Fantastic service from the new manager Jess. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Laura was polite and helpful with showing us the new app which has so many great deals. Looking forward to returning

Absolutely spot on brekky with the family. Food was made by the kitchen manager Sally and Jess was there to take our order. All staff were lovely and the pub seemed very clean. Would return again for the food

Lovely atmosphere. Extremely dog friendly...cheeky sausage for the pooch..service fab. Chef Emily came out to clarify items on our order. Food was excellent, reasonably priced pub food and a friendly family environment. Our dog loves it and they love him.

Pub is lovely but gone down hill. A shame really but the new manager does not speak about the staff in a nice manner at all. Sad really when the staff are all so lovely

Had a wonderful meal and drinks with my friends midweek. Staff were all really welcoming, Sydney took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be visiting again soon, pub seems to be thriving under the new management.

We came to watch the Manchester Derby on Sunday the 3rd of March 2024 and it was incredibly busy but fair play to all the staff. They were so efficient, they all worked so hard, and were so lovely, welcoming and friendly. Laura and Connor, in particular, were excellent. The food was absolutely magnificent. So glad Sally is staying. Jess has done and changed so much in such a short time and for the better. Absolutely delighted she’s the new landlady because she’s working so hard and doing such an incredible job. She fully deserves to be where she is now because it’s a much better experience. Superb staff, superb food, superb service.

Lasagna was absolutely delicious my partner has just about worked his way through the menu… all food as always been excellent… Love Thursday afternoons in Granby great atmosphere with the lovely Tim hosting bingo, raffle your card and quizzes.. Finishing with great food.

Lovely pub with a great beer garden. Enjoyed lunch here with my friends, shall certainly visit again when I'm in the area :-)

Came for a meal with my family on a busy Saturday and the service was exceptional. We ordered the katsu chicken, cheese burger and a kids meal for my daughter which included a dessert! We were served by Laura who had a service with a smile.

Really happy with my time here at granby, place was busy and full of excitement and Jess the manager was as amazing, was so kind and helpful and made us feel really welcomed! Would definitely return again

What a lovely place to visit! Just popped in for a quick coffee, Jess is so lovely and welcoming will definitely be back. Shame I don’t live closer or this would be my regular place. Will be returning for one of the many events they have planned. Everyone needs a Jess in their work place!

Food was lovely as always and didnt take long to arrive at my table. Laura made me feel very welcome and made sure I was well looked after.

Gammon overcooked peas and tomato not cooked enough only showed the heat. Wife steak was really chewy wanted medium rare was more medium, gammon tough over cooked. tomato had just been shown to griddle still raw. The only plus was they did cook the egg how I wanted it and chipsvwere cooked well wouldn't eat here again need better chef's that know what there doing. I could to better even though i am not a trained chef Took meat home for the two dogs there not so fussy.

We went in last saturday for a meal and a couple of pints, it's quite a regular thing. It was quite busy and we were lucky to get a table after waiting about 5 minutes. My partner went to order and was gone some time...

Popped in for a drink (or 3). Friendly crowd and staff. It was late afternoon/early evening with plenty of vocal sparring and laughs.

Comfortable, decent beer service pretty good, I'd be happy to have it as a local, but worth a visit as a tourist.

I went today and the staff are rude I needed a table for a wheelchair the lady wasn't helpfully at all we finely sorted somewhere to sit and then picked our food to be told there wasn't any being told this befor we had sorted somewhere to sit would of been helpful as we would have walked out and found somewhere else to eat but they only had 3 things on the menu when the food came it wasn't up to much at all the garlic bread was soggy the lasagne had next to no meat in it and its very small they didn't seam bothered about what they served it was a special occasion today why we went out I will never be going back there again so don't waist ur money getting food from this place and don't expect much from the staff

I came to Granby for a meal with my partner for our usual date meal. I ordered the rump steak and As I don't like chips or peas I normally have it substituted for sweetcorn and mash for no extra charge, when my partner ordered from Jade who was tending the bar at the time not only did she charge extra for the substitution but after my partner asked initially for a jacket potato but then repeated twice to jade that mash is fine which jade did not appear to listen to.

Great food at a surprisingly good price for the area. Dog and family friendly too, makes this one of my new favourite go to places.

