Have been here quite a few times before and have sung it's praises for quality and service. With this in mind, we went with friends to celebrate a birthday. Sadly the White Lodge failed our expectations. The starters came, all were good as expected. We then had a wait of over an hour for our main courses (unacceptable). We noticed that people who arrived after us had been served, some actually preparing to leave after finishing their meal. We complained and was told that they were very busy in the kitchens. A poor excuse as it would have also affected the other diners. When the meal came, the Beef which had been excellent on previous occasions, was tough, and the chicken tasteless. When my wife complained about the beef, she was offered a steak knife. When the second round of drinks arrived my drink was missing. They seemed very busy so I went to the bar myself and queued to be served. As I was about to be served a staff member passed a drinks order from the resturant, over the bar and the bar staff started to fulfil the order. I then pointed out that I had been pushed down the serving list in the resturant and was not prepared to let it happen again. At this point, I was served. Viewing previous reviews, one diner noted that the staff were all young and not properly trained. This was also our view. This used to be a quality resturant, but standards have dropped and frankly not worth the price tag.

Visited twice during our stay local to Filey. Lunch on the terrace (shame not a better view but this did mean we were protected from the wind by the hedge - view is great from the inside dining room) - moules, the best scampi I’ve ever had, a ploughman’s with what we think was homemade pork pie (delicious) and drinks from the inside and outside bars. Children could skip through to the grassed area and the hotel is a short walk from the steps to the beach. No parking for non-residents however the hotel is a pleasant walk through the park from the South long stay car park.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. All the staff were lovely. Comfy bed and our room had a lovely sea view. Only drawbacks were not many plant based options on the the menu although the chef did try the only starter was a few slices of tomato for £9! The windows lacked blackout curtains so at 5 am it was as bright as anything. Also quite noisy as no soundproofing. But overall a lovely place to stay.

Me and my husband booked a garden facing view. We had a very disappointing experience for our stay here. We checked into our room, it had scaffolding in front of our window and a huge chimney pipe going from kitchen next to our window. So we couldn’t open our window because of the noise and had no view. Soending 200£ for a room is not worth it. As the white lodge hotel was not honest about the room. It should be mentioned while booking. And when we asked at the bell desk, they said you can go out in the town and come back 9:00 pm. So they were of no help. There was no solution or help form the hotel management. We would recommend to ask before booking the room, we don’t want anyone else to be unlucky as us or in this situation. We drove all the way from Newark on Trent hoping for a nice stay at the hotel but our weekend was disappointing because of the hotel.

The Beef Bourguignon and Filey Gin were truly exceptional, although everything I ate and drank was great - all fresh, high quality and the portions spot on. I had booked in advance for Sunday lunch for 9 and a dog. I did my research and found this location specifically, that is dog friendly, and explained on the phone that I had my dog and that we wanted to eat on the terrace to have Sunday lunch. It was a family occasion and we had all met and stayed together at a beautiful house for the weekend. After an amazing time in the beautiful Filey we walked to the White Lodge to end the weekend. We were told that dogs weren’t allowed on the terrace. I detailed the phone call that I had and said I had specifically told them I was bringing my dog. They accepted it was their mistake, apologised and offered to refund my deposit “as a gesture of goodwill” and have sandwiches outside, “if we could find a table”. I took the refund and expressed my disappointment, very politely. We had sandwiches in the garden for approx £120. Full price. No follow up. Terribly disappointing and poor customer service.

We both had the roast beef which was cooked to perfection. The yorkies were lovely, as were the veg. So why one star off? Other diners were offered more veg and gravy which we were not. On the whole we would dine here again. My wife did point out there were no sanitary bins in the ladies which is poor

We read a couple of reviews from June but chose to ignore them and thought let’s try this out for ourselves. Nicely balanced menu, catering for all tastes and Gluten free options. Ordered drinks and food from the bar. Hot drinks came out quickly. Nothing too much trouble when asking for chocolate sprinkles for a latte and a round of water. The food came out quick and wow it was amazing. The buda salad bowl was rammed with goodness and variety and delicious, what a dish. The scampi and veg burger were also delicious and good portions. The fish pie was fabulous and the Posh fish finger sandwich huge. No room for puddings, next time!!! Very happy we went thank you.

