A truly lovely little find in Blanchland. The man who served us (possibly the owner) was really friendly and chatty. He really made us feel welcome. Lovely tea/coffee, cake and scones. Would definitely recommend.

Keiron served me, my friend, her toddler and infant this evening. Service was 10/10. Food arrived within 15 minutes, drinks in 2. He even look the time to play ball with the toddler. Service is always with a smile here and we love our visits.

Dear [Restaurant Management], I have been a loyal patron of the Horn of Plenty for the past 20 years, making it a tradition to dine at your establishment during my annual October visit to Cornwall. I have always cherished my experiences, which have consistently been a highlight of my trips. However, my recent visit in 2024 left me disappointed and saddened. Firstly, the new decor, with its dull and somber wall colors, lacks the warmth and elegance that I used to associate with the restaurant. The ambiance now feels flat and uninviting, which is a stark contrast to the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere I’ve enjoyed in the past. Secondly, the quality of service has noticeably declined. Staff seemed inattentive, and the overall service felt lackluster compared to previous years. I’ve come to expect a high level of hospitality, and unfortunately, that standard was not met. Regarding the menu, I was surprised by the limited options available. As a long-time guest, I have always appreciated the variety and creativity of your offerings. This year, however, I found myself having to order two chicken-based dishes for both my starter and main, as the fish option was underwhelming and did not meet the quality I’ve come to expect. The flavors were not as memorable, and it felt as though the culinary experience had taken a step back. Furthermore, the prices do not seem justified given the reduced quality and variety. It is disheartening to say that I will not be returning, as the Horn of Plenty no longer feels like the special place it once was. I hope you take this feedback constructively, as it comes from someone who has truly valued your establishment over the years. Very nice house with a very varied and interesting display of fans with a lot of information on the subject.

Me and the Mr popped in for a post sea-swim breakfast and ssooo glad we did. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Food was good quality, very tasty, and well presented. My tea came in a non-leaky pot, and was hot and fresh. Bacon was crispy, eggs were a rich yellow colour, and well seasoned. Carrot cake was moist and the frosting was lush! Will definitely be back. Fanflippintastic! Excellent quality & proper value for money! At £9.95 all in!! Just shows that anywhere that charges above £10 for a top notch breakie including a huge pot of tea is taking the p*ss!

What’s not to love about this wonderful cafe overlooking Widemouth beach. It’s so good we visited for a yummy breakfast (especially the breakfast stack) every day of our trip. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the service efficient and food quality high, with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices it’s a must visit. It’s also dog friendly. With seating inside and out and plenty of paid for parking on site.

Have eaten here many times and it remains one of my favourite restaurants in Northampton. Staff are always very friendly and attentive. Love the range and quality of food. Their onion bhaji scotch egg is a stand-out dish!

Great food and amazing staff! Had a few drinks at the weekend and the restaurant is very easy going and relaxed, exactly what I look for in a pub.

Not good, Firstly the was a cat sat at our table. When we arrived.. apparently it wonders in when it feels like. Had 2 normal and 1 veggie breakfast.. very small. It was cold. Wrong bread on every plate.. wasn't asked if we enjoyed or if every thing was OK with our meals. Veggie sausage is actually veggies not meat substitute which in my opinion does not go with breakfast items. Very thin slice of halloumi.. wasn't worth putting on the plate. My tea and coffee went cold as lady forgot to bring my oat milk. Feel robbed of our hard earned money. Have been here in the past and it was lovely but unfortunately will not go again.

What an excellent choice of meals, starters and main courses and a specific lunch menu too!! 5 of us all had different meals and a pudding each as well. Everything was perfect. Good value for money too. The pub has been decorated and furnished well - tables not too close together. And the staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Probably one of the best pub lunches we've had for years.

Loved this place but unfortunately it has closed down , the food was always delicious and very reasonable
