I would like to have written a positive review but having both called and emailed to enquire if they have wheelchair access and an accessible toilet I have had no response and will book elsewhere. I can only assume that they do not or they do not want my custom. Very poor.

Came across this place by accident and was a very fortunate find. Scrummy breakfast, very generous portion of high quality produce, coffee served in large cups. Selection of cooked breakfasts, filled baps and omelettes. The lunch menu looked equally tasty. Lovely farmshop selling variety of foods and gifts.

Took my granddaughter out for lunch today to Cottage Kitchen Cafe, she has to have GF food and is also vegetarian, so not easy. We both had a lovely meal, served by a very pleasant waitress, all the staff were very helpful, an altogether very pleasant experience, thank you, Cottage Kitchen, we'll definitely come again. X

We popped into The Bull for a lunch time drink with the anticipation of having lunch as the board outside sounded good. We ordered a medium Pinot Blush and a pint of Moriate ...We are not skin flints by any imagination...but I had to question how these drinks came to £16.35? When the average price for these drinks in surrounding areas are £14.00 and that's a large wine not a medium. I know times hard but something is wrong here.

This used to be the best fish n chips shop by far and I used to travel from Bromley. Tonight on my return home without my knowledge I had been given French fries instead of traditional chips that used to be served/ not sure if this is a one off due to supplier issues or if this is something new that has been introduced without telling their long standing customers- I for one will not be returning.

Living not far away, we decided to try a winter lunch in a new (for us) Dorset pub. Arriving at 12:20 on a Wednesday, we learned that it was “Pie Day” at the Sailor’s Return. The staff were welcoming and showed us to our table for two situated in one of the half dozen or so smaller areas within the length of the building. The food, which came in about 20 minutes, was hot and was accompanied by a drink which was included in the £17 pp Pie price. The chilled room (we sat in our coats) was warmed by convivial conversation with two other couples seated nearby while we all waited for the food. We were very impressed that, unusually for these days , no Service Charge had automatically been added to the bill. We left a small tip but did not feel obliged to do so which we feel is so much better.

Stopped by for some lunch, wow what yummy food. The starters were huge! With a lovely salad, probably too big to be honest but how often would you say that! My husband had a steak and ale pie and I had the chicken Kiev I wasn’t sure at the start with the tiny onions in the sauce but I soon changed my mind when I tasted it. Lovely fresh yummy vegetables too. Would definitely recommend to my sister who lives in the area.
