The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Went for lunch. Not the best meal I've had there by a long way but better than some of the other people in the party. Children and Dogs running about. We will not return in a hurry.

Sadly, I'm having to change my review of one of the best bars in Leeds. It's not the same anymore - The lack of character that Arcadia used to have, the real ales on the pumps/taps have been replaced by generic beers you can get anywhere else (I don't want Cruzcampo or Guinness), no more selection of bottles in the two fridges by the bar. No doubt the staff are friendly and helpful and I get why Market Town Taverns decided to move forward with this change but Arcadia is no longer somewhere I rush to get to after work on a Friday. Original review: My local. Always a great atmosphere and the selection of beers, gins and other drinks is phenomenal. I recommend coming here with the intention to relax after a long week at work.

Class place and lovely food and a pint

Fabulous place to stay, central with parking, super cosy, great atmosphere, lovely staff and great food. Rooms were lovely and clean and the beds were comfy. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay again.

Always a fan of the Triton. Nice to see they have made some lovely improvements to the garden at the front of the pub. Looks very smart. I have many lovely visits, but my last not so good. Ordered an Almond Milk Latte. Arrived curdled. Waitress placed the coffee down and couldn't get away quick enough... It quickly become apparent why. I politely called her over after realising it was no good. She expressed that it was hard to get right with Almond milk. I understand this, but the milk had definitely turned. And as someone who has made coffee professionally for the past 10 years i do know it is possible, with a little bit more care and attention and if not... then by someone who is more confident frothing the milk. Anyways i requested something else, but as i was trying to tell her what... she was walking away from me? It was very awkward... I said i am trying to tell you what I would like instead but you are walking away from me? It was very strange behaviour. I needed her to listen properly because i have dietary requirements that could be fatal for me if not heard. She was just really not that pleasant. And tbh rude and blunt. The drink was replaced. But with no pleasantries. The food as always was lovely. We order triple cooked chips, which arrived on a metal basket that was placed on the table. But would definitely have benefited from a plate. Strange presentation. But other than that v tasty. Will come again, and ordinarily have a lovely time. But not so much on this occasion, as we were just made to feel uncomfortable by a waitress with an attitude that was not welcome.

What a great place , food was very nice and the French fries mmm , and what nice staff , def go again , was driving but would have loved a pint

Brilliant, absolute value for money, excellent atmosphere and good people

Another great visit to the Red Kite, for us it’s the best part of a two hour round trip but thankfully we’ve been enough times to know it’s reliably good. The food is great, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable and the service is always spot on, this time we were served by Emily who was simply brilliant. We’ll be back again very soon.

Visited twice on a stay in the area. Sat in the restaurant. Spoilt for choice with such a wonderful menu. Food was great - fish and chips and chilli prawns highly recommended. Service was excellent.

Typical pub fare. The menu is exactly the same as the menu of the Dickens Pub near Paddington station, London.

Mi mamá y yo visitamos Kennedys ayer y no vamos a regresar. Vinimos a tomar un bocado ligero y unas copas. Pedimos la ensalada feta e higo que estaba deliciosa y los nachos sin jalapeños. Desafortunadamente, el primer lote de nachos estaban completamente pegados en el papel a prueba de grasa y en realidad no pudimos comer ninguno de ellos y tuvimos que enviarlos de vuelta - no hay problemas, es lo que es. Cuando regresan con un conjunto fresco de nachos, estaban cubiertos de jalapeños - a los que soy alérgico. No dijo ningún problema y se fue. Él regresó, pero teníamos una sospecha inmediata de que simplemente los había recogido y teníamos toda la razón! Cuando empecé a levantar los nachos encontré 5 jalapeños, prueba de que no estaban frescos y que los había quitado. Afortunadamente no tuve una reacción al tocarlos, ¡pero gracias a Dios no comí ninguno por accidente! Nos quejamos y se quitaron de la factura y obtuvimos un pequeño descuento, pero eso para mí no tiene sentido. Esto podría haber sido un problema extremadamente grave y su total negligencia fue impactante. Incluso le había dicho al tipo cuando los enviamos de vuelta por segunda vez que no puedo comerlos. Simplemente no podría confiar en este lugar de nuevo si su práctica es sentarse y recoger trozos de comidas de la gente en lugar de hacer lo correcto y hacerlo fresco para evitar la contaminación. Muy, muy mala práctica y un tema que no creo que se tomaran muy en serio. Qué pena.

Everything about the hotel is great….. location especially

I just wanted to commend miller and carter for their customer service today. I ordered a fillet mingnon as the menu recommends- rare. I'm not one to ever send food back, but when I received it, i found it far too rare, more like a blue steak which I personally would not have enjoyed. I politely asked if it could be seared a bit more. They were happy to help and took it away and replaced the entire meal with a perfectly cooked steak which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was not my intention or expectation for them to replace my meal, but it very gratefully received. Thank you.

Good food, fairly quick to serve

No peas and the curry sauce had leaked from the container which burnt my hand. Disappointed in the mess and having to run my hand under the cold tap for several minutes. The food was tasty and hot.