A lovely big traditional pub in Hessle Square. The Marquis of Granby is a pub I often call into when in Hessle. Good pub food nice beer including some excellent hand pulled cask conditioned real ale friendly atmosphere, staff warm and very welcoming. A very nice proper community pub. A good sized car park and a nice beer garden. Dog friendly.

We ordered cheese and mac and gammon which came freshly cooked and well presented. Real aie was adnams ghost ship which was sonice i had to have another.

Four of us just popped in for a drink after a meal elsewhere. We ended up having 2 rounds. The staff, particularly Josh, were very helpful and friendly. Didn't have Shiraz but I can recommend the Malbec as an excellent alternative. Very clean too.

Fun evening. Josh was a happy and exceptional barman. He provided delicious beverages. Would recommend!

Very disappointing. Party of 6 came for lunch, 4 meals arrived after 45mins, after a while we chased the other two meals and was handed the salad we had ordered, the remaining meal (cheese salad wrap and chips) was chased again, and was told ‘the kitchen is really busy’ - as if it was my fault - looking round there was hardly anyone in the pub, it finally arrived (when everyone else had finished their meal) with not even an apology and the chips were hardly cooked and inedible. Not sure why a cold wrap and under-cooked chips would take over an hour to prepare when the pub was not exactly busy.

Visited to have some decent food, we ordered and paid then realised on the next table someone was Vaping with a big cloud of Vape ! You are allowed to vape in this establishment , in my opinion not nice when you are eating indoors!!

Never bee before not much of a pub person. But it was nice and spacious. Very nice seating area outside with cover. The kids had a .nachos plate and chips can't remember how much cos I'd had a few by then ( the kids are 18 and 22 so not being a bad parent 😆). But was tasty and not too expensive. Was quiet when we went in a Tuesday but im told it can be very busy over weekends.

We all had a great time at the Princess brunch organised by Granby! The staff was lovely and welcoming! Food was lovely and the entertainment was fantastic my 2 little girls had the best time and loved their little boxes they got with a few treats in! Defiantly be doing this again! Thankyou!

What a great pub. A meeting with old school friends was made delightful by a very attentive member of staff Jess, not often you see someone so helpful and friendly. Good lovely... great atmosphere and the warm welcome will certainly bring us back.

There were 12 of us there today for breakfast and to watch the coronation. We had young kids with us and one adult in a wheelchair. Jess, the manager couldn't have done more to look after us and Sally in the kitchen cooked a fab breakfast for us all. Staff here are lovely and food and drink is well priced.

one pub we often go in for drinks and a meal.good service but staff tend to serve regulars first.food can take while to arrive but no probs with it.only complint is to turn the laged tvs of when eating.dont come to watch boxing or spots...

Ordered 2 breakfasts a pot of tea & a cappuccino. Asked for a tray to carry drinks back to table staff member said he didn't know where they were ..a kind lady helped carry other drink as staff didn't offer, The tea tasted like the water had been boiled over & over .. a horrible aftertaste..think the hot water still needs flushing out & cleaning ..staff changed drink he used hot water from the coffee machine ..still didn't taste right but not as bad thankfully. Cappuccino was a bit watery too unfortunately. Breakfast came fairly prompt & was lovely and well worth the price ..my mother had been a lot of times previously & said how nice it was but service & standards had dropped recently & staff shortages were a problem meaning some days food wasn't on The guy serving was pleasant enough & well-meaning, but I think he just needs a bit of training ..he did come & check drink was OK & asked if we enjoyed our breakfast to which we told him it was lovely & he relayed that to the chef. A few tweaks here & there & it would have been spot on ..venue was lovely, seating area clean & ample parking where they refund your £1 parking inside the pub ..planning to bring my kids for main meal soon as they are reasonably priced & have meal & drink combos

Went in a few weeks back for breakfast. Only a few people eating so found a table easily enough. Went to the bar and was asked to give the bartender a minute. She disappeared and came back a couple minutes later saying "sorry, we're not serving food at the moment." It's not the first time I've made a trip to the pub for something to eat to be told they're not serving food but being told that while people are eating without further explanation was odd. Visited again for a few drinks recently and had a much better time although I doubt I'll use the pub for food from now on.
