Lezzet Mediterranean Bistro in Scarborough

Incredible food and decent vegetarian options! I was blown away by the Imam Bayildi, an eggplant dish with pine nuts and blackcurrent (video attached). The halloumi as a starter was great as well.

Beautiful decor, lovely staff and delicious food! We had the Lamb Tandir and it was so tasty, with so much lamb! Highly recommend.

The food is ok, friendly staff. The owner kindly took off the price of my cocktail as I found it far too sweet! It's a bit pricey for what you get.

What an absolutely fantastic place to eat. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was so tasty and well presented. The staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. We went on a Tuesday evening and the place was buzzing. I highly recommend you book you won’t be disappointed.

We go to Lezzet every time we're in Scarborough - about 2/3 times a year. The food is excellent, the service if helpful and welcoming, and the ambience is lovely. We also sometimes just sit outside for a drink. The coffee is great quality and the wines on offer are good quality at a reasonable price. We would highly recommend.

We were recommended to Lezzet by our hotel and it was an excellent choice. We got about the last table on a Friday night and were delighted about everything. The menu was extensive and ranged widely around the Med and near east. Other diners seemed to include a number of regulars. Prices were reasonable across the menu. A specially-imported, regional wine was very pleasant and not by any means over-priced.

Excellent experience, exemplary food, fabulous atmosphere and amazing staff! CANNOT recommend this restuarant enough! 100% Top notch. We will be back 😀

We visited this restaurant early one a Saturday evening, Simply to enquire if there ware any tables free this evening. We were greeted by a very pompous, rude and attitude riddled server to informed us they are full booked and we should be more prepared. After a short walk where we were greeted in the friendliest manner and with open arms at Askims another local Mediterranean restaurant. We were seated in seconds, offered complimentary starters and superior beverages and food. A no brainier if you’re thinking of dining at lezzet Mediterranean, go to Askims instead 🤌

Never tried Turkish food before but took a chance. Staff members very helpful and suggested a sharing platter. Most amazing Chicken Parm weve ever tasted. The bechemel sauce was as smooth as syrup. Flavours complimented each part beautifully. Came with a Trio of desserts which were outstanding. The homemade Baklava 5*. Will be back for sure

Was our first visit and we would definitely come again. The food was lovely, served by friendly staff and the restaurant was gorgeous. It We had for our mains, hanging Mixed Shish Kebab, lamb with a Béchamel sauce and Iskender mixed kebab. Highly recommend!

Excellent service and more than excellent food. Just had the mains, which was just as well because they were very generous portions. The lamb dish was very tasty and the mixed grill platter was superb - well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

My partner booked a table beforehand and I was glad he did! It was buzzing for a drizzly dull Monday night. We had starters of olives and hummus and garlic mushrooms which were lovely. Our mains were chicken ishkender and lamb tandir. Absolutely gorgeous, the best tandir I have ever had. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Scarborough.

I was very happy the first day I went there because the food was delicious, unfortunately this is not the case in the second day because lahmbageen and falafel were the worst 😢, I put picture for the first meal

Came here on one of our random selections for some late night food (got here around 9pm on a Saturday). Place was busy inside so we decided to sit outside as the weather was nice and was still under cover from the sea gulls nearby. Manager was nice and recommended dishes to us which we decided to have. Food was amazing, and if we were local, this would be one of our regular haunts and we will come back again if we are ever up this way.

We made a last minute reservation for 10 persons. It was a family event, my wife and daughters birthdays. We could not have been happier with the restaurant, staff, food and drinks. All food came out together, hot, authentic and delicious. Service was very pleasant and relaxed, also accommodating the 2 youngsters we had dining with us. We will most certainly return next time we are in the area. Many thanks.

We had a bad experience here, the waiter had recommended a meal to us so we chose it, he said it was very filling and off course when it arrived it was a pretty small donner wrap with about 12 chips on it! We we're very shocked and disappointed not to mention the waiter then came and sat on the next table too us! And began eating his lunch in the restaurant!! 😲 and he had more food on his plate than we did as paying customers!!! That was very insulting to us!! Very disappointing and quite frankly insulting! Another waiter kept asking other customers are your meals ok Sir/Madam! But nobody including him never asked us if we enjoyed it except the young waitress at the end! A no no don't waste your money!! 🫤👎

We booked a table for 22 people to celebrate with the girls the night before my wedding. The food was incredible! delicious and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. The service was amazing. We booked a meal at Lezzet for a big family get together ranging in age from 7 to 75. We also have people with various allergies. The range of choice was perfect for all of us. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the Turkish wine. Teşekkür ederim!

Lamb Tandir exceptional! Everything was very tasty!

On a weekend visit to scarborough my wife and I found this place for lunch,what a find!The sharing mixed grill was amazing,perfectly cooked food and great value for money.Friendly waiter provided great conversation and service.Proper hidden gem of a restaurant couldn't fault anything.

