The beef was very tough couldn’t even cut some my friends was just as bad and the outside was like rock. For the price it wasn’t good. The pudding was delicious

Food was fantastic. Great to eat and fairly priced. Service was awkward and avoided. Staff spoke in a passive aggressive manner to customers. At one point a man came in and asked for a table to get a coffee and was told ‘there are plenty of places on this road for coffee, you don’t need one here’. Asked for the bill after 45 mins of the table not being cleared, and no further drinks order being taken. The bill was placed onto the table and nothing said. We got coats on and waited for a card machine. We eventually made eye contact with a member of staff who said ‘you need to pay at the bar.’ This hadn’t been explained and wasn’t written anywhere. When we arrived another customer was complaining and arguing with a member of staff. Staff avoided us, which felt intentional. It felt as though staff only were interested in people ordering food. One member of staff stood behind the bar and barked orders at other staff without manners. It’s a shame, as the location, venue and aesthetic are lovely.

Had the pizza deal new for a friday between 4 and 6. It was amazing excellent value for money worth trying. Staff very helpful nice atmosphere in the place. We will be returning.

Lovely place. Staff friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, and reasonably priced for a special evening meal, had a cheeky cocktail too.

This is a lovely place to eat. We stayed in Filey for 4 nights and had lunch here twice. Lovely decor, dog friendly, friendly and helpful staff. Food is really good, we had panini’s, mushroom stroganoff and biscoff cheesecake which was delicious!

A large group of us managed to book a table in the Glass House part of the establishment. It was steady for a Thursday night, but the staff were still helpful and friendly and helped us out surprising one of the party with a birthday cake. Meatball pizza was a meaty, cheesey dream.

Exceptional food & friendly service, steak cooked to perfection rare and medium rare ! Fish pie was the best I’ve ever eaten pork belly didn’t disappoint crispy and tasty ! Kids loved the grazing menu (tapas style ) gluten free options across the menu which was much welcomed for one of our party ! Definitely visit if you are in Filey

This place is seriously overpriced. Food was tasty but £18 for a peoperoni pizza is ridiculous. The staff were abrupt and rude and made you feel as if you should feel priviliged to eat here! I had to ask for toilet paper for the loo and despite requesting salt and vinegar twice we eventually had to ask the table next to us for some. The place is aesthetically quite pleasing until you notice the plastic branches screwed on to real tree trunks 🤣🤣

Cracking food and service will be back. Happy days 😎

Booked a dinner at Charlottes with my family. The main course was ok but very disappointed with my biscoff cheesecake.This was a tiny portion for £7.95! Also my mother ordered a Margarita cocktail and was never asked if she wanted salt on the rim. A disappointing visit and way over priced now.

Absolutely fantastic place. Dog friendly and the food is amazing. Best food around the area, The steak pie is amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back. Definitely not to be missed.

Was okay. Not amazing or anything but good. £18 for a steak pie and chips felt expensive. Music was a little on the loud side so was struggling to chat with the people we ate with. All in all a nice place, tidy and very attentive staff.

The food was good but allergies could be listened to better. Despite asking several times whilst ordering my food arrived with things on that I'm allergic to. Upon pointing this out to the waiter who didn't seem very bright, they took it in the kitchen and simply removed the allergens. As a result I left hungry

Got sat outside like a leper because we had dogs, only to be forgotten about. Never got served even after going back inside to mention it. Don’t bother if you have dogs

Nice restaurant inside however the so called "disabled" toilet wasn't big enough for a wheelchair user! Food was overpriced for a very greasy fish goujon and chips.

Visited 1 week ago, lovely blonde lady took our reservation and was very welcoming to us and our little dog. The restaurant has a great feel to it, loved the vine that grows throughout the place. Food is great and plenty of it, cocktails are fab and how lucky were we to be there when there was entertainment on - fantastic singer doing lots of motown and soul. Honestly say the visit here was one of the highlights of our weekend.

Looked welcoming when we walked past but didn't have time to stop in. Maybe next time 💜

Myself and my family decided to visit Charlotte’s Glass House for the second time in a while. To start, we had a variety of food including, Halloumi Fries, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Strips and Dirty Mac N Cheese. These were all delicious dishes that me and my family all enjoyed. Next, we had our main dishes, these were, The GlassHouse Stack Burger, Muscles, The Breaded Chicken Burger and The Sirloin Steak. Even though the GlassHouse Stack Burger was a lot, my son devoured it leaving few crumbs. Next, the muscles were the best dish there, the sauce was delicious and the muscles were just perfect. Now, the Breaded Chicken Burger was delicious but poor service since Mayo wasn’t delivered when asked to be on the burger. Lastly, the Sirloin Steak, it was cooked very nice, medium rare, but it was just too fatty for me. Finally, my son and my niece finished it off with a sticky toffee pudding and a brownie. These two dishes were delicious and definitely the best part of their night.