We came to this restaurant twice this week, firstly on Sunday for lunch, it was 20 minutes before we were asked what we would like to drink then we waited a whole hour for our main course, ridiculous! We were then invited by som friends to go on Wednesday night, my husband was hoping to have a nice steak, no they do not do a steak, so he had the pork belly, it was the smallest piece of belly we have ever seen, we asked for some bread to come before the starters, it came with the starters! It was cut at least 2 inches thick and came with 4 tiny pieces of butter, I had beef bouginion, there was 3 pieces of meat in it! Service is really slow and kids serving with no experience at all we told the young lad that brought the bread and starters that we had asked for the bread to come first and he just gave a childish chuckle!

My wife and I retuned last week having spent a three night stay at The White Lodge Filey. This was not our first stay at the hotel but the first for a few years. The hotel was good before but is now excellent. The location is second to none, we had a sea view room with balcony. The rooms are spotless, everything is perfect, we couldn’t find a fault. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the food exceptional. The bar and lounges spotlessly clean and tidy. The reception and general areas once again spotless. We have visited this restaurant a number of times. The food is good and the staff are very pleasant and helpful but the restaurant organisation has taken its eye off the ball. On this visit we watched others who arrived after us served long before us. They no longer seem to have a head waiter. At one point a waitress did apologise for the long wait but never explained what the problem was. Just poor organisation it would seem, even though there were only the usual number of tables set for dinner. On our previous visit a man in the 50 to 60 age range, whom we asumed was the owner, welcomed us into the lounge and took our drinks order. Nothing happened until a waitress asked us if we wanted to order drinks. We realised then that the man, who had taken our order, who was sitting having a great time with a group of guests, had completely lost the plo ,and our order !. It seems the problem is at the top in this restaurant. This restaurant could rival The Downcliffe House in Filey. At the present time , sadly it doesn't

We have visited the White Lodge on three occasions since the summer, having had the restaurant recommended to us by friends, and have to say it is now the best fine dining restaurant in Filey by far. The staff are so welcoming, warm and friendly. We are always made to feel like valued customers, and the staff always acknowledge us as returning guests. We are made to feel like our custom is very much appreciated. Unlike a rival restaurant on the seafront, they have social distancing down to a fine art.The redesigned decor is extremely tasteful and classy. The menu changes on a regular basis and the food is of an exceptional quality. Fish from the local fishmongers regularly appears on the menu.Special mention needs to be made to two members of the team. Mark, the front of house, always greets us with a warm welcome. His knowledge of the food and wine is first rate and he even shared information about new wines soon to appear on the menu. Also special thanks to Ampario who always greets us with a warm and friendly smile. Above all, it is a refreshing change to be served the most fantastic food and receive a warm and friendly service. We cannot wait to come back again. This restaurant should be number one on the trip advisor list. We cannot fault it.

Our party took advantage of the 25% food and drink discount being offered by the hotel as an extension to the recent government scheme. The menu on offer ranges from full lunch to lighter sandwiches. I had the crab sandwich and it was lovely with a decent side salad and some crisps with a side orderof rustic chips. I was pleased no end that they used butter on the bread and not margarine, it makes a huge difference in taste. The chips were fab, crispy and an unusual shape. I treated myself to the sticky toffee pudding which was stunning, although could gave done with a wee bit more ice cream with a pot of tea to follow. The dining room has huge windows with views of Filey bay. I could have sat there all day. Now I've been I'll happily be back even on my own!

Stayed for a 3 night stay in September 2020 with a friend. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the sea (room 3). The room decor was lovely and the bathroom a good size and nicely presented. Due to the pandemic restrictions our room was not cleaned during our stay and we did buy a cleaning cloth and spray for the bath and sink which I feel could have been provided. Having said that we did not ask for these to be provided at the time. There were plenty of gratis toiletries, drinks and biscuits. We could tell the hotel had been recently refurbished and this is to a very high standard. The atmosphere in the hotel was pleasant and relaxing especially given this was during the time of the pandemic restrictions. We had booked to eat in the hotel and were very glad we did as the standard of the food was excellent. My only comment would be that the menu was the same for every evening and whilst I understand the rationale behind this it would have been nice to have perhaps just had a 'specials' dish to ring the changes for people eating at the hotel over a few nights. Having said that, absolutely no complaints about the standard of food; it was all delicious.Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come back for another stay in the near future.

