Good value Sunday Lunch with all the usual trimmings, Pork was good and a piece of crackling, 2 Yorkshire puddings, nice cauliflower cheese and swede mash, The rest was the usual veg you get with a Sunday lunch, Plates were hot which is a good sign, A very good sticky toffee pudding and custard, Toilet are very clean, 2 good guest Ales, bonus for us ale drinkers as we all don't drink Lager or cider, Return, definitely.

Visited after reading reviews and wasn’t disappointed, recommend booking. Food was very good and very satisfying, big portions, and very well presented, only had 2 courses but was full! Staff were amazing, very friendly and very attentive, gap between starters and mains was just right. Had the house specialty which was chicken Parmesan, it was a lot bigger than I thought but so tasty. Would say if you are in the area to go and visit. Also had a Buck Pale Ale, so nice, well had 4 pints of it so must have been nice.

We ended up here after googling ‘best parmos in the area’ - and we weren’t disappointed at all. The parmos are delicious, lovely thick chicken breast (not battered too thin as a lot of places do), a wide choice of toppings and just the right amount of bech and cheese. Garlic sauce (for an extra £1.50) was very garlicky and creamy. The only criticism is that salad is an extra £1.50- we ordered one each but were each given a bowl which was mainly huge chunks of tomato and red onion. Dessert was delicious, the sticky toffee pudding was melt in the mouth and the local ice cream was absolutely divine, it was almost like clotted cream. The pub itself is rustic and charming and in a lovely location next to the water. Service was friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Just had Sunday lunch omg the fight through dinner with the resident flies ruined it, food was mediocre roasties under cooked, the Yorkshire puddings where burnt on the top, I spoke to the manager about the fly situation and maybe a good idea to put blue lights up to attract the flys, to which she said they might fall on someone’s head really?

Parmo was nice. Its all about the breadcrumbs and sauce here. It just felt as if ownership being little greedy charging per topping if you want a traditional HotShot parmo and/or Garlic Sauce, ended up costing £6 additional which doesn't seem fair on customer. Jamies Hot sauce is just Sweet chilli sauce charged at £1.50, again bit of a rip off.

This is an attractive pub near the Bickling NT property. The menu for lunch (and dinner) was extensive and interesting. Lots of local fish and shell fish, venison and lamb. We had the Cromer crab Thermidor, served with samphire, thrice cooked chips, watercress and dried tomato salad and homemade dill hollondaise sauce. Absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented and filling. No room for puddings, although they looked equally amazing. Several real ales. Good wine list.

The food was beautiful 3 parmos and a steak pie, the parmos were succulent and tasty, the steak pie melted in the mouth. The service however was truly appalling. A wait of around 15 min before the menus arrived even though we had told the staff we were there, a reasonable wait for drinks and food, but at no point did any of the staff come and ask if our food was ok, nor did anyone come back to see if we wanted more drinks. It took 40 mins to attract attention to the fact that we'd finished our food, the waitress cleared only part of the plates, dropped a fork which she left on the floor and didn't come back to see if we needed anything else. Another 15 minutes later we decided to go to her, she was drinking coke and playing on her phone when we finally found her. Another 15 mins before the desert menu arrived, (kicking the dropped fork on the way) and the rest of the main course dishes were finally cleared to make room. As for the bill, lucky we're honest people, it never arrived, we had to go and find the waitress again in order to pay. If the place had been rammed and the staff run off their feet fair enough, but there were 4 of us and 1 other couple eating and 2 couples having drinks. Hardly busy. the food is really lovely but the staff and the service left so much to be desired. Think it's going to be a while before we go back, hopefully by then the staff will have either been changed or have been shown how to run food service.

So as it's valentines day we decided 2 go 4 a( nice )meal my meal was a pork parmo .. well it was so burnt & well done I couldn't even get my knife through it..never seen anything like it . So sent it back so my husband had 2 sit & eat his meal y I just sat there waiting 4 mine by the time mine came he had finished his so I didn't eat mine as I had lost my appetite & the nice meal was ruined..my husband is now back in work tonight so iam not happy at all ..the girl serving us was very polite & apologised. It wasn't down 2 her ..but like I said our few hrs together was ruined..I wish I had taken photos as u just wouldn't imagine how bad it was . Don't think we will ever go back there which is a shame as we just often. I can't believe they even sent it out . Think there thought by covering it in cheese will hard it . Stopped on our way home from a shopping trip. Just picked it off Google by looking at the reviews. My son had a "Parmo" which he enjoyed and we both had "steak pie". Normally I like shortcut pastry but it had good reviews. It actually came in a large dish like a stew with something like a puff pastry Croissant on top. Whilst a bit unusual the meat was beautiful and tender with a lovely Gravy, very tasty. It came with accompanying vegetables and chips or mash, we both really enjoyed it. I would eat the same thing if I came again.

