Really great chinese restaurant, great food and service, really fresh and decently priced...good value would definitely recommend

It was quite quiet when we arrived. Lovely Chinese background music playing but not too loud that you can't hear yourself talk. Wonderful decor and lowish lighting. Fantastic attentive service , Our food was delicious and plentiful.The menu has lots of choice . Prices were reasonable too . Would highly recommend if you want authentic Chinese cuisine 😊 also please note that years ago it was cash only for payment but now they do take card!

Visité habiendo visto muy buenas críticas. Parece bastante desposeído desde afuera. Por dentro se sentía un poco anticuado y pasado de moda. Fue una noche fría y nevada con muy pocos clientes. El personal es muy amable. La comida era buena. Soy mi opinión en algún lugar para pedir una comida rápida en lugar de una noche de fiesta. Buen menú variado.

Llevé a mi esposa a este restaurante por su cumpleaños. Esta es la tercera vez que visito este restaurante y nos ha encantado las comidas cada vez. El personal es muy agradable y educado y el servicio es excelente. La comida se cocina perfectamente y es muy sabrosa y siempre está caliente. El menú tiene una amplia selección para elegir, así que hay algo allí para todos. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante. Definitivamente volveré ya que es precioso

Visiting from North America (I’m British) with my American partner. Service was a little cold, food was pretty good. My partner paid with her American Credit Card and the server went into the back with the chip and pin machine and her card and came back 5 mins later. A little odd but I assumed the card wouldn’t work on chip and pin as cards normally swipe in the U.S. it took a few weeks for the card to be charged, a few weeks later a second charge for a similar (but not the same) was run on the card. Upon calling the credit card company we found out the restaurant had manually “pan keyed” both transactions. I can only imagine you thought you could scam us because we were tourists. You’re a bunch of scumbags!

Visitamos la semana pasada, reservado con antelación por si acaso estaba ocupado que era lo que siempre es una buena señal en mi opinión. El personal era amable y muy eficiente. Pedí tostadas de gambas, pollo agridulce con fideos y mi pareja pidió curry de ternera y arroz frito con huevo. Todo fue increíble, ha pasado un tiempo desde que había tomado tostadas de gambas recién cocinadas y esto fue tan agradable, posiblemente el mejor que he probado. El resto de la comida era fantástico y sin duda volveremos en nuestra próxima visita a Scarborough.

Fantastic find. Great service . Went on a Tuesday night was quiet with some customers in . Food was lovely , good portions 1/2 duck can feed 4 or 2 for a larger starter Got 2 mains with 1 rice it was more than enough the batter on the sweet and sour chicken balls was so light . Will be calling again .

The decor and atmosphere in here is wonderful, which lends itself to an authentic aesthetic. The food we had was well-cooked and delicious. In addition, the service was very friendly and prompt, and we were made to feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend this place and would visit again when we’re next in Scarborough.

I have arrived for a short break and looking at reviews decided to get a takeaway from this place, however as soon as I walked in the lady immediately said “cash only” I said can I pay off my phone, the response was “ if you pay by card I will charge you restaurant prices”. What a joke of a place what difference does it make apart from not wanting to put everything through the books.

Good customer service, unfortunately the food was bland, oily and just poor. No flavour. Gutter actually as I was looking forward to it. We ordered takeaway food.

Our first visit here 11/08/24 Food was good and still hot when served. However the restaurant is totally lacking in atmosphere unsure we would revisit.

We came across this restaurant whilst on a walk in the centre of Scarborough and decided to try it. What a great place. Great food, great portion sizes and reasonably priced. Will definitely return on our next visit to Scarborough. Highly recommend.

Good food and reasonable prices We decided to try this Chinese after seeing it on a few visits to Scarborough. Right in the middle of the town and not far from our hotel. We decided to try the set menu at £24.50 and it was very good value with crispy duck pancakes (3 each), spring onion, cucumber and red pepper. There were 3 main courses, sizzling beef with Szechuan sauce, sweet and sour chicken and a prawn dish. Egg fried rice was included. All very tasty with nice size portions. The only reason we didn’t give it5 stars is because of the long wait for the first course, around 40 minutes. I know it was Saturday night but the place is only small

Visited this restaurant when staying in Scarborough the night, the restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, piping hot and tasty, would definitely come back when next in Scarborough!

Central location in the town. Friendly welcome on arrival. Last minute stand in waitress was really nice (sorry did not get her name). Good sized portions with excellent flavours. Reasonable prices. Definitely recommend.

We had the best Chinese meal for many a year. Sizzling lamb and sizzling pork. Absolutely yummy.

Second time visited, first time couldn't fault it, food excellent, lovely friendly service. This time little disappointed in food and prices, I ordered spare ribs, £8, for 3 ribs, feel this is a bit steep, my husband ordered roast duck, which he said was nice, but felt it lacked some vegetables in it. Feel prices have gone up. Don't think we'll be returning.

Cash only, cant order and collect, have to order at the counter and wait for it after you've paid. Went in asked fir takeaway service, was asked to wait 5 mins later more people came in got seen straight away 2 mins later 2 more people came in they were seen to i was still waiting 14 minutes later. Then they finally came to take order, the plus side, food was lovely, and didn't have to wait too long for food 20 mins about 34 minutes in total.