had more batter than haddock-and not exactly big portion either. When given the bill and I presented a debit card - even before I looked at the bill , was asked - "how much would you like me to put on it?" .......in other words "how much tip are you going to give me?" !!! by a smiling waitress.Caught off guard I quickly looked at the bill and rounded up and amount, but with hindsight I should've said - "just the amount of the bill!" but I wasn't expecting to be asked (or cornered) for a tip. It was just one course lunch and the dining room was empty...... We will not be going back. Not value for money or anything special. Also had to ask them to record our details for tracing - before we left.

We booked for a restaurant meal, whilst staying elsewhere in Filey. We had quite high expectations of White Lodge, not only from the reviews on here, but from their website. Sadly, we were disappointed. We sat in the bar lounge upon arrival, at a table full of crumbs from previous occupants. A young man, not wearing any COVID-19 visor, was bending, reaching across and clearing tables where people were seated. We were then seated in the restaurant, at a table very close to the adjacent one, which was subsequently occupied by six people. COVID-19 distancing was not being followed, certainly in our corner of the room. The view from the restaurant is stunning .... clear, beautiful sea views. The food wasn’t as good. Smoked salmon starter, full of unsightly brown edges that would have looked so much better trimmed before serving. Weird cut chips, that looked like they had been cut with an apple corer. Steaks that were passable, but not great, and service that was really, really slow.White Lodge could be something fantastic, if it got it’s act together. It is expensive, both to stay there and to eat there. Regrettably, it is relying on its fabulous location a bit too much.

We have just returned from an excellent three night stay at the White Lodge hotel. We chose the hotel after seeing it reviewed in a national newspaper.Thankfully Filey was largely unaffected by storm Dennis. The hotel is superbly located with panoramic views over Filey Bay. It is immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. It has a pleasant bar area and a comfortable lounge with two log fires burning. We paid the extra premium for a sea view room with balcony and were not disappointed. Like the rest of the hotel the room was very clean and well furnished. We breakfasted and dined each day in the restaurant including Sunday lunch. All our meals were perfectly cooked and well presented as well as being delivered in a timely manner. The portions were a good size and where breakfast was concerned you only had to ask if you wanted more.On our arrival we had sandwiches in the lounge which were very good.We found all the staff (owner included) to be polite, friendly and customer orientated. Nothing was too much trouble.Hopefully the set menu changes because although initially there is sufficient choice after a few nights it is repetitive and a change would be appreciated.Filey is ideally suited for a quiet break. A lot of attention has been taken to keep everywhere clean and tidy with the gardens/lawns well manicured.Filey is also perfectly placed to visit the beautiful County of Yorkshire and the other nearby coastal resorts. The White Lodge Hotel and restaurant is now on our favourites list and we certainly will be looking to revisit later in the year.Thank you. This complimentary review is well deserved,

This review is based on a visit by my wife and I in October and a visit by my wife and a friend later that month. On a cold, windy and wet day, my wife and I sought refuge in the White Lodge Hotel. We were greeted with courtesy and warmth. Staff members were particularly helpful. We were made comfortable, served with freshly made coffee and crab sandwiches and made to feel 'at home'. Before we left we were allowed to look around the hotel and experience the ambience. The dining room overlooking the sea is exceptional; the furnishing, fittings and decor are outstanding. Shortly afterwards my wife visited the hotel with a friend who had never been inside the hotel. As previously, both were welcomed with warmth and grace. And we intend to become regular visitors.

