent weeks, our last 3 orders have been extremely poor, under cooked anemic chips, chewy battered fish, dried out chicken burgers, soaked in mayo & tiny chicken goujons. Further more whilst we got cash out of the kitchen to pay for the order the delivery driver came in to our house like some sort of bouncer waiting to be paid. Sadly we won't be ordering here any longer

I ordered a chicken goujon meal and got 3 chicken goujons, the last goujon was fish, I clearly never ordered fish, I had already half ate it the time I realised. Very disappointing, wasn’t the first time they got the order wrong.

Bad. Dry chips and fish. Very slow service. The flavour of the oil was disgusting. Any other chippy in Lisburn is better than this one.

Abusive staff. Rotten food. Very long waiting times. Placed an order online. They refunded it and when I asked why they didn't phone me first I was told to go f. Myself! Right in front if my 7 Yr old daughter. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

ABSOLUTELY DISCUSTING customer service here. When I asked why they refunded my order without calling first, I was told to "GO FK MYSELF" by the staff, in front of my 7 Yr old child. Nasty and disgusting.

Wife and I had food in it recently. Chips were woeful to say the least. Hard and cut offs. Need new potato dealer or fryer. Expensive also. Can't see us being there again.

Not the worst fish supper I've had but certainly far from the best. I waited 10 minutes before being served (I was the only customer in the premises), however the staff were pleasant but it seems that telephone/Internet orders take precedence. The fish was good quality but spoiled by undercooked batter, which was a soggy dough. A better use of my time would have been to drive to The Golden Cod/Maginty's.

Got a take out tonight for are dinner it was the worst dinner I every had and the food was like cheap will not be back if I was you I would stay away

Brilliant fish and chips, service can be a bit slow, they sometimes seem under staffed, and a wee bit dearer than I normally like to pay for a fish supper but then it is in a prime situation I guess and I do keep going back because they really have no competition without going out of town.

I went in for lunch and I ordered a cheesy chip and the lady serving me repeated after me "Gravy chip?" and I replied back "No cheesy chip please". I was sat down waiting for a while when I got the food it was a gravy chip. I had clearly stated I wanted a cheesy chip twice. I had no time to change my order as I had to be somewhere by a certain time. I was not happy with the service, I had been in once before and everything was fine except the long wait which is expected at lunch time. I will not be returning anytime soon.

Great for both sitting in and taking away. Prices are decent for the portion sizes. Highly recommend their food and the staff are friendly and helpful. A great range of food, is a easy favourite.

Called into this place this afternoon for lunch as I had been here few times before on upon entry I waited standing about waiting to be served as there where 3 staff members talking not even bothered aprohing me either as all 3staff stayed behind counter more instersed in turning up volume for miusc as it seems more important than serving customers two other customers showed up behind me I had asked staff member after 5 minutes standing around if I could sit in ??? As I noticed other customers were sitting in the staff member response was NO there was no reason either which I was very confused with as why other customers were aloud sit in?? Myself and two other customers in restaurant both walked out I will not be back as service was that bad and been lied to by a staff member who could not be bothered even saying sorry there website says this place is open from 10am and I showed up before 1 I'll not be back 👎

Absolutely rotten worst chippy in Lisburn burgers slapped together more garlic on it than chicken didn't put the cheese on my chip when rang to ask about it was told they would send me a tub of cheese down rather than replacing the chip the woman was nothing but ignorant on the phone and in no way helpful needs to do a customer service class stay well away

I got chips from Simply fish and chips in Lisburn , and they were the best I’ve had in a long, long time from anywhere , takeaway or restaurant ,or even home made . Well worth the £3 I paid. Would definitely go back, and I live in Dundonald !!!!!!

Excellent food, carry out or sitting in.

