Town centre pub. Perfectly located, excellent drinks and service. Not eaten here......yet! Some weeks later...... Had a superb meal here: tasty and moderately priced 😀

First time there went for Sunday roast absolutely great.

Just had Sunday lunch here and wow. Absolutely wonderful. One of the best Sunday Roasts I’ve had. The Cauli Cheese was amazing. The stuffing was superb and everything was fab. Will be eating here again soon.

Went here for Sunday Roast. Haven't been in here for many years and was impressed how nice it is. Nice chairs and tables and very nice, efficient staff. Food was really nice and plenty of gluten free options as I'm a Coeliac. Nice choice of drinks. Really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be returning for Sunday lunch again soon. Busy, good atmosphere. We booked a table online. Highly recommended.

The historic station Hotel is a nice place to call in for a drink. There is a good range of beers, lagers, and cider including two hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales which were very nice when i called in. It's a nice cosy pub, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pub is dog friendly.

Very friendly staff at this centrally located pub opposite the church in the town of Pocklington. Ahhh, but then these two 'temples of learning' are always next to each other wherever you go - if you want one, look for the other, it's always close by! Handpulled cask beers were Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Black Sheep. Dog friendly pub. I was tempted here due to their food, a very good lure! I almost ordered a main but was assured that the soup was a good portion. Broccoli and Stilton, very yum, homemade to boot. Thick, tasty and very, very good. Came with super fresh bread roll and 'bu'ah'. I shall be returning to sample more of their menu. Great food, great staff, good combo.

Beautiful food been on a Saturday and Sunday and wasn't disappointed. I recommend the spinach and Ricotta Canelloni. Staff are really friendly and the pub has a great atmosphere

I’d booked a table in advance for somewhere to sit then to eat between a rehearsal and a concert. I’d requested a quiet spot if possible and it was perfect. 4 of us arrived instead of 2 as our professional soloists came too and the staff were absolutely fabulous in accommodating the change. I’d ordered a cup of tea first which to my surprise and pleasure came with a teapot, cup and saucer. We all ordered food and it was all well made, well presented and seriously delicious. There was background noise but only of happy customers (and a dog I think) but I was really impressed and relieved by the lack of music blaring. This meant we could talk to each other and be heard by each other. For singers enjoying a meal before a concert the sound level is really important and I know the two professional soloists appreciated the environment. We left around 6.55pm so it may have become louder for the evening but for us it was perfect. Thanks to all the bar staff, delivering staff and especially the cook. Superb. Thank you to the staff for a really memorable meal.

Pleasant place but very quiet for a Saturday night. More staff than customers but the wine was good.

Thought we would chance it being a Sunday. We were not disappointed... The service was excellent could not do enough for you. The food? Freshly cooked local produce... Absolutely delicious. We will be back.. Thank you team for making our Sunday a yummy delight

No atmosphere and very quiet. Table booked and mentioned this, did not ask for name and said sit anywhere you want. Had a great seat by the window and food was good. Just lacked atmosphere

We went for a meal... it was amazing. Standard prices and absolutely amazing. There was 6 of us. The staff were lovely and friendly, the pub bit was really nicely decorated and cosy and the food was immense. I got 2 of us got burger, 2 got steak and ale pie and 2 got lasagne. All of us were really happy. I got cookie dough and ice cream. Everything was so lovely

Been here a few times for lunch when visiting the area, have to say it’s the best pub food we’ve all had for many years utterly amazing for both food and service with extremely friendly staff. Can highly recommend this place we will definitely be returning here.

After being let down by another eating place in the town, my friends and I popped in the Station last night to see if we could get food. The place was very busy but we were soon able to order food. After a reasonable wait the food arrived and we were not disappointed. It was plentiful and well presented. I would definitely recommend eating here.

A super Sunday lunch with great friendly service and well above average food!

After trying to find somewhere to get a Sunday roast yesterday we dropped in and had the most amazing dinner. Landlord incredibly friendly, made us feel very welcome & the staff were very polite & attentive. Food was amazing, and served piping hot & presented excellently. Will go again when over camping at the Mile campsite again. Next time we will come straight to you for drinks too.... cheers

I enjoy the ambience, quality of the beer and wine, and cheerful staff. I haven't eaten there since they changed the menu, but there are always plenty of diners, will need to arrange a meal there asap.

Very impressed with the place, sometimes you don’t have big expectations but then you find it’s a gold mind. The pub is a perfect example of what a pub should be its relaxed yet very atmospheric and a lively buzz about it. The staff are chilled happy people who enjoy their job. If your in Pocklington then don’t miss an opportunity to visit this place can’t recommend it enough.

On holiday in the area, hadn’t booked. The staff were friendly and attentive. We all had the Sunday dinner of roast beef. Amazing!!! Roast as well as mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and carrots on the plate with additional cauliflower cheese and cabbage arriving at the table. Very reasonably priced for what we had. Delicious

My wife, GS dog and I are staying at Pocklington on holiday. We went to The Station Hotel for a Sunday lunch. The roast beef meal was superb and the staff and service were excellent. Would, without doubt recommend The Station Hotel

Pocklington has few places open at lunchtime, this is one. Food is good for prices. Atmosphere is lacking and staff are disinterested.