After only choosing to read the reviews about the white lodge on the way over, after actually booking it, we arrived a little apprehensive but we we WRONG to be like this. This place is a tastefully decorated, clean, friendly establishment that can’t seem to do enough for you.We arrived on Friday at tea time to be welcomed by the standard British weather front of rain, we weren’t going to let this spoil our weekend. We had paid a little extra to ensure that we had a parking space at the hotel, upon arrival there were cars parked across 2 bays making it unable for us to actually use our allocated space, Ashley and Luke had no problems finding the owners and getting them to move their vehicle. This was just the start of the problem solving duos many helpful tasks, set to them.We decided to go into the bar and get a well earned beverage, after all, it was a horrific journey through horrid traffic and weather.Becks Vier was our tipple of choice, which to be honest we found to be on the expensive side at £4.50 a pint, but we were away so weren’t bothered. The hotel offers the option to charge things to your room and pay as you leave but we chose not for this option. After this we then went up to our rooms to change for the evening, I enquired about borrowing an iron and ironing board, Ashley then set about finding it and was happy to bring it to the room for us.We had booked into the restaurant for tea that evening and weren’t 100% sure what to expect, there is a “sample menu” in the room which is very similar to the main menu itself. We both opted for the Sirloin steak, one to be cooked medium and the other medium well. Both of the steaks were by far the best Sirloin we had eaten (and we like steaks) compliments to the Chef who we were informed was called Gary. They arrived at the same time and the staff throughout the evening were great, Kim behind the bar made us feel very comfortable despite some of the regulars in the bar questioning our choice to eat at the hotel. We had a couple more beers and grabbed our brolly to head out for the evening, Luke introduced us to the night porter/manager and explained to us how to get back into the hotel if we were back late.Needless to say we had a great evening out, so much so that we missed breakfast and the maids to make up our room as we didn’t leave it until 13:00hrs the next day. As we were leaving to head out for the afternoon all the staff said hello and acknowledged us being there, which is always a nice touch. The next Morning, Sunday we were first down for breakfast all the staff again were friendly and helpful explaining how breakfast was served, we sat down to beautiful views over Filey and enjoyed a lovely breakfast (only missing hash browns) Overall this was a beautiful hotel in an amazing location with friendly, helpful staff, thank you to all involved during our stay, we will definitely be coming back.

Blind Pugh must do the cleaning here - cobwebs in the wedding reception room. Alf Ippitittimus was tipping the champagne over horrified guests. Alfred the Great burnt the Yorkshires. The White Rabbit was late - AGAIN, serving food. The owner must think that time is a confidence trick, played by the Swiss in order to make you buy watches - according to him 11pm means 10.30pm and 10.24 really means 10.40. He then starts to scream at a small wedding party and accuses them of drunkenness, agression, and swearing - majority of party consisted of Drivers - not over the limit, children - not allowed to drink and pensioners (us)who have forgotten what to do once we've had a drink. All in all the Management team are not very nice people and I WONT be inviting them round to my house on Saturday for a nice cup of tea. The desert was good quality there was a good choice on both courses but i think £20 for two courses are a little on the high side looks like you pay a premium for the hotels position thats probably why it wasnt that busy when Filey on that day was buzzing with day trippers other local pubs and eateries were bursting at the seams maybe looking into your prices ??

This restaurant must have one of the best locations in Filey with extensive sea and bay views. The quality food and interesting menu resulted in two memorable evening meals/.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch, whilst enjoying wonderful sea views. My starter of mozzarella, pea purée, mint etc was just to my taste. This was followed by a delicious roast beef main course.

Had visited the bar of this hotel for a drink but hadn't previously eaten here. We visited as a group of 4 for dinner for my husbands birthday in Feb. We hadn't eaten here before but so glad we did. Food quality and service was excellent. A good standard menu but still plenty of choice and wine reasonably priced for such a nice venue. We will definately be visiting again. The hotel also has a lovely beer garden for when the weather is a little warmer.

My wife and went for Sunday lunch, upon arriving we were greeted at the bar by Omar, smashing chap, pulled a cracking pint of Timothy Taylors and an equally nice glass of 54' North. We both ordered the Roast Beef with the obligatory Yorkshire Pudding, (wouldn't be the same without) after having different starters. The food was lovely, one of those meals that you don't want to finish. We relaxed afterwards in the lounge, bay window seats, looking over towards the fabulous views of The Brigg. Thank you