Really good food, great portions and really good service. We had starters or prawn toast and duck rolls which were both really tasty. We then had noodles, egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and lamb in black bean and it was all great quality, large portions of rice and noodles so could be shared by 2 easily. The Chinese beer is nice too!

Was a little bit dubious when entering as there wasn't anyone in else in the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would be happy to go again. Price was average

I've been meaning to do this for a while. We like a chinese, the wife and I, so visiting Scarborough in early December and staying nearby decided to come here. We had a set meal for two and a glass of white wine. The food was delish and nicely presented. And there was enough to take home for another go at it! Everything to like, and we hope the chef got a share of the tip. We hope to come again in February.

Excellent food - we came for a meal news years Eve. We enjoyed ribs, sweet chill chicken, beef with green peppers and chicken in oyster sauce. We are a family of 5 and everyone enjoyed it. This was our second visit (the first was 4 years ago) - we would 100% recommend and will return the next time we return to Scarborough.

We called in yesterday evening for a welcome change from all the Christmas food we had been eating. The place is traditionally decorated and has lovely music playing. The lady who served us was lovely, very quick efficient and helpful without being over fussy! We had a sharing starter for 2 along with duck 1/4 it’s was absolutely delicious we eat the whole thing in minutes. The chow main was delicious too! The Chinese beer complimented the meal perfectly. Over all we left very full and happy! Would 100% recommend had a really good time thank you 👍🏼

Was a bit surprised when we ordered spring rolls to be told we had to buy sweet n sour sauce to go with them. I've never been in a restaurant where they don't give you it with the rolls. Food was good, decor very outdated.

Sadly gone down hill. I ordered sizzling chicken with cashew nuts - it seemed to actually be sweet and sour chicken minus pineapple with a few cashew nuts sprinkled on top. Rice's ordered to share but came already on the plates. Boiled rice tasteless and unseasonal. Chicken slimy ? Frozen.

My closest Chinese was shut. So I explored further and found a place that doesn't do delivery. The atmosphere is Chinese. The food is Chinese. The price is Chinese. The staff are Chinese. I was served with courtesy and due time, the restaurant was almost full and everyone enjoyed their food. I was rushed over dessert, warned that the kitchen was about to close. Not brave enough to order lychee, I paid my bill and left satisfied.

Central location in side street opposite Wetherspoons, as far as I know the only other Chinese are on the North Bay or a bus ride away in Falsgrave Road. Previous visit in 2019 when had Chicken Chow Mein, this time had King Prawn. It was delicious, the only thing that's changed in four years is it's £4 more. Will be back next year on my next Scarb holiday. My only criticism is they don't do chicken or king prawn curry.

Food and staff lovely but not a great selection of beers.

Delicious and freshly prepared authentic Chinese food. This restaurant should be jammed packed on a Friday evening. Great service, would highly recommend and will be back on my next visit to Scarborough.

Drinks spilt all over me, no replacement, just a glass of shoddy cheap house wine to replace a 20 quid bottle. Got screamed at and threatened with police when I offered to pay in full. Bad attitude man. Food was great by the way

We have just had a couple of days in Scarborough and go to this restaurant whenever we are there, staff are pleasant and the food is really good, it's so good this time we went 2 nights running

Attentive staff, lovely food. Lots of choice for vegetarian, good labelling. I had vegetable spring rolls, very generous portions, tasty rolls. Vegetable chow mien and chinese vegetable with garlic for main. All very tasty and lots of chunky veg in the chow Mein.

We are regular visitors to this restaurant and we've never been disappointed, I just realised I wrote a previous review and the main caveat was that they didn't take credit cards, well they do now so no excuse!

The service was great we were welcomed straight away! Food was delicious but the special fried rice was a bit bland and we couldn't taste much. The curry sauce was a bit spicy but that was ok. Overall we left Happy.

Spent £142 asked very politely for some complimentary prawn crackers and was told we had not spent enough. How much are prawn crackers? What a joke!

Tried for the first time and a very nice Chinese Restaurant. The menu isn't massive but every taste is well catered for. The mixed meat curry was very nice but the spare rib starter was very small and we didn't get a lot of chips. Service was fast. 4 out of 5.

Super yummy we had dinner twice here, every dish was amazing, the presentation and the flavours just to die for, l would totally recommend you try

I always have my celebratory Hot and Sour soup whenever I arrive to Scarborough. Great taste and the price! It’s made from scratch as it takes 10 minutes to make which I gladly wait patiently for. My wife prefers their other dishes but I rave about their soup. Cheers from a Suffolk lad!

A highly recommend place to visit, the food was delicious, excellent customer service very friendly and accommodating. The prices are great too. We had a great dinner experience, wasn't that busy but came quite late, so be advised they close at 10pm. Portions are generous and we loved the sizzling beef dish. The menu has the allergies info by numbers so you can easily identify it. If you like Chinese Food definitely give it a go, also have few Thai dishes and Chef speciality. Thumbs up!

Was was okay nothing more than okay, my takeaway is much better and a lot cheaper £3 for chips got 10 chips in totally . Very dark and very dated . No atmosphere no passion. Needs a revamp

A great takeaway very close to our hotel a bit expensive compared to some takeaways but very nice food well worth the little extra money.

Food was lovely, don't know what the issue is with the cost as we felt this was on a par with most places for a Chinese restaurant, cost us around £43 for2 drinks each, a starter and 2 mains with extras. Will definitely visit again when we are back in Scarborough.
