Staff very welcoming and friendly visited greenman before meals always so nice but went Friday 1st November a new menu we had fish & chips half a fish teaspoon of peas we were disappointed

Sadly has changed quite a lot since I was last there. Very disappointed.

We had the roast dinner and it did not taste good. Potatoes are frozen and pigs and blankets were very very overdone. And for £15 very expensive for the quality. Service was good.

Visited for a meal with friends. The bar staff were very polite and made us feel very welcome. Especially Ellie who served us our lovely food and drinks. We will definitely be returning.

me and my partner came for a lunch meal, i had a baguette and my partner had a steak, was cooked perfectly, lovley. staff very helpful and polite. would recommend

Nice atmosphere and great selection of beers! Did order food on this visit, however looked and smelt delicious! Will certainly visit again soon.

The food was good, we eat here quite a few times a year. The menu has changed of resent, but if you are looking for a deasent pub grub menu ,you can't go wrong. The staff are very friendly and will go the extra mile.

Really disappointing experience today. Ordered food, waited nearly an hour. Chased it only to be told that there was no record of the order - told this from the member of staff who actually took my order! So we left without our food, and zero apology. To be honest I think we dodged a bullet anyway. Since heard that the food is mediocre at best. The atmosphere was not at all relaxing either, kids running riot everywhere. Chaotic pub and staff that clearly aren’t paying attention. Never ever again. We went to the Pig and Whistle instead, only a few mins away in Healing - fabulous experience and food there!

This has recently been taken over by a new brewery and the menu has been updated. Efficient friendly staff, and food made to order was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Been here a couple of times on the way to watch Bradford City play Grimsby Town the place has gone downhill since my last visit an over 40 minute wait for food is an absolute joke

We would like to thank all the staff at The Greenman who made our visit very memorable, the food was excellent, the service from Danny,Jenna, Elliott and Sam was superb. 10/10 guys.

Average. This pub as gone up and down so much over the years. Had the BBQ chicken, no BBQ sauce on it. Had to chase the sides we'd ordered. Just average.

Great place to have a drink or to eat

Great for a drink dog and child friendly too but food is very poor . went mid week I had a mega mixed grill and the meats wasn't too great and the one sausage I got looked like it was cooked for breakfast or even the day before and the mrs had chicken tika and she also said it was poor , hardly any chicken and came incomplete because they'd ran out of something but didn't tell us until it got to the table and we questioned it . would return for drinks but certainly wouldn't eat there again which is a shame because its a lovely place

Having visited The Green Man pub for over 2 years it was always my favourite Sunday lunch but the last time i visited everything had changed. No-one informed us that it was no longer waitress service so after being directed to our table we waited. After 10 minutes I asked a young boy taking food to a table if we could order our lunch to be told that we have to go to the bar. We ordered at the bar and waited 1 hour before we received an extremely disappointing lunch. The turkey was crispy and dry, the mashed potato didn't look fresh and was a grey colour, the roast potatoes were difficult to cut, the vegetables were not fresh and there was only a small amount of gravy. Also the waitress had to get us some cutlery as she had forgotten. I couldn't eat most of it as was hard and tasteless. In the past the presentation was superb and everything was fresh, so needless to say we will not be visiting again.

Food was nice when it finally arrived. Over a 2 hour wait for some food. The staff working the bar were incredibly polite. Due to no fault of the ladies working the bar, it was only the speed of the food was terrible

Excellent food. Great menu options. Good beer. Decent feel to the place too. Beer garden looks like it'll be fun if we ever get a sunny summer here in England-shire.

Dinner with the kids today, Fab service and lovely food.

Had a lovely lunch whilst enjoying the sunshine in the huge beer garden. Play area for the kids which was nice. We had the lunch offer which comes with a drink, the portions were massive and really good for the price. Staff were friendly and every where was clean and tidy. Water station for the dogs too and treats so will be sure to bring them with us next time we visit.

