A small, quirky cafe situated in one of Filey's station buildings which is very convenient for takeaway drinks & snacks if you're in a hurry to catch a train. We had the tasty full English breakfast which was great value at £6.50 and Yorkshire tea (£2.30). The menu is amazingly extensive for such a small enterprise but we felt that the home-made tray-bakes, though attractive in appearance, were quite expensive, in comparison. (£4.50+). The experience could have been made a 5-star one if the cafe had been made warmer on this cold, frosty morning & had some pleasant background music been put on to give customers a little more privacy whilst talking & eating.

Popped in for a coffee and sandwich. Lovely coffee and a great sandwich. Great selection of sandwiches and salads etc. Reasonably priced. Seating inside and out.

I work close by and thought I would try this new place for a take away lunch. Well I've been back 5 times now and it's only been open 2 weeks! I have tried a baked potato with beans and salad, very nice. A Ham salad box which was great too, love that you get more than just lettuce tomatoes and cucumber, there was celery, beetroot, carrot, olives, sweetcorn to name a few and you just tell them if there is an item you don't want in it. Then my favourite so far was the Chicken & tomato hot pasta box! the tomato sauce was just so so tasty, big chunks of chicken and you can have it with or without salad. The bakewell slice and blueberry muffins were to die for too. Couldn't get over the prices for what you get, it's cheaper, and tastier than taking something from home for lunch. I'll be trying the panini's next week!

Lovely, clean and friendly little tearoom which we came across while escaping the manic town centre during the Goth festival today. Will be back next time we're in Whitby, many thanks.

The summer of 1976,brilliant pub we met a couple from Scotland, Archie and Brenda, they were staying in the pub Archie played the drums. Returned 2 years later and bumped into them again, hence saying we had 2 brilliant holidays and spent most of our time in the Ship, it looks as if it's still going well, A lot older now but we're going to drop in again soon.🙂