When people talk about businesses going that extra mile to provide an excellent service you want to try them. I hope after reading this you will want to try the White Lodge. I have commented favourably in the past on the hotel this is about the restaurant, owners and staff. My wife, two close friends and me had booked for Christmas Dinner. My close friend suffers from Dementure and unfortunately he couldn't make it being bedbound. Our carers cancelled their cover at the last minute and I volunteered to stay with him to allow the two ladies to go for their Christmas dinner. You can imagine how wonderful it was when the staff at the White Lodge said they would do a take away for me and my friend to eat at home. We had starters of prawn cocktail and ham hock. Main course of Turkey with roast potatoes and roast vegetables, seasonal vegetables and gravy. Christmas Pudding to follow. The food was excellent and from being miserable at the thought of missing it to the pleasure of a lovely festive meal you can imagine my joy. I would like to thank Kim and James the owners and more importantly Ryan the chef and Ashleigh of the catering staff for their thoughtfulness. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I have visited White Lodge many times over the past 2 or 3 years, by myself for coffee, with friends and family for lunch (the crab sandwiches are the best I have tasted) and dinner, a themed evening and even a family function. The owners and staff are always helpful, friendly and courteous. The views are wonderful.

Our easy choice, and we detoured to enjoy it a second time. The hotel is welcoming, comfortable, spotless and even a minor glitch on the first visit had been put in place already. The restaurant was good for dinner, but variety of choices perhaps a little restricted. Breakfast was a joy to wake up to.

We visited with close friends for lunch. From walking through the door, we were greeted with a smile & total professionalism. Informing reception that we were there to meet friends for lunch, we were cheerily invited to take a seat in the lounge & study the menus. A smily waitress arrived to take our drinks orders but one of our party had gone into the bar to order.....before he could say anything, the barman stated our order [he had heard our choices as he passed our table!!]...now THAT is magical service!! We ordered from the menu & were shown into the airy & modern restaurant, to a lovely table overlooking the bay. Everything was spotlessly clean & sparkling, even the floral arrangement was sleek & modern....a sprig of sea holly in a clear posy vase filled with delicate seashells. The food was clearly freshly prepared & was well worth the wait .....beautifully presented & tasting perfect. The staff were friendly & efficient making our visit most enjoyable. Thankyou for making our day special....we will be back!

Booked a table for Sunday lunch on 15 July 2018. Restraunt super location overlooking Filey Bay. Had downloaded the menu (albeit a sample menun) this has not changedin the last 2 years and offers courses at so much for one ,two or three. Serloin is always offered. When given the menue the prices had risen by 20% and serloin had been replaced with Topside at £15.00per portion. A case where the website needs to be kept upto date with reality to avoid I'll feeling. Just Been on now prices have been changed and sirloin is back on but is it? Beter check before booking. Having said that the meal was very good as was the service.

We've stayed in Filey many times but have never been to the White Lodge for some reason. We went for Sunday lunch on 10/06/18 having heard good reviews recently from friends and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent as was the service. The restaurant was very clean and professionally presented. They've also made excellent use of the location near Glen Gardens with their large, spotless windows offering panoramic views of the sea. We shall certainly visit again when we're next in the area.

Place is tastefully decorated and maintained to a very high standard. Everywhere looks spotless. Menu is concise but well chosen and the food was beyond reproach. Due to the quality of the venue and food, I honestly expected the bill to be much more than it actually was, which was a pleasant surprise. Staff were attentive but not overbearingly so. In all, a very pleasant experience.

We met up with some friends and decided to have some drinks here and a light lunch. As it was Sunday, we were told they were only serving Sunday lunches until 2pm and then sandwiches. The time was 12 pm so we weren't prepared to wait two hours for a sandwich. We managed to persuade a member of staff to sell us a bowl of chips. We had a round of drinks of beer, wine etc which was all fine. On our second round, three of our group opted for peppermint tea, fruit tea and breakfast tea. First of all the order was forgotten and we had to go back to the bar to ask where the tea was and it was delivered quite quickly after that. The big problem was the quality of the tea bags - they were of such poor quality, we couldn't tell the difference between the three different types and had to taste them before we could decide which tea was which. I had the fruit tea and to be honest it looked like dishwater and tasted the same. If it hadn't been so hot, I would have left it. What a shame a lovely establishment like this is cutting corners with something as simple as tea bags!! On the plus side the location is spot on and the toilets were very clean.

