The best restaurants serving British food in Filey Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Ordered a medium beef dinner, yorkshire pudding wrap, lemon cake and a apple crumble/custard. All were lovely! Fast service and good price for quality food. Would definitely come again and recommend x

Really love the Lighthouse café in Filey & always have lunch there when on holiday and will be back in Filey in May to enjoy it again!!! 😊 So if you want a lovely lunch and great service visit the Lighthouse tearoom it's Top!!!

This is a fabulous restaurant. We booked knowing that it was going to be excellent as we have visited once before a few years ago. It didn't disappoint. We sat outside with our small dog and child. The heaters were on but wasn't necessary as it was quite warm out and we had blankets in case it got cool. The food was perfect. Fantastic service from the team and they were lovely and attentive even though it was a busy night. Definitely would come back again when we are in the area.

Second time having breakfast at The Pines for me, third for my mum and brother with whom I come on holiday to lovely Filey. I can see how the local older folk love this little cafe but you don't have to be old to appreciate its charm or indeed a good, reasonably priced English breakfast. Malcolm is a great host with his cheeky banter!

Lovely breakfast here today, freshly cooked. Staff were really pleasant and brought the food over to the table. Would definitely recommend and return if we were in the area again

This is a great little cafe we had breakfast there and it was superb couldn't fault it I had bacon.2 sausages 2 fried eggs a tomato grilled and ,2 slices of toast you could also have baked beans and mushrooms but I don't like them. The staff were so friendly and nice all in all a great place. Would visit it again. Anne waller

Wow ! This chippy is amazing, haddock and chips and gravy, got to be the best I have ever had. Friendly staff, clean and the smell was just incredible. First time I have ever been as on holiday but I will definitely return.

We had an absolutely gorgeous sunday lunch, the turkey and the lamb was beautiful, and a great selection of vegetables accompanied the meal.we also had a lovely spring roll starter, will definitely be going back there.

What a great coffee shop, quite spacious inside. Fantastic drinking chocolate. We decided to have lunch here and were not disappointed, very nice! Frothies is definitely worth a visit!

Opening times laughable in the height of the season. At 945am still not ready to serve though they are supposed to open at 9. Stood at the counter for 5 mins and was deliberately ignored by two staff gossiping. Rather tarnished our view of Filey. Great though that the owners don't need the business.

After looking on line for a place to have afternoon tea we came across The White Lodge Hotel, made a booking via email. So a first visit and not the last. Lovely warm welcome from reception, had a few minutes relaxing in reception and used the conveniences which were immaculately clean. We were taken to our table located in the extension overlooking the amazing sea view. We were served by two lovely young, polite ladies. Sorry we didn't catch their names one was about to join our armed services and the other was going to university. The afternoon tea we had was one of the best we have ever experienced. The scones and strawberry cake were out of this world, it was apparent that all the ingredients were of the freshest, absolutely delicious and hence we couldn't move an inch afterwards ha ha. The best cappuccino coffee ever. Well worth the visit. Very highly recommend !!! Enjoy 😊 19 April 2025 We've just had our second stay/dinner and breakfast. Once again a fantastic stay. Cannot fault this Hotel. Dinner was superb, the best chicken that we have ever eaten, you could tell the ingredients/produce were fresh, lovely ambience and all of the staff including the restaurant manager were superbly attentive, polite and professional. Our sea view room was impeccably clean and bright, lovely modern bathroom with new white fluffy towels and super comfy bed with perfect crisp linens. In fact the hotel throughout is super clean. The breakfast was again made with the freshest ingredients and piping hot, super tasty honeys and just the best granola and fruits, we loved the offering of freshly prepared grapefruit. Loved our stay and look forward to a future one. Highly recommend !!. See you soon and thank you for a lovely stay once more. Denise & Justin x

On holiday and decided to call in for a drink at lunch time. Heard about the quiz later that night and they said they would save us a table. We turned up and had a brilliant night, all the staff we lovley and welcoming, as were the locals. Got a really good sense of community spirit from everyone. Would definitely call in again anytime.

Home cooked food in large portions maybe too large. Food was very expensive although some dishes you could share they are that big. Food is nice but didn't leave us wanting to return. Manager wasn't very nice to the waitress which wasn't nice to listen to.

Food alright, customer service not great. We were visiting the area from Wales and checked reviews prior to choosing Inghams- we had high hopes but unfortunately the food (sausage in batter, chips, curry sauce) was average at best and the person serving wasn’t friendly in the slightest.

We have been coming here for years. Usually very impressed but bread was not fresh today and it spoilt it. What a shame because it was otherwise very nice.