First time back for a while. Not overly impressed. Overpriced food which is average at best. I won't bother eating here again.

Was very disappointed . Last visit was New Years Day which was lovely, served food and drink at our table. We saw a sign when we arrived stating that you now ordered at the bar which is fine. There were a few people in the restaurant we wasn't informed by the barman who took our order that there would be a wait for food. 40 minutes we waited for our starter which was a sharing platter they didn't bring any plates for us to eat off we had to ask. When I asked if we could have some knives and forks I was barked at by a very rude waitress who told me they are over there get your own. Even the couple on the next table commented on her attitude and said to me that told you. The same waitress was also arguing with other table of diners I have no idea why. Our evening was spoilt by rude very unprofessional staff.

Quiet lunch in a quiet town. Fish and chips. Chips seemed a bit stale but edible. Recommended by a local as an alternative to buying lunch in a distant store... Comfortable place nice garden

Lovely pub, great staff and great facilities. Looking a bit tired and could do with a really good clean and tidy up in places. Food is general pub fair but basic and not much above decent cafe standards. Table of 4 on a quiet Saturday and the meals came out in pairs with 20 minutes between, 2 couples ended up eating separately

After visiting the Green Man for my daughter’s Birthday l have mixed feelings ….the staff were polite, helpful and professional…however the meals they brought out to us were disappointing. I had lasagne and it was swimming in liquid which put me off…the chicken and cheese melt had a slice of Kraft cheese on it…l was expecting better and the chicken nuggets for the children were so spicy they didn’t get eaten… Would l go again? No not for the price l paid other pubs are much better.

Not the most inspiring menu, but was tasty what we we ordered. Chicken & Bacon salad came without bacon, but with the addition of unadvertised cucumber which I can't stand and wouldn't have ordered if I knew it was there.

Food was excellent, even adapted a meal for my fussy daughter lol!

Went in while car was charging, fully booked but staff went out of there way and sorted a single table out for us to have our meal, would highly recommend & food was amazing, especially the lamb shank.

A little pricey,good food. The menu is not huge. Great place for nice weather. Kids are welcome.

Was here in March, very disappointing, gave it the benefit of the doubt in case it was a one off. Well it has changed but not for the better, in fact if anything it's worse. We were a party of four couples, youngest 76 eldest 85 , aware that we now have to order and pay at the bar the person who booked, who is 82, came prepared with pen and paper, wrote down the order and went off to the bar, quite a while later we saw him struggling back with 8 drinks crammed on a tray, NO HELP!? We should have walked out then but we carried on. The food wasn't too bad but not the choice of years gone by. Some of the staff looked quite scruffy,( t shirts with slogans unkempt trousers.) We have enjoyed good times at 'Green Man' over the last few years but I'm afraid we'll be enjoying ourselves elsewhere for a while. Regards Stuart Watson.

Called in for a drink with a friend. Pub nice enough and service ok but £13.85 for a small (125ml) and a regular (175ml) wine! Which wasn't even nice. Won't be returning.

Food was hot and tasty. Only issue is with drinks. We bought one at the bar when we arrived. Then when our meals arrived my friend asked for a 2nd drink. The young man serving said if we wanted any more drinks we had to go to the bar. We had just received our food and did not want to leave it to go to the bar especially when there were 3 bar staff just standing talking. Not sure if there is a reason for this?

Me and my partner were here again for a few drinks just recently and I must say, we had such a lovely time! The pub was really clean and tidy, and the atmosphere was super friendly. I got chatting to a member of staff when I was ordering and it turns out she was the manager- she was so lovely and down to earth and made us both feel at home! This pub is such a staple and does so much for the local community, it's a true gem.

Cannot fault the team and manager, friendly and helpful. The food was lush, hot and tasty, we will be back, thank you all!

Good place to eat. Steak and venison was very good. Sadly you can't run a tab, so you have to pay every time you order anything.