I have ordered twice from Simply now and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. The cod was cooked to absolute perfection as was the battered mushrooms and onion rings. Not greasy at all. I think that the salted chilli chicken meal is really delicious and the tub of curry sauce with it is too as are the chips. Delivery is quick even on a Saturday night. Keep up the good work guys. 👍🏻😁

Paid for meal even tipped the driver to find out there was a meal missing that was paid for food was greasy under cooked asked for coleslaw got it hotslaw more like over priced not good

Purchased a small chip and a cod bite meal, unfortunately there was a sweet taste of the fish, when I phoned to say that my meal was unsatisfactory the girl said that if I called back up with the meal they would give a refund, when I handed over the bag the girl emptied and checked the contents, she then refunded me only for the cod bite meal, saying that the small chip had been eaten, I insisted that I had just put the whole lot into the one bag, but she still refused a full refund, I left very disappointed as the meal was ruined and should have been completely refunded. I would not recommend this shop

I was in this chippy tonight and was shocked at the lack of hygiene and Covid rules being used, I witnessed that staff failed wear any Ppe, they were scratching heads, ears, hugging each other, Failing to wash hands afterwards, the delivery guy was also leaning over the counter unmasked, an absolute disgrace in these troubled times, what chance do we have.

I was visiting Lisburn with my family to see the light show, we decided to place an order via the app. This was simple and straightforward. The app told us our order would be 20 mins. When I went to collect my order the staff started looking for the order, it was obvious the order wasn't even started! I was told it would be another 15 mins. I don't mind waiting on an order but giving the wrong info is a bit annoying. The order was ready we left, when we reached the car we discovered the 2 pizzas were wrong. I rang to inform them, they apologised and said they would change them. I went to exchange the order and asked them if we could have fresh chips. We got the new order & new chips, all was good until we opened them. The pizza had barley any toppings on it, the chips were obviously the same chips that were reheated and now like a brick! Not eatable! While we were waiting there was another girl who was waiting on a wrong order also ( they were busy i get mistakes) but the way the supervisor handled the situation was totally out of order! When the girls order was ready she double checked it and it was still wrong! I heard her say there is no peppers on the pizza, the supervisor started shouting at her something about bring so busy! The girl said " that's not my fault" the supervisor told her the pizza should only have 2 toppings! The girl said the app said 3! It did as we got 3! The supervisor was then irate at this stage, she stated shouting something about the apps fault, the girl then asked for a refund in which she refused and said take it up with the app! She walked away leaving the girl standing there! Another assistant came to the girl and asked if she could help, the girl said I'm still waiting on my chips! At this point another assistant went to the door of the shop, turned the lights out on all the customers in the shop, and tried to lock the door, which I'm pretty sure is a h&s issue, leaving customersin the dark. The girl got her the chips, the assistant at the door let us out of the chip shop. Now there is so many wrongs that happened here, I get that ordered be wrong, we are all human! But the way this supervisor handled this was wrong in so many ways. The owner/manager really needs to look into her behaviour. I definitely will not be returning!

Friendly staff, menu has something for everyone. Food is lovely, a family favourite for us.

Got our order wrong then when we questioned it blamed us, spoke to us in a very disconcerting manner, need to brush up on forward facing customer service. Offered to correct their mistake, thanks but no thanks after that phone call I wont be back!

Best chips I have tasted in a long while will definitely be going back when I next visit northern Ireland

Just bought 2 fish today and upon opening them when i got home i was greeted with what i can only call the worst, most burnt, over cooked shrunken fish i have ever seen in my 60 years it was disgusting. They were about half the size they should have been just totally cremated. How anyone could serve that up then sell it i will never know. Took them back sadly the one who fried them was not there , the who served them was not there and saddest of all there was no other customer there. Just one very nice young girl left to take the flack. The owner of this place must never read the reviews so many bad ones should be ashamed of themselves . Give it a miss not even worth being called a greasy spoon cafe.

Me and my father absolutely loved everything piece of food that we order, perfection. Will be going back to simply again. My father even wanted to call them and tell them how amazing they good was, totally recommend to others!

Just waited 2 hours on cold chips and burnt crust pizza nicest part of it was the can of fanta I got with the so called meal never again

2nd order, and this one is as slow as the last. Still waiting for food an hour later. Phoned the restaurant, and got the same reply "it's just leaving the shop now" as our first order. The food is good, but takes too long to get to you, so it's not very hot. No notifications from 'Simply Fish & Chips' to say your food is on its way. I would give a good review of they could sort out their delivery service.