Food and service was excellent, and a fantastic restaurant overall. Only issue was they have live music which came on at 8.45 which was exceptionally loud and we hadn't had our main course so there were people dancing right next to the table and a singer walking around with a roving mic. Don't let that put you off, just something to be aware of, You either like or loathe that sort of thing, so ask when you book. As I say food is awesome and staff excellent.

This is a beautiful place to eat... But the only down fall is that it's on the expensive side... It cost me £10.50 just for a glass of white wine that I'd had with my lunch... If I'd known it was so expensive, I wouldn't have had one... Anyhow... You live and learn!!!

Stopped for some dinner. we liked the look of the glassroom. It was well worth the visit.

The place is stunning and stuff is excellent! Very stylish restaurant, however we paid £12 per 3 scallops, which is crazy considering the place is next to the sea.. pretty upsetting for a starter. We ordered two different burgers afterwards and they were both a little bit dry, especially buns. Wine was good, dessert was delicious. Unfortunately, the aftertaste after paying £12 for 3 scallops ruined everything.. left £80 per two in the restaurant, we wish it was a little bit more value for this money.

Found this place online while looking for dog friendly places to eat in Filey. It did not dissappoint! Absolutely lovely good, atmosphere & staff. We will definitely be returning here

Really good, food is lovely as is the decor.

The food is so reliable in terms of standards. The seafood menu is great. We had the mussels which were really tasty. A bit pricey at almost £19 for a main course, but plenty of them. The pizzas are fantastic. Nice base and toppings. The service is always good. Very friendly.

Pretty looking restaurant but the service was terrible. Waited about 20 minutes for someone to take our food order and when we asked for the bill at the end, nothing was brought over to us so after about 10 minutes my partner just got up and paid at the bar. Just to add, it didn't seem very busy, in fact they were telling people food was stopping at the time we asked for the bill. £75 for a J2o and a pint, 2 pizzas and a lasagne which in my opinion, for how mediocre and bland the food was, was hugely overpriced. The food wasn't bad, it was just meh and definitely not worth what we paid.

Dropped by for drinks and what a lovely find, this place has twinkle lights and friendly staff and do GF food too, brunch, lunch and evening menus. Look forward to returning there.

We ate here on a Thursday evening, we had seats in the garden room at the rear, which was very nice, although the bench seats were slightly uncomfortable after a while (would benefit from some cushions!)

Myself and my husband visited on a cold night, restaurant was very inviting. I said I was cold and the lovely waitress turned the heating on close to where we were sitting. I had Scampi, plentiful with chips and salad, my husband had Steak pie, he did enjoy it but it had definitely been in the oven a little too long.

Very poor Mothers Day Sunday Lunch, literally 2 tiny scallops as a starter swimming in sauce, tasteless lunch and bone dry SeaBass, such a shame as the first visit a few months ago Charlottes was lovely but on this occasion well below par 👎👎

Went Saturday, absolutely fab, beef borg, fish pie, prawn starter, graze bowls, pizza, burger, pasta were great. , 12 of us, all loved it, staff fabulous, prices fab, great portions 😊😊

Charging £1.50 for half pint kids squash is utterly disgusting and totally unacceptable was it made with pure water from the alps. We ordered kids scampi got 6 chips, barely cooked scampi, peas lemon and tartare sauce. we only had a drink as food was expensive, not sure if prices were raised for the eat out scheme I think so that's why such expensive orange squash. Will Not return

The place has gone to the dogs… the entire restaurant was full of dogs. We were the only couple without one, and most were feeding theirs from the table. Where is the hygiene and health and safety? Shocked, Horrified and won’t be going back.

Had a group Xmas lunch here today. First class food and service! Best turkey ever.

We (4) went for Sunday lunch at a 2.15pm time slot. Had food to table very quickly by 2.25. Suggests all was pre-prepared and not fresh. However it wasn't bad at all. Down Point really was that the restaurant, in the Glass House, was cold. Heating should've been on. We had to leave after main, could not languish over drinks or order pudding as we were, indeed, cold. Sunday November 12th, 2023.

Great food and stunning decor. Lunch menu reasonably priced with good sizes

The service and food was great, the staff were friendly and Harvey (the Dog) sat quietly under the table. We had the Sunday Dinner and could not fault it 🙏🏻

It was the first time visiting Filey and the Glass House and we were not disappointed! The food was incredible, the belly pork is to die for! Amazing interior with the grape vines, such a great atmosphere. Being new parents to a 5 month old, it was our first 'date night' with our little one and was just what the doctor ordered. Would highly recommend!!

Had a fantastic evening last night. We were up dancing as soon as we got in there with an act doing northern soul and motown. Soul Sista was amazing and will definitely try to see her again. The staff were outstanding and lovely place to spend the night. What an atmosphere.

Only had a tuna wrap watery and cold salad wa just a garnish took lover 30 minutes so had already drank my coffee ha to ask how much longer it would be ,arrived 2minutes later obviously forgot about us,Won't be going back

Nice place, been here before for a good hearty breakfast before it was modernised. Not sure if they still do breakfast anymore as it was good. Nice food however and good speedy service all under the second oldest indoor vine.

