Oriental Chinese Restaurant in Scarborough

Was a little bit dubious when entering as there wasn't anyone in else in the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would be happy to go again. Price was average

Gorgeous restaurant, lovely food and friendly staff. Food was fresh and made with quality ingredients.

Was a bit surprised when we ordered spring rolls to be told we had to buy sweet n sour sauce to go with them. I've never been in a restaurant where they don't give you it with the rolls. Food was good, decor very outdated.

A large party of us went for Dinner, had a lovely time and the meals was delicious

Sadly gone down hill. I ordered sizzling chicken with cashew nuts - it seemed to actually be sweet and sour chicken minus pineapple with a few cashew nuts sprinkled on top. Rice's ordered to share but came already on the plates. Boiled rice tasteless and unseasonal. Chicken slimy ? Frozen.

My closest Chinese was shut. So I explored further and found a place that doesn't do delivery. The atmosphere is Chinese. The food is Chinese. The price is Chinese. The staff are Chinese. I was served with courtesy and due time, the restaurant was almost full and everyone enjoyed their food. I was rushed over dessert, warned that the kitchen was about to close. Not brave enough to order lychee, I paid my bill and left satisfied.

Central location in side street opposite Wetherspoons, as far as I know the only other Chinese are on the North Bay or a bus ride away in Falsgrave Road. Previous visit in 2019 when had Chicken Chow Mein, this time had King Prawn. It was delicious, the only thing that's changed in four years is it's £4 more. Will be back next year on my next Scarb holiday. My only criticism is they don't do chicken or king prawn curry.

Food and staff lovely but not a great selection of beers.

Delicious and freshly prepared authentic Chinese food. This restaurant should be jammed packed on a Friday evening. Great service, would highly recommend and will be back on my next visit to Scarborough.

Drinks spilt all over me, no replacement, just a glass of shoddy cheap house wine to replace a 20 quid bottle. Got screamed at and threatened with police when I offered to pay in full. Bad attitude man. Food was great by the way

We have just had a couple of days in Scarborough and go to this restaurant whenever we are there, staff are pleasant and the food is really good, it's so good this time we went 2 nights running

Attentive staff, lovely food. Lots of choice for vegetarian, good labelling. I had vegetable spring rolls, very generous portions, tasty rolls. Vegetable chow mien and chinese vegetable with garlic for main. All very tasty and lots of chunky veg in the chow Mein.

We are regular visitors to this restaurant and we've never been disappointed, I just realised I wrote a previous review and the main caveat was that they didn't take credit cards, well they do now so no excuse!

The service was great we were welcomed straight away! Food was delicious but the special fried rice was a bit bland and we couldn't taste much. The curry sauce was a bit spicy but that was ok. Overall we left Happy.

Welcoming staff, plenty of choice on the menu and food really tasty.

Spent £142 asked very politely for some complimentary prawn crackers and was told we had not spent enough. How much are prawn crackers? What a joke!

Came here 14 years ago as a new couple and came back with our grown up kids Just as we remembered and the food was just as delicious My partner is now gluten free and they catered for him perfectly Highly recommended

Tried for the first time and a very nice Chinese Restaurant. The menu isn't massive but every taste is well catered for. The mixed meat curry was very nice but the spare rib starter was very small and we didn't get a lot of chips. Service was fast. 4 out of 5.

I always have my celebratory Hot and Sour soup whenever I arrive to Scarborough. Great taste and the price! It’s made from scratch as it takes 10 minutes to make which I gladly wait patiently for. My wife prefers their other dishes but I rave about their soup. Cheers from a Suffolk lad!

A highly recommend place to visit, the food was delicious, excellent customer service very friendly and accommodating. The prices are great too. We had a great dinner experience, wasn't that busy but came quite late, so be advised they close at 10pm. Portions are generous and we loved the sizzling beef dish. The menu has the allergies info by numbers so you can easily identify it. If you like Chinese Food definitely give it a go, also have few Thai dishes and Chef speciality. Thumbs up!

Great food, great service, authentic cuisine. This is my second time there after a year and I wasn’t disappointed.

Food was was okay but the staff were quite rude. Waiting time for food was slow. While taking our order, the service wasn’t good and had no patience at all. I won’t be coming back soon.

Was was okay nothing more than okay, my takeaway is much better and a lot cheaper £3 for chips got 10 chips in totally . Very dark and very dated . No atmosphere no passion. Needs a revamp

A great takeaway very close to our hotel a bit expensive compared to some takeaways but very nice food well worth the little extra money.

Food was lovely, don't know what the issue is with the cost as we felt this was on a par with most places for a Chinese restaurant, cost us around £43 for2 drinks each, a starter and 2 mains with extras. Will definitely visit again when we are back in Scarborough.

Ate here tonight. Lovely clean restaurant. I can personally recommend the sweet and sour chicken (Hong Kong style) and boiled rice. Was easily the best I’ve tasted.

Clean restaurant, a lovely place to dine in. Food was tasty and reasonably priced, hubby and I enjoyed everything we ordered.

Was in this restaurant today had good reviews so decided to try it. I had a beef curry fried rice and my husband a chicken curry fried rice. It looked an ok restaurant but a bit expensive so thought we’d give it a try. We both couldn’t believe how small the portions were and honestly I’m not a big eater. The curry itself was ok probably 6/10 but the portions were the smallest curry I’ve ever seen in my life. I eat Chinese most weekends. The portions honestly wouldn’t fill my 8 year old grandson. After heading back to our hotel for an hour or so we had to head back out for something else to eat.

The worst Chinese meal I 've ever had. Could not eat it!

Excellent starters, however I have never had special Chow Mein and vermicelli without prawns and taste, however this was replaced with hot dog sausages and tinned ham, very disappointed..,,,

Cheap and super nice food and staff

After reading such great reviews my family and I were really excited to come here - and we managed to get a table without booking so we were thrilled. The place looks brilliant and clean, and staff were friendly. However first impressions was that it was a bit more expensive than we were expecting - but this just made us think it was a testament to how good it was. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken, beef in peking sauce, sweet and sour chicken balls, and sides of egg fried rice, soft noodles and chips. First thing to note is the portion sizes were quite small, for the price we were expecting more. Secondly, the salt and pepper chicken is a family favourite but here it was sadly bland and tasteless, a huge disappointment. The other dishes were nice, but between 4 of us we were still hungry at the end. A disappointing evening after looking forward to it so much.
