The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Walked for 3 miles to visit for a drink and food. Arrived at 12.20 on a Sunday (opens at 12) and not a soul in sight. The whole place was closed and we couldn't find any information online as to why. There was a large group of others waiting to get in who also didn't understand. Tried to phone and nobody answered.

Professional. Presentable. Affordable.

Had a lovely meal here tonight. Following lockdown it felt perfectly safe and good procedures were in place. A couple of minor mistakes with the food but Joe our waiter put those right promptly. All credit to the lad, he was really polite and attentive. Give the lad a rise.

Me encanta este pub local. Gran ambiente y ambiente. Puede estar muy ocupado a veces debido a que es un lugar acogedor. Sin embargo, cuando llegué con mis tres amigos a las 6 de la tarde un sábado por la noche, después de haber reservado una mesa, los bebedores de la tarde habían salido, así que había un par de mesas vacías. Dicho esto, el pub está ocupado durante la noche. La comida es increíble y he comido aquí un par de veces y nunca me decepcionó. Mis tres amigos tenían pescado con papas fritas en mi recomendación y no se sintieron decepcionados. Tuve lasaña que vino con patatas fritas caseras y pan de ajo queso. Estaba absolutamente delicioso y muy lleno. El León Rojo también almuerza los domingos, aunque todavía no hemos probado uno de ellos, pero sin duda lo haremos en un futuro cercano. Sin olvidar el maravilloso personal que es muy acogedor y amable.

Sam Smiths rules totally flouted. Lots of fing & blinding, mobile phones ringing & calls taken. Musty smell, lots of cigg smoke coming in from the front door. Couldn't wait to leave.

We where staying in Leeds for the night and after a disappointing visit to the ivy for dinner we popped here to end out evening and get a desert. The atmosphere was lovely and a beautiful building. The food was fantastic and the service second to non we will return if in the are again and stay for dinner for sure

+ Walton View Hotel looks nice from outside and inside. + Food was outsourced from my Lahore for Asian wedding was very tasty + The service was quick and reliable - The overflow parking should be surfaced and parking bays made clear - lighting is required in overflow parking areas - the location of the stage should be in such a place that it can be seen from every seat in the dining hall.

Always a nice treat. Definitely I never enjoyed the loud music they play as customers go out to engage with their friends or family and not to listen to music. Not sure why they have never understood this principle.

Don’t eat here, absolutely disgusting food and ended up been sick later on the night. Fish tasted weird never ever tasted fish like that before chips were hard, tasteless and just awful. Seating area is disgusting and unhygienic. Avoid this place

So myself and a old freind decided to pearls for a full English breakfast upon arrival of the food there was a nice slick of oil to every item :/ …..I believe the staff need to be more uplifted and passionate… anyways they provided margarine rather than the butter - once I requested for butter, it clearly shows that they don’t know the difference between margarine and butter as a margarine was provided once again despite the fact of my allergies to margarine. Overall, the food is very greasy- however the English breakfast tea is spectacular very full bodied

I've been here a few times, and food has been lovely each time - prices reasonable

Lovely food. Nice choice of meats, vegetables and potatoes. Plenty of condiments to garnish your food too. Nice family atmosphere. Good beer garden space. And courteous and helpful staff.