We went as a foursome 3 weeks ago on a Monday 7 ish ( not very busy 4 x tables taken) and thought food excellent and thakfully served HOT as when we have been other times its barely warm served on cold plates. Staff attentive & Warm smiley faces great personality. Had Burger meal. Scampi meal. Lamb Shank meal and Gammon meal plus 3 x Apple & Salty Caramel Crumble..it was a Quiz night too we unfortunately didn't participate but would another time..

Lovely meal for mine and my dad's birthday, 8 of us all enjoyed our meals. Staff were very accomodating definitely return and would recommend for family gatherings.

Lovely pub but some of the staff aren’t very friendly. Needs some work in the men’s toilets, not hygienic. The menu could be improved, it has been changed but not enough choice.

The food is nice enough. The surroundings are nice. The customer service needs some work. Not sure if the man that served us was new but he needs to work on doing what he can to make customers happy. I paid for a kids meal deal which included a dessert but because I hadn't specified the dessert at the till he said I needed to pay for it. A scoop of ice cream for a toddler. If already paid for it when buying the meal deal. Anyway, another member of staff sorted it with no issues but then the man came back to engage in what seemed to be an exercise is proving he was right! I didn't care who was right. We'd just spent over £50 on average food and just wanted a scoop of ice cream for my toddler. A few customer service skills needed here!

Had my mum's 92nd birthday here 22 of us, i ordered meals in advance, can't thank the staff enough very efficient, all of the meals brought out together and everyone enjoyed them and the evening . They brought out the cakes singing happy birthday Can't thank them enough.mum said she really enjoyed it.

A couple of the dishes were ok (mushrooms on brochette was tasty) but the rest was poor quality and even the salad had four missing ingredients. "Slow roasted tomatoes" in the salad turned out to be sun-dried tomatoes from a jar. I complained and was told the missing items were not available. Fair enough but I should have been told that on ordering or when it arrived. I asked waiter to remove it. Didn't order a replacement because I would have been waiting yet again and didn't have time to spare

A little high on prices for a pub in the middle of sticks. The only thing let this place down, was the menu. What a waste of time that was, as very low choices. The lack of choice through out the menu as bad. Have a look at the photo and you shall see what I mean. Even anther member when I asked say the menu was very poor. But apart from that the place seemed clean and parking too.

Absolutely lovely place! Great food, kind staff that 😃 smile. Clean, easy to access parking, and a play area outside for the kids in the summer. Dog friendly from what I could see as well, but I'm not sure if that includes the restaurant bit.

Been here for a couple of lunches on a Sunday. Staff are really friendly and accommodating, food has been good both times. My only con would be it was quite cold as the radiator next to us wasn't working. Though the place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Will come back here again to try the outdoor seating in summer as it looks like a good set up for warmer weather outside!

Had chicken pie my partner had lasagna , the pie was the smallest I’ve ever had, came with sliver of carrot,parsnip and one piece of broccoli, no gravy or potato, lasagna was runny and tasteless, we had to have a toast as we were both hungry when we got home, £60 wasted

Absolutely great staff team, always make you feel welcome, including your furry four legged friends. Clean and amazing food. And according to may partner you can tell they clean the lines regularly. Also my dog thinks the blankets and treats available are a lovely touch. I personally love the food and dessert menu all served with pride. I have been using this pub 19 years and it has never faltered

Nice country pub with really nice food and good service. The Green Man has become our go to for staff meals. The food is of a high quality and well priced.

Not for me, it did not feel warm and welcoming Used to go once or twice weekly many years ago, was in the area again so called in, disappointed won't be going back

Had lunch out with my wife before I returned to work next week, We were greeted with a friendly and welcoming reception from the staff, the drinks were very good from a well stocked bar, We both opted for the fish and chips with of course the obligatory mushy peas The food was served in a very timely manner and was very tasty, we both wanted a desert before the main meal was served but such was the amount of food on our plates we were not able to make room for it Excellent service and hospitality

What a super friendly New Years Eve night. The singer was on all night and celebrated the New Year with some great songs. Thanks to all the Green Man family, from the staff to the people who made a special night even better.