Been going there for years and always thought it was one of the best places to go for a parmo but after my last visit I don't think I'll be back again. First off they got my order wrong so I had to wait and eat alone for my food everyone else had finished theirs and also the portion sizes are a lot smaller than they used to be, but the biggest disappointed was the fact you have to pay extra for a salad and garlic sauce!!! We paid £10 extra in total for something where 99% of places it comes free, to use the excuse that some people leave the salad doesn't justify charging them who want a salad extra. What next napkins 10p a pop? Such a shame it used to be a great place, the food is nice and staff are friendly but I'm not paying an extra £3 per person for a salad and garlic sauce.

We arrived early and were seated in a little side room to the front. I chose from the specials selection, Chicken & King Prawn spaghetti in a pesto, sunblush tomato & cream sauce. Was very well cooked and tasted flavoursome. I couldn't finish it all, and felt too much pasta really. My partner ordered the Chicken ala Buck which was also very nice. We would recommend both dishes. I also had the garlic bread, but with added pizza tomato sauce, it was a lovely dish. Only other slight bugbear was the fact we had quite a few flies buzzing around us throughout the meal. They could do with trying to clear them out more. Staff seemed efficient and came across friendly. Great that it is such a dog friendly place. Maybe add a few dog treats on the bar. Couldn't see any.

We stopped here for lunch and as it was busy outside, we decided to take a table inside. The decor was fine if a bit dated, and it was in need of a bit of a clean to remove all the cobwebs from the inside of the windows. We didn’t get off to a great start as the waitress was so sullen and it was as if we were spoiling her “chat time” with the other wait staff by coming into the pub. And she was the same any time we interacted throughout the meal. The food was standard pub fare and not all that well cooked either. The drinks were fine and it was about right for value. Been visiting The Buck for years and have always loved the thin parmo’s but after visiting today a lot has changed, firstly you have to pay £1.50 for the side salad which all three of us ordered, it came out in a very small bowl which I thought we would have got three of the bowls but we didn’t!!! Secondly the chicken parmo’s have always been thin but today the chicken was thick which wasn’t very nice. Three of us visited but the table next to us had only two people and they had the same amount of chips and salad which we received . I was very disappointed and sadly won’t be revisiting 😞 not worth the price.

This was something new to both of us so we have nothing to compare it to. However it just tasted greasy, dry, chewy, over cooked (probably reheated) pork (I think) and tasteless cheese. Reserved a table online for a small family reunion. Clearly a popular spot and there were a lot of people milling around outside and drinking outside the pubs on the main street. Service inside was good and there was a good choice of food which was very tasty. Sadly there was a large group of well watered men booked onto the table next to us, in the area by the bar, which completely spoilt the last half of our meal as we simply couldn't hear each other talking. It was a real shame that staff didn't consider putting us in the other part of the restaurant where there were several empty tables all evening, or relocating us for the last part of our meal when it would have been obvious we could no longer converse or hear. .... this would have made all the difference. (It would have been awkward having to ask to be moved ... but care from front of house staff could have carefully relocated us.)

Sunday lunch was fantastic and a fabulous price. Made to feel welcome and will definitely be going back.

Food was tasty. However the crusted cod ordered by 2 of our party was served with a very meagre amount of tiny pieces of crispy potatoes. It was like 3 chips chopped up. I pointed this out to the girl serving as it was more like a starter. She took it back to the kitchen and quickly returned to say chef was making some more. I had to laugh and I think even the serving girl was embarrassed when she brought me a tiny bowl you’d normally get mayo/ketchup in with another very meagre portion of potato pieces! Also it was meant to be served with creamed leeks and there must have been a leek shortage too! Saying that the other 2 party members had significantly larger portions, a gammon and a sizzler. When the plates were cleared I also informed the guy of the issue with the potatoes served with the cod. He asked the other person if hers was the same and she had said she wasn’t bothered by the small portion, she does not have much appetite and often has a starter instead of main. It’s a shame I came home hungry and I’m not a big eater myself. I’d consider going again but if you’re hungry give the crusted cod a miss! Edit 22/10/24. The owner rang me last week to discuss and apologise. He told me he would be speaking to the manager and would get back to me.

This is the worse I've ever seen in a jd Wetherspoons nearly every table littered with old dirty plates bar full of glasses to wash and 30 mins wait on food only 2 on bar definitely not recommend