We visited the restaurant after reading the reviews with our two daughters aged 6 and 2. On entering the hotel we were seated in a fabulous lounge area with a beautiful fire. It was so relaxing and we were made to feel really welcome, especially our children. We were taken into the restaurant which had a stunning view of the bay. The food we had was delicious and the portions were generous. Robyn the waitress was so helpful and could not do enough for us. The service was just right, efficient but we were not made to feel rushed. We enjoyed our meal so much and we couldn't believe that the restaurant was not higher up in the ratings. The food was amazing and in such a lovely setting. We felt we had had a lovely treat. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We booked the restaurant very last minute, for a family Easter Day lunch, including 2 young children and a teenager, as there were six of us staying nearby for the Easter break (from Leeds). We found the White Lodge Restaurant via a Google Search for 'Good restaurants for Easter Day in Filey'. We got a very prompt response when emailing to book, and this was all done very easily. Upon arrival, we were immediately made to feel welcome by the lovely bright Receptionist, and were led through to the lounge, to seats next to the fire, to sit for a while and look at the menu. We had a fabulous choice on the menu, considering we have one pescetarian in the group, and two vegetarians, and after making our choices and being brought our drinks, we were led through to a fabulous table overlooking the sea. The fresh bread that was brought to the table was delicious, and was shortly followed by our mains. The food was incredible, so tasty and fresh, with a lot of it. I personally had the beef roast dinner, which was divine, and we had plenty of fresh vegetables to share around. We followed with an amazing selection of desserts between us, all delicious. The service was impeccable, and the food was extremely good. We ended the meal by moving back to the lounge for our coffees, and one of the lovely waitresses brought over a basket of Easter eggs, and Lindt bunnies for us to choose from, which was a fantastic touch. The staff are all super friendly, efficient and professional, always smiling and very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend the White Lodge Restaurant, and would definitely go back. It was excellent value for money also.

My husband and I stayed here recently whilst attending a birthday party elsewhere in Filey. The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean and the bed was spacious and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast wasn't bad though the bacon was tasteless and the continental offering a little sparse. We certainly wouldn't have paid £12.50 for it if it wasn't included. At £132 for the night (and we didn't event get a sea view), we felt that this hotel was overpriced. We had stayed at another hotel on the Yorkshire coast the day before and paid £80 and this accommodation, though an inn, was also very clean, with friendly staff and tasty food. I think the prices need to be revised.

We brought my elderly mother here for lunch on Christmas Eve, having previously stated in the hotel ourselves and thoroughly enjoying it. The menu was fairly traditional as expected for Xmas. I can't remember all the choices but we all opted for the roast beef. The beef was tender, the Yorkshire pudding was unusually light and crisp, fresh veg, delicious and ample gravy. There was Xmas pud on offer but we chose a tart and creme brulee all good. My mum needed wheelchair access which is available via a side door. Lovely staff and lovely atmosphere.

As a lady used to dining alone, surprisingly for this day and age, it's not always a pleasant experience. This could not have been further from the truth at the restaurant of the White Lodge Hotel. I was made to feel very welcome and could not have been more comfortable. Starting with a glass of prosecco in the small lounge next to the dining room I was then shown to a lovely window table in the restaurant with a super view of the bay. The menu is traditional british beautifully cooked and presented and served by attentive pleasant staff. I had a lovely evening and will definitely be back again.

I've just returned from a hen weekend away and the service we received everywhere in Filey was excellent, however it must be said that this place really went above and beyond. All the staff were delightful, the food was perfect and when we were unable to get a taxi back to our accommodation the owner offered to take everyone, even when it needed several runs. All in all they were an absolute delight, I have no hesitation in recommending the white lodge!

I had a lovely experience yesterday, me and my partner went for some coffees last night to enjoy the atmosphere and look out to beach from the upstairs windows, there was this one lady with brown reddish hair who was doing a fantastic job she was darting up and down the stairs delivering food with a lovely smile and even asked how we were enjoying our coffees, Just a very pleasant young lady. As for the others we maybe saw them come up the stairs a couple of times but as we were leaving one was just sat on a laptop and the other was stood behind the bar talking to the one on the laptop. Definitely no team play. Other than that I couldn’t recommend this place enough, the atmosphere was amazing and the views are so beautiful.

What a find! This has been the loveliest meal we have had this year. The food is beautiful, my husband had haddock and loved it. I had rib of beef and it was just delightful some of the best food I have had. The landlord was super lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were lovely and attentive but not over bearing. The menu gives lots of choice and there is a brilliant gin menu. They are dog friendly too so we all had a wonderful time- thank you.
