Benny's Bar & Grill in Scarborough

Went to Benny’s for my birthday this evening. We had the sharing platter which absolutely filled us right up! Portions are huge and all of it was gorgeous. Steak melted in your mouth. Service was so quick and staff were really lovely. Also had cocktails which were equally lovely. Really nice atmosphere. Would 10000% go here again.

Amazing place, we recently visited for my birthday, the steak was one of the best I have had. The quality of the food was well worth the cost, the portions are huge and everything was cooked to perfection. The service was amazing, the lady who served us, was so attentive and friendly and just a genuinely lovely person. The owner/chef checked we enjoyed our meal and it was evident he was very passionate about providing great food and service. We will certainly be returning whenever we visit Filey. If you want great service, amazing food and cocktails give this place a try, we had a great night.

Booked to eat here for my wife’s birthday a couple of weeks ago and so glad we visited. We were staying down the coast in Reighton and wanted somewhere special for her birthday. We had our daughter with us and all 3 of us enjoyed the food. Burgers steak etc all top notch. Couple running the place were very nice and genuine. We fully recommend it for a great night.

Booked to go to benny's on a Monday night. They don't open on a Monday but we messaged and asked their opening times during the week It was our wedding anniversary and they said as it was a special occasion they would open. we where over the moon we are local and like to support local businesses as it's a long winter in a small town. So to our horror we walked around the corner to find it in darkness we messaged on social media to see what had happened expecting a fast response and thought something serious may have happened. About an hour later we had a reply sorry forgot to message gone on a training course. I thought wow maybe customer service training anyway won't ever book again and won't recommend to our family and friends. At least the local takeaway Indian takeaway was good so not all bad.

Great restaurant. We went as a large family of 12. The food was great, It is a small restaurant so had a really good atmosphere and good service. Would definitely go again.

We visited Benny’s after reading the reviews, and it lived up to all the plaudits that the reviews lavished upon it. We were very hungry after walking 10-miles with the dog so went straight in for mains. My girlfriend is vegetarian so she opted for the veggie burrito and I went for the Ribeye which is my favourite cut. They had one of my favourite ales in Ghostship (Sam Adnam’s) and my missus did the two cocktails for £13. The space is utilised well and it’s quaint and the staff can’t do enough to accommodate. Our food was on the table by the time I’d consumed half of my Ghostship! My steak was really good and my girlfriend raved about her burrito, every item on my plate was prepared and cooked to a high standard. Four drinks and two mains came in at £76 and the quality was bang on! We’ll definitely be back, well done Chef!

Bennys is a great bar and restaurant offering the most amazing burgers all freshly cooked to order by Ben. This family run business is a little gem where every diner is made to feel special Other than burgers you can get steaks and other great options Bennys also caters for gluten free Certain worth a visit

On holiday in Thornwick Bay, and come to Filey just to try this place as it had good reviews. And the reviews were spot on definitely worth the drive. Had the burger and T bone steak. Very good and tasty. Lovely hidden gem. Lovey owner too .💯recommend will definitely be back when we are next in Filey ☺️.

We walked in off the street with a group of 6 were seated quickly, friendly staff and great atmosphere and the food was great too!

What an amazing place, lovely food - I had the T -Bone steak, lovely flavour… everything cooked to perfection! Lovely cocktails… such friendly staff who looked after us so well… will be back next year… (holiday visit).

Found this place by accident. So glad we went in! Delicious food…. Sunday lunch was amazing with loads of meat and fresh veggies. Very reasonable prices. Great taste in music as well! Can highly recommend.

Can’t rate this place highly enough, missus had the bacon cheeseburger and other 2 of us shared the steak platter, added Diane sauce. Everything cooked to perfection. Salted caramel cheesecake for dessert was also unreal!! 10/10🤤

Nice, cosy atmosphere. Cater for all the family and cook a delicious steak. Not too pricey. Would definitely visit again.

We had an Amazing meal, gorgeous sides, good cocktails and wonderful staff. Recommend the Mac daddy burger. Great atmosphere as well, we will 100% be back for a steak!

Decided to give steak night a go on Thursday 14th March with my husband and daughter. It did not disapoint. We had the 2 ribeyes with garlic mushrooms and mac and cheese. Was absolutely lovely. Plenty for the little 1s to choose from, my daughter had mac and cheese, was a large portion for a children's meal but sue demolished the lot. Lovely atmosphere and like the fact that the chef Ben comes out of the kitchen and comes and interacts with diners once he has finished cooking. Great dinner, we will be back

Great little eatery. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. A great selection. We had starters, steaks, burgers and the kebab. Absolutely brilliant on all counts. Well worth a visit if you’re in Filey. We’ll be back!

Based on excellent reviews on here, my wife and I called in today (Sunday afternoon) to try it ourselves. The staff are lovely, friendly people and made us feel very welcome. The food was exceptional. My ribeye steak was cooked to absolute perfection and melted in the mouth. My wife had chicken kebab, which was beautifully presented and thoroughly enjoyed. Benny’s is well worth a visit and based on our experience is sure to succeed in Filey. We have already booked for a return visit in 2 weeks time.

Most amazing steak we have ever had ! The ribs are also.a must and the Eton Mess pudding is to die for! Great food, great atmosphere, great service! Just fabulous!

Cheeky takeaway as a last minute plan! GF burgers were absolutely scrumptious, tasty, filling and the staff were welcoming and kind on collection, thank you Ben and the team we will be back.

We visited, 2 adults and 2 kids and they were about to close by stayed open for us. Excellent brunch portions. Superior quality local bacon and sausages. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. A business that deserves to do well. Strongly recommended.
