Stopped off for a pint after a walk around Paull with Oscar, dog 🐕 friendly. Staff were very friendly. Enjoyed the the pint.

Whiteheads has been a real favourite of ours for years. Went in this lunch time. First thing I noticed is the coxes have changed. Smaller.Tow regular haddock which were of vastly different sizes. Poor portion of chips to boot (which we shared), and a corned beef pattie which had no corned beef in at all. Terrible! The fish was flat. Tasteless and dry. Batter was soggy and wet. Bitterly disappointing. We’ve happily driven an hour to go here in the past but will think seriously before going here again after today’s experience. You’ve earned a great reputation over a long time but there’s something going seriously wrong here. It’s nowhere near good enough. Sort it out!

Nice little place in Pocklington great food and good beer - lovely place to come to on a sunny day and have a beer outside 😊

Brilliant pub, nipped in when passing had a great meal with excellent service 😀 will definitely be back

The only reason i’m giving Atmosphere 3/10 is because there’s was not many people in maybe 2 or 3

Called for Sunday lunch after seeing Facebook pictures. Lovely fresh home cooked food, beef melted in the mouth. Chatty staff who were genuinely interested in making you feel welcome. Regular size plate £10, great value for money. Smaller and larger plates available. We will be back. Thank you.

I read on Google is was a good chip shop and we were nearby, so we went for fish and chips. The food was excellent, the haddock was tasty, hot and perfectly battered. The two ladies serving were fantastic, worked together as a team, got the orders done, communicated to each customer and kept the queue flowing. The lady serving was very polite and gave a parting "enjoy the rest of your evening". We will definitely be back when in Withernsea again. Thank you.

Had a great lunch here this week. Enjoyed a few cocktails as well which were nice. Price is fair and decor is tasteful. Staff were nice and friendly but maybe could do with some further knowledge on allergens. Will certainly be back

Encantador como siempre - obviamente se mean entrenando a un miembro del personal, ya que el servicio es un poco más lento de lo normal, pero es mejor obtener nuevo personal entrenado antes de que comience la temporada. Desafortunadamente no recibí salsa de chile con mi halloumi y no me di cuenta hasta que llegué a casa. Pero absolutamente delicioso

Shame the stars only go up to 5 as this place deserves more! Lovely warm welcome when we entered (myself, Mum and Sis) by a lovely lady behind the counter. We took our seats, which was quite amusing as we are all under 5' but we had a giggle getting up on the seats/benches which only made our visit more fun - and gave the owner a giggle too, as well as my Sis getting stuck on the chair! Having done some research we knew what we wanted so off we go to order two Knickerbocker Glory's and one 3 Scoop Sundae (which took some deciding from the 22 different flavours!) Have to say, my KG was absolutely gorgeous - so much fruit and jelly too, not all Gelato as in other places. My Mum and Sis enjoyed their KG and Sundae too. Was funny when the owner piped up with "That's what I like to hear - silence. It means you're all enjoying it!" to which Mum replied "It's not often we're all this quiet!" Such lovely welcome, lovely clean surroundings, so much choice, reasonable prices, lovely creamy Gelato and a good giggle and chat with the owner - what more could you ask for? Could be easily missed so please check out this place, you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to my piece of Flapjack which I brought home for later - perfect ending to a wonderful Birthday :) :) Will definitely be back :)

Sunday lunch absolutely lovely!!! Friendly staff, and Caroline was so lovely and so helpful she made sure we had all ww needed to enjoy our Sunday lunch!!!

Everything was loverly, my husband and I, attended for valentines evening, serenaded by the amazing Edwina Hayes. Sharing starters and deserts and scrumpy mains, I had the steak and hubby had the chicken. This was Edwinas 19th valentines evening she had performed . We will be back again. The Facilities was clean and fresh, with lots of extras , such as baby wipes, hand cream etc.

We attended a fun private party at the Capricorn. Potential to be good but drinks a problem I Don't drink lager or beer so ordered a whisky almost finished a double when I saw loads of dead flies, looked like fruit flys, in the bottom of my glass. Took this to staff who just took it and did not offer a replacement. Later I saw them remove the bottle from the shelf and pour down the sink. Yuk.

Tuvimos nuestra boda aquí el 17 de abril de 2025 , y fue nada menos que perfecta. Desde el principio, el equipo fue increíblemente comprensivo, receptivo y genuinamente invertido en hacer nuestro día lo más especial posible. Escucharon nuestras ideas, ofrecieron sugerencias útiles y aseguraron que todo funcionara sin problemas de principio a fin. El lugar en sí es impresionante, elegante, cálido y lleno de carácter, con hermosos espacios tanto para la ceremonia como para la recepción. Nuestros huéspedes no podían dejar de felicitar el entorno, el flujo del día y el ambiente en general. Gracias especiales a Jenny y Becky que fueron más allá para cuidar de nosotros. Manejaron el horario a la perfección, nos apoyaron detrás de escena, y se aseguraron de que pudiéramos relajarnos y disfrutar de cada momento. No podríamos haber pedido un lugar mejor para celebrar este hito en nuestras vidas. ¡Gracias por darnos recuerdos que atesoraremos para siempre!

Nice welcome friendly staff. Limited gluten free options staff were unsure if items could be adapted to be gluten free. They said there was a risk of cross contamination so not suitable for ceolliac. Food that we had was well cooked and tasty.
