The best restaurants in Filey Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Second time having breakfast at The Pines for me, third for my mum and brother with whom I come on holiday to lovely Filey. I can see how the local older folk love this little cafe but you don't have to be old to appreciate its charm or indeed a good, reasonably priced English breakfast. Malcolm is a great host with his cheeky banter!

We visited here on a Saturday morning, there were only a couple of tables free, lovely atmosphere, dogs are allowed in. We had drinks and my daughter had a bacon sandwich, really nice and not too expensive. We will definitely visit again for something to eat!

This is a return visit as the burger s are the best ones around, not that they don't do other things, a Sunday lunch for one , I had a regular cheese burger - lots of different ones , my wife had the smaller version , I had a nice beer to go with it it ( bnb ) wine for my wife , it's a small place so best to book if you want to be sure of a table 😀

After wandering down the sea front we came across this place squeezed in between other business with similar offerings. After checking out the alternative prices and menus we decided on this one and what a great decision that was. We had the Banofee Crepes and Nutella, really reasonable pricing and really hit the spot. Perfect little treat and not sickly either. Just right!

Ordered a medium beef dinner, yorkshire pudding wrap, lemon cake and a apple crumble/custard. All were lovely! Fast service and good price for quality food. Would definitely come again and recommend x

1st time customer but I will use again. Two roast pork Sunday lunches, all the trimmings available plus peas, carrots cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds and onion gravy. Lovely food at good price served by nice friendly people. Thank you

Always our first choice when in Filey. Food is always excellent and great value for money. Great service. Staff are always so friendly.

One of the best vegetarian breakfasts I've had and my husband rated his breakfast highly too. We also ate lunch here and had the same good quality meals x Lovely owners and they made us feel very welcome x

After all these years visiting Filey, first time calling n will not be the last, excellent freshly cooked full English breakfast, piping hot as we like it, staff were very friendly, toilets exceptionally clean n tidy, pet friendly 🍳🥓

Fantastic little find. Chicken Kiev calzone best pizza dough. Penne pasta dish, so creamy. Lovely dessert. Ate early to avoid Halloween rush, so a great meal and unbelievable prices when the bill came. We'd arrived in happy hour 😀. Would pay full price as worth every penny. Thanks for being so friendly and welcoming xxx

The best fish and chips. Great service and value. Can’t recommend more - worth the 250 mile drive - we also saw friends and had a great walk.

What a great place we spent weekend in Filey celebrating a 50th birthday, didn’t book was wandering around looking for fish n chips in the recent storm when we found this place. Quickly seated 11 of us for a carvery which was delicious, loads of choice, friendly, helpful staff, great atmosphere and my husband took a take our pudding which was also delicious Would recommend, loved all the pirate decor

A lovely dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The sweet chilli pickle in the pickle tray was a new one on us. I certainly prefer it to the more traditional lime pickle.