Absolutely amazing service and food As a vegetarian and coeliac many places make me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This place was amazing with and incredibly varied and thoughtful menu. You could ask for any adaption and they would gladly do it for you. The waiter even offered his opinion on which of the sausages we best! Couldn’t be better- puts other places to shame

I booked a table for my family, 20 of us altogether, for Sunday lunch. The service was excellent, our meals came out together and they even kept the gravy flowing 😃 the food was delicious, hot and tasty. I would definitely recommend The Station Hotel for family get-togethers or a just a lovely meal out.

Food poisoning and massively overcharged

Absolutely awful, got food poisoning, DO NOT EAT THEIR, service was slow, staff was rude, petulant young staff, heard the microwave ping the food was that bad then they charge restaurant prices, beer was flat, furniture was uncomfortable

Nice pub in the centre of Pocklington, serving classic English dishes. Reasonable prices on food, small beer garden to rear, dog friendly. We were a walk in so booking not always required. Bit of a delay on food due to mix up but got there eventually.

If you want to eat at 2pm and you are still sat there at 2.50pm with no cutlery, order taken with no communication then this is the place for you otherwise avoid unless you are a local then you get treated differently. I definately did book for 2pm and you had my phone number because you rang me to confirm the booking. Nobody told us you where busy with hardly any staff. I do not wish to receive a voucher as I will not be returning thank you.

We were only visiting Pocklington for the weekend, we found this by good luck as we were looking for somewhere to eat. The soup I had was sensational broccoli & Stilton, my husband had tomato & basil thoroughly recommended! The cannelloni with trimmings and gammon etc. I certainly will return and obviously eat here. You must try it to believe it.

Good home cooked food, nice surroundings, good service

Lovely Sunday lunch, plenty of meat and vegetables. Staff friendly and efficient. One thing spoilt it the plates were cold therefore the food soon became cold.

Great tasting food and plenty of it, friendly staff and very accommodating. I rang up at the last minute for a party of 5/9 and the person I spoke to did their best to squeeze us in. We were not to be disappointed, delicious steak and ale pie, lovely chili con carne, succulent gammon and perfect lasagne. Had dinner at the local golf club the following day at a wedding, shame we didn't get the same sort of food or service.

We were walking through pocklington and happened upon this little pub, as it stands it was one of the only places serving food mid afternoon. Upon first glance I must admit I thought it looked a bit shabby but how wrong I was. The interior far surpasses the exterior, clean,cosy and modern. The lady behind the bar was delightful and the food exceeded our expectations. We had the steak and ale pie which was absolutely huge and had a surprising amount of beef. We also opted for puddings,the Eton mess,cookie dough and fudge cake were all gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit if you are in pocklington and proves the saying,don't judge a book by its cover.

It was our autistic sons 30th and we are vegan one vegan and gluten free which is very difficult diet to cater for. I asked with short notice if they could accommodate this and was greeted with a friendly yes 👍. Everyone enjoyed the buffet even meat eaters and the quality was amazing. The gluten free and vegan option was well catered for. And the options for food was fantastic. The best of all was the mushroom vol au vents. Those were amazing 🤩 The bar staff couldn’t do enough to help and made the day stress free and special I would totally recommend this pub as they look after you and cater over and above expectations. 😊🤩👍🥰❤️

Really great. Nice guys served 3 of us, we were knackered and ready for a nice pie and chips. On the button. Nothing fancy, just decent. Classic pub deserts too. Doing the simple things well.

Excellent traditional pub, a great atmosphere, really pleasant staff and surroundings.The menu is a wonderful, tasty, traditional list of pub food in large amounts at very reasonable prices, what's not like. I will definitely be visiting here again, highly recommended.

Best place in Pocklington to have a nice pint and some really nice meals as well, pricewise is the cheapest place in Pocklington, gotta love it.

My husband is a celiac which means he can not eat ANYTHING CONTAINING GLUTEN .(MAKES HIM ILL) Here they have a gluten free menu which is good. Unfortunately he did get something that contain gluten .Did ring them and got an apology .Staff young lady on the bar was friendly .Nice clean place . unfortunately can't go back .

What can we say about this place....exceptional.. !! Been here a few times now to eat, and they never fail to disappoint. The food is excellent, hot and very nice. We never have long to wait either... All the staff are friendly, and Eddie the owner is lovely, they honestly can't do enough. Dog friendly too 🦮 Thanks once again, we will definitely return. 🙂🙂

As always a fantastic meal and drinks, the service was first class cant recommend this pub enough, The best pub in pocklington in my opinion.

10/10!! Fabulous food and drink selection. High quality of produce used... The beef is absolutely out of this world cooked to perfection. Also home made real Yorkshire puddings yum !! Make sure you book to avoid disappointment x

Great pub. Food is good, beer is good and well priced considering the average in Pocklington is quite high, and the atmosphere is always good. Pub tends to get late 20s- up clientel, so not often any silly business in there. Always cater well to kids of any age, and dogs are always welcome which is a bonus.

Came across this place as we’re staying local! Absolutely lovely home cooked meals with a very warm welcome as well as they accepted our little princess 🐶 lovely evening had by all!