Went with partner for Xmas day lunch costing £70 per person, We were very disappointed with what we were given, ie Steak tasted of water like it was still thawing and the roast potatoes were so undercooked that they were hard and unpleasant to eat My partner meal (herbed cod) was very small, and was accompanied by a few small potatoes one carrot and a few green beans, the starters and sweets were ok as was the service, but £140 for two persons in their eighties it was more than a bit of a steal

Working in Immingham for 3 days recently and found this place via the wonders of Google earth, what a cracking place, pub, lounge and restaurant all in one, great beers, awesome food and a great vibe, owners and staff were fantastic. Would I go again? Yes definitely! Go see for yourself!

Had our Christmas meal out at the Green Man and was terribly disappointed. The service was very slow Some of the food was cold They forgot a pudding But the biggest issue was the deafening music which they refused to turn down. So our group couldn't socialise and chat which was the point of the outing - you couldn't hear a word anybody said. Sadly will not be returning.

I attended the Green Man the evening of the 16th December as part of a group. When booking, confirming and paying the deposit, 3 occasions, never were we advised there would be a singer in the middle of the restaurant. It was awful and totally ruined an evening for many people. The service was appallingly slow, the food tepid at best. We just couldn’t wait to leave. There is not one positive I can give and the manager and staff’s attitude was totally uncaring. That’s 12 people that will never go there again

Lovely food today and the team are so welcoming. The pub was clean and inviting. The second time we have visited now and on both occasions we had a great time.

Having been twice now its an OK place, both times its been really quiet. The food was lovely but there wasn't a great choice and it was quite expensive.

Lovely food, being really picky I dropped it a star as friends steak requested as "blue" and was more rare to med', and my medium/well was bit too medium for my liking but it was very nice. Nice little place, large outdoor with kids play area, plenty parking. Relaxing atmosphere

The food here is amazing! One of the best meals out I've had in ages. The staff very patient and helpful with the menu. Service was outstanding. Definitely be coming back!

Called in for the first time on 11/10/23 it was early evening, the staff were good the special of the day was scampi chips and peas, the scampi was soggy the peas were like cannon balls and the chips were extra large. Disappointed. Sorry Andy Brinson.

Traditional English pub with a gourmet twist. Lamb rump with cabbage? Nope, a savoy cabbage with slow roasted tomatoes in a cream sauce with a delicious tart note which I can't quite identify but which perfectly complements it. Chocolate Brownie (my pet hate)? No, not the sickly gloop of artificial chocolate flavouring but a morish confection with a crispy salted caramel topping. Add a decent selection of ales, a selection of alcohol free drinks and a mean g & t and a little playground for your younger guests and you have a tasty evening ahead

Seated and left to look at menu. Nothing mentioned about items not being available until we tried to order. Asked for a few minutes to re choose . A more senior member returned, we asked if anything else wasn't available and we were treated to a well rehearsed speech, delivered in the most condescending and passive aggressive manner I've ever encountered. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. No surprise we left without eating. Would not recommend this place .

We booked a table for 1900 hours, we were shown to our table and left to make our choice of meals. We were not told at any time what wasn't on the menu. We viewed the menu. A member of staff returned and asked for...

The second time I've been here recently. I've ordered the lamb rump steak both times and it's not been on. So ordered the monterrey burger. It was very disappointing. There were very few chips no side salad or anything on the side and left me...

Had a skinful on this unplanned visit, decent ale. What's not to like.

Really lovely place. Beer garden is great and play area is fab for the kids. Food is really well priced and nice too. Car charger in the car park is a bonus. Will be a lunch spot for future seaside visits as it’s not far from Cleethorpes.