Too busy to take collection orders apparently.....app not working either yet signs outside premises encourage both methods at present. Not very helpful customer service on phone either. Baffling behaviour in these times

Delivery service is shocking. Waited 3hrs. When I phoned they struggled to find my order. Then said it was out on delivery. Honestly think it was forgot about. Didn't forget to charge me though. I know in current circumstances things don't happen as quickly but 3hrs. Even the staff on phone offered little explanation. Really poor service. Won't be using again. Only hope if food ever turns up it's worth eating.

Went in today and had fish and chips. The chips tasted like they had been cooked hours before and reheated. The batter on the fish was soft and slimey. Also it all tasted like they had been cooked in oil that was past its sell by date. Won't be returning.

Food was sticking would never go back. Half the chips were black and the food wasn't warm and the mince didn't taste cooked

The chips in this particular branch have never been in my opinion amazing, as I have eaten at the simply Fish and chips beside St George's Market and I love them. Everything else however is fantastic and highly recommend their onion rings if you haven't had them. Cannot speak for their pizzeria however, it's on the list to try.

Hadn't been to Simply Fish for about a year. Today was the worst experienceever....thick batter uncooked on the inside (slimey) waited ages...how soon the standard drops!...won't be back. .

Just had food from Simply who I normally love their fish, but was disappointed that it was thick stodgy batter forgot coujons and super sauce wont be returning anytime soon 😡

Very poor customer service! Ordered two Sunday dinners. Waited an hour and a half then phoned to see when I would receive my order, was told it was on its way. Phoned back half an hour later as still no food. And the girl told me it had been cancelled as there was no Sunday dinners in store that day!! After asking about my money I was told phone back tomorrow and speak to the supervisor. Awful service, I won't be ordering from here ever again.

Small portions, very pricey but lovely food.

We ordered two small chips and goujons with gravy, was charged for two large chips and then we waited for about 25 minutes for the order while the staff stood around joking and laughing, not telling me what was happening with my order. When I queried the small chips/large chips thing, I was told “She took for two normal chips...” like ‘What do you want me to do about it?’ Lack of customer service and apology, as well as a long wait for the food- not impressed!

Had fish supper and peas delivered by Just Eat. Chips and peas just OK. The fish was two small pieces of thin ends battered heavily to bulk them up. Worst fish ever. Won't order from there again.

Called in on a Monday evening out of the blue got 2 small fish suppers, thought it was very nice. The girls on were all very pleasant. Will go again.

Waited on a takeaway order for 35 minutes to realise at home the order was wrong, quality of food was terrible. Will not be returning. Staff are not very interested in there work.

Staff not interested when we entered the premises or when ordering, appreciate it was Saturday night but there was no one else in the place, just me & my husband, we were sitting in. It was all the staff could do to take our order & when it was ready my husband had to go to the counter to collect it, but a nice delivery man met him half way with order. From our observation on the night deliveries appears to be the main business not the personal interaction with sit in customers. We will not be back & certainly you will not be getting a recommendation from us. We have our business & there is no way would we, nor would we allow any of our staff treat customers in should a dismissive way, we are grateful to our customers, after all they paid our wages & keep our staff in jobs, something your employees should remember

Popped in for a dinner on the go. Had a bit of a laugh with the staff and got my food. Just finished eating and iit was very good indeed. I'll be back for certain.

No separate queues for sit in or takeaway means sit in waitress ignores you. Waitress gives you a menu and stands there. Doesn't show customer to table. Choose any table. When meal arrives it is placed in the middle of the table away from the k&f you have set out. Customers at back single tables sit on plastic garden seats.

Restaurant (interior) is aesthetically pleasing but food is very very poor. A tad on the dear side as well. Won't be back in a hurry.

Best fish in the town. My one year old little girl loves fish and chips from in here. Hubby loves it too, Food is lovely staff are great help and polite.