Fantastic staff, very welcoming, lovely food. Would reccomend, suggest booking as gets busy. Although it was full, the atmosphere was lovely, staff attentive and food came out quickly. Thank you for fitting us in last minute and for the free drink to make up for the shorter stay. We will definitely visit here again. Had mixed fish and kebab, both enjoyed our meal.The honeycomb cheesecake, best dessert ever.

Me and my girlfriend came here for a birthday dinner as we was at Scarborough for her birthday the food was amazing I had hollumi for a starter it was amazing and I had the meat ball sounding dish I can’t remember what it was called but it was really nice and my girlfriend had a lamb dish and it was amazing we also had a few drinks they were really nice we will be returning next time we’re in Scarborough the staff were lovely and the decor is really good too

A group of 4 ladies stumbled across this beautiful restaurant during a day out in Scarborough… what a discover! Food was the best we’ve ever had, all of the staff were warm and welcoming, our Waiter ‘Will’ was very charming and attentive. We will 100% return in the future. Thank you! Xx

Terrific welcome - and awesome menu! We had a bruschetta starter and a baked Brie. I had halloumi wrapped in pastrami as my main and she had chicken, crayfish and mushrooms in a butter sauce. Both were rich and filling - and the service was friendly and efficient! We’ll be back! 💃🕺

Really nice small Turkish restuarant, it had a cozy feel to it and the decor was really nice and authentic feeling. To start I had the Meze Platter for 2 on my own, it was amazing, really nice dips and sauces with fresh meat and bread with it. I had Mutuncana for my main which was kind of like a stew, it was fresh and nice but wasn't really my cup of tea honestly, then I had Baklava too for dessert which was good but a bit small in my opinion, I would have preferred more filling inside it as it just tasted of pastry really. Still though the staff were really nice and even though I was travelling alone they made me feel welcome, the Efes bottle I had was a lovely beer, absolutely lovely. At the end they gave me a free shot for spending so much too so that was a really nice touch, I would definitely come here again!

Fantastic service. Nothing was too much trouble. We were dining with our 2 young grandchildren and were made to feel very welcome. Food was excellent and we definitely would eat there again.

Food is incredible, i go here frequently and have ordered majority of the menu by now, and I must say I've loved it all. I highly recommend the hallumi burger and the mixed grill platter. Staff are friendly, wait time is reasonable and children are well-catered for although due to the environment I would say the restaurant is better suited to adults. Atmosphere inside is nice however the outside tables don't have a particularly nice view due to the central location. Highly recommend for an evening meal, atmosphere is even better at night 👍

Fantastic Mediterranean food, had the meat platter for two shared with my daughter. Extremely tasty and a huge amount, you would need to have a big appetite to eat it all. Very friendly service as well. Will definitely go again

Great for a walk in early dinner as seems to get booked up for evenings. Plenty of choice and food prepared freshly. Daily special was beef Moussaka and it was delicious, red hot, dressed salad &fries on the side. Hubby had koftas to start, olives & houmous for me, generous servings. £70 for 2 courses, beer and wine, good quality food and we could sit outside in the sun as if we were in the Med 👌

We visited on our last night of a week in Scarborough, and we really wish we had discovered this place sooner so we could go back! The food was beautiful, the staff were lovely and we left feeling absolutely stuffed! We had a mezze starter with beautiful array of dips and other bits. We had a range of mains including the seafood casserole, mixed grill and lamb special and all of the food was super tasty. We will definitely be making a trip back!

Attended with my wife and two friends. The size of the restaurant is quite small but the flavours of the food are massive. On arrival the staff are pleasant, helpful and very friendly. The food is Mediterranean cuisine and is excellent, very tasty, plentiful and you will be glad you ate here. Prices are very reasonable for a town centre restaurant. Do yourself a favour and give them a try, you will not be disappointed

Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end We were a party of 10 celebrating a family 50th Pre ordered food and the starters were freshly cooked and very big portions Different main cause from the kebabs to the lamb every one was so impressed and plates cleared Very good prices for both food and drink Went the extra mile on presentation of the birthday cake we were given plates and forks which was a nice touch Staff were very caring and just 1st class This we be our return to restaurant next time we go to Scarborough

Fell upon this place on a day trip to Scarborough. We come every year, but hadn't seen it before. As fans of Greece, we decided to come back for lunch. We did at around 2:00, and decided to sit outside as the weather was unusually warm for March. The only reason I haven't given this place five stars is that my daughter and myself had time to go to the toilet, return and sit for ten minutes, before we were given any menus, and that was only because I asked. However on hindsight I do think the staff thought we were waiting for a table inside. We ordered from the vast lunchtime menu, and admired the food brought to the tables by the side of us. It looked fresh and tasty, and I can confirm, on recieving our meal, it was! My daughter's children's portion was a good size, and our wraps were delicious. As a veggie I was very happy with the choice. We will see you again next year!

Booked a table at this quaint little restaurant recently while visiting Scarborough. Thursday evening and wasn't busy but good atmosphere. Food was beautiful and service excellent. Definitely a memorable experience, highly recommended.