Dog friendly pub.great food a good place for a family meal

Stumbled across the glass house of charlottes while looking for another pub. What a fantastic place friendly staff and owner food was fantastic atmosphere great. Had lunch on the Wednesday and enjoyed the place that much tried to book for evening meal on the Thursday but understandably it was fully booked. If ever back in filey would always go here.

Meal for 4 of us here while holidaying in Filey. Menu varied and looked quite upmarket with the pricing. Food was OK and of an average standard, but nothing amazing about it. Staff let this place down and the reason for our low review score. No nice welcome on entry. At no point during or after our meal did anyone ask us if everything was OK. We were never asked if we wanted another drink after finishing our first ones. At the end of the meal we were not asked if we had finished as they started clearing the table. Finally we were just left sitting there, no mention of asking if we'd like a dessert menu and we then had to get up to go to the bar and get someone's attention to get the bill and pay. We been to Filey on holiday for 16 consecutive years and always on the look out for different places to eat, this place won't be on the list again. Overpriced for what it is and poor attitude from the staff.

Lovely little corner plot, dogs are welcome so thats nice. Service lacking in ways, walking to an empty restaurant bar and being told to go to the main bar ( with no staff ) is not exactly welcoming. Was going to eat here as food reviews seem good, however manager coming out shouting who's ordered what coffee etc because of their mistake has definitely put us off. Such a shame Maybe a bad day 😕 No parking I could find nearby

We ate here during a recent stay in Filey. The Glass House at Charlotte's is very impressive and a place that Filey has needed for a while. The menu is good with a lot of choices for different tastes. Portion sizes were good and the food was excellent. The service was efficient and the staff very efficient. I booked in advance and I am glad I did because the restaurant was busy. I will definitely visit again when staying at Filey in the future.

The food was nice, if unspectacular. The premises is a lovely place though and the service very attentive. Recommended.

Great place with the grapevine running through eating area. Seafood was amazing and it is sourced locally from Whitby. The mussels in the moule marinere were enormous. Seabass was also amazing. So good we went back and ate there again.🥰🐟🥰

Well what a find in the middle of fish and chip central.. Lovely main area with a huge vine tree filling the ceiling. The menu gave a wide taste expierience for the diner. Cordial unobtrusive service brought drinks and took our food order . The standard of fare was excellent at a moderate price. I will make this my default eatery when visiting the area.

Don't understand this venue, they don't serve tea or coffee after three o'clock . To be fair I believe most pubs and restaurants will serve a hot drink at any time

What a fabulous little find this place was. We stumbled upon it by chance and so glad we did. The interior throughout is beautiful. It features a 230 year old grape vine running throughout the restaurant which is stunning. The setting really was special. The food was incredible and the portions huge. We had a freshly caught flamborough dressed crab with salad, tuna nicoise salad and loaded fries. Paired with a cosmopolitan cocktail and a coke. The service was swift and attentive. We will most definitely be revisiting for the evening menu and bringing the family. It is advisable to book for an evening. Highly recommend a visit.

Didn't know this place existed till my niece showed us. Loved our experience there, was like being abroad and having had a sunny week in Filey, it completed our final day. We'll be visiting every time we visit Filey now. Only 1 little fault, not enough alcohol in the cocktails...felt short measured which stopped 5 star rating

First time visit. Love the place itself and the decor made you feel like you were abroad. Varied menu the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and food was served very promptly. We will definitely return.

Lovely atmospheric/bar. We only stopped for a drink. The service was a bit indifferent but made up for by the ambience.

We went for a meal on Saturday I don't think kids should be allowed in after 6 as it says families welcome but have drunks falling all over the place not right when your eating

Visited here with a young child, 3 people in total. Very welcoming, food was great with good portion sizes too! We sat in the Glasshouse which was lovely!

Booked a table for four based on reviews. Service was as you would expect on a busy night but the food was well below par Plaice fillet was ok, lasagne and pork belly below average.Vegetables were under cooked and not really edible. Staff full of apologises and gave us 50% discount on the food bill which helped to ease our disappointment with the meal

Ok, we've tried to get in here a few times and we finally got in. The food didn't really taste of anything and was very mediocre. Wouldn't visit again

The lasagne I had was absolutely lovely. Had to ask for a smaller portion of chips though! My husband had sea bass and they were quite willing to change the cous cous for chips without question. The meal was hot, the staff were very helpful, very friendly. The whole evening was lovely. Would go there again and would certainly recommend the restaurant. We'll done staff and of course the Chef. Much appreciated.

Visited twice now. The first time I put the poor service down to it being the end of a busy Bank Holiday for them, so the staff must have been exhausted, but on my second visit, a normal day for lunch lite bites, the service was poor again. When trying to speak with two different waitresses, they walked away mid sentence TWICE, causing confusion and wrong drinks. Such a lovely place, but unfriendly staff because as when I mentioned my mojito tasted like lime juice and nothing else, again walked away mid sentence, then eventually I think it was the manager that came over, and abruptly questioned what was wrong with it, then rather aggressively stated she had made 15 of them today with no complaints.. can't say I will be returning.
