Filey coffee Lounge in Scarborough

Lovely, friendly little place. Proper Yorkshire tea from a proper Yorkshire tea-pot (leaky, but so what) :) and a delicious piece of cake to go with it...just what we needed...

This is a great little cafe we had breakfast there and it was superb couldn't fault it I had bacon.2 sausages 2 fried eggs a tomato grilled and ,2 slices of toast you could also have baked beans and mushrooms but I don't like them. The staff were so friendly and nice all in all a great place. Would visit it again. Anne waller

Best coffee in Filey by a country mile, Owners are really friendly nothing too much trouble. The breakfast sandwiches are great too.

lovely Thai food great place to visit we went lunch time and had a fantastic meal don't know if they are open evenings. Always great to meet Thai people who turn out great food and snacks....

We popped to Filey for a drive and a spot of lunch. Discovered the Coffee Lounge by chance and what a find! Enjoyed a very nice breakfast sandwich and a cuppa on a very cold day. Hubby the ultimate coffee snob really enjoyed the coffee. Only small premises yet the seats are comfy and the staff and the customers were very friendly as we are newcomers to the area. We were too late to try the Thai food yet it will be our excuse to return. Absolutely smashing - see you again soon x

It said it was good coffee but it was more than that! The owner is called Richard, I know this because there were so many regulars who spoke to him. It is a small place and it was full. People sat outside too. We only had drinks but others around us had food and complemented Richard on how lovely the bacon and cakes were. They also do take out and ice cream. It is right near the front but is really reasonable. We will be back and would recommend to others.

Just by chance we noticed The Coffee lounge serving Thai food so decided to book one evening and we were not disappointed. The food is freshly cooked, colourful and very tasty, you can take your own alcohol. The food is very reasonably priced and they also offer a takeaway service. We will definitely be returning customers when in Filey its a hidden gem.

Lovely little cafe serving excellent coffee, delicious cakes and authentic, freshly cooked Thai dishes. Helpful, efficient and hospitable staff.

We stopped here for an early morning cuppa before descending on the food and drink festival. Grabbed a table outside and ordered inside. Good strong cup of tea served in a cup and saucer. Staff friendly and helpful and prices very reasonable.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Thai food that we ate here on our last night in Filey. Our food was freshly cooked very tasty and as good as any Thai food we've eaten. We took our own bottle of wine which is always good and had coffee and cake to finish, both were very good. We'll be back next time we visit Filey.

If you want an excellent Thai dining experience as well as just a coffee, breakfast or lunch then this place is a must. Only a small cafe but packed with variety. If you like Thai food then I strongly recommend booking a table in the evening as part of your night out. Excellent quality and excellent prices. You are more than welcome to bring your own wine, beer etc for your meal. If your in Filey....go!

I nipped in with my daughter for coffee and cake. The coffee was good and the cake was nice. Each potion of cake came with a little jug of cream which was a nice extra touch.

We love being in Filey, it’s one of our favourite places. And when we go, the Coffee Lounge (opposite the Belle Vue pub) is always worth a visit. The coffee and cake are great, and the Thai food is brilliant - authentic, tasty and really good value.

Customer service is lapse. Extensive menu though the quality is poor and not good value for money. Jacket potato dry with very small amount of cheese. Toasties looked like been made by children and no side salad. Disappointed in the milkshakes that were £2.50 and basically crusha with some cream squirted on top. Not worth the money.

We have just eaten THE. BEST Thai meal ever. We regularly eat Thai food but have never tasted anything so authentic before. This little cafe makes food to order as it is not in local demand. We strongly advise people to give this little gem a try we guarantee you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back when we visit Filey next. Thank you it was delicious

Enjoyed some nice toasties here and lovely Thai spring rolls. The coffee was excellent! Inexpensive, no nonsense, just what we needed to keep us going. If we hadn't had a restaurant reservation for the evening I would've loved to try one of the curries! Maybe a next time....

We visited the coffee lounge today and the price of a hot chocolate was in the window at £2.30 I was charged £5 for two. I politely asked why £5and not £4.60 as advertised in the window. The owner was very rude and aggressive so I asked for a refund, he refused and basically kicked us out of the shop Shocking customer service. We are a middle age local couple and will definitely not be going back.

The first cafe we came to and we're so glad we decided to go in. Great tasting coffee and delicious cakes served by the friendly owners. Jaffa orange cake was sublime.

My husband and I went in for coffee and cake and we're happy to discover dogs were welcome too. A bowl of fresh water was outside for thirsty pooches. We had the coffee and cake offer for £4.25 Lovely coffee, cake was lovely and a fair portion. Staff were friendly. Would recommend.

I was in Filey with time to kill, called in here for mug of tea and a piece of cake, all very tasty and served by a very polite young lady

If you are looking for a great cup of coffee look no further, it's only a small place but it makes up for that by being big on taste. Food looks ok but it was the coffee that attracted me.
