Nice little bar downstairs, well worth popping in for a few drinks and the design your own pizzas are really nice, had a few different combinations and all of them were fantastic, upstairs has a nice booth seating area and another smaller bar

Popped in here whilst walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way. Was warmly greeted. Ordered a bacon and brie panini a cappuccino and a coke. Food arrived swiftly. Everything was delicious. Would highly recommend a visit. Thank you for a very welcome stop.

Very pleasant cafe, park in Tesco just at rear of cafe if none available on street. Friendly welcome, good service, excellent coffee, teas and cakes plus a good range of interesting ice creams and sorbets, highly recommend this for morning coffee or afternoon tea.

Very poor milkshakes. You get 1 scoop of nice ice cream from the front, and then the rest is cheap ice cream from the back and a lot of milk. The milkshake is very runny , and they use soooo much milk. You also have to pay extra for cream on top. The straws I found were no good and chocolate would get stuck inside. These were new thin straws previous were thicker. For the price I would expect better and other places do offer better. Wouldn't buy it again Edit to respond to comment. I was standing there watching the milkshakes being made. I've brought these twice now once I didn't see and was hoping it was a one off. 2nd time I was watching staff male it and it explains why the milkshake was so watery and lacks flavour

We’re local and visit Gelato regularly, probably once a week, usually just for coffee and lunch although I’ve eaten there on Tapas Thursday. We always find the service excellent, very friendly staff and I love the ham and cheese ciabatta they sell, our grandchildren love the choice of ice cream that they can get in a tub or a cone. Table seating inside is very comfortable and we sit outside when the weather is favourable.

Great selection of gelato, milkshakes, smoothies, coffees, and teas. They also do cakes, panins, wraps, pizzas and tapas on certain days, too. They don't have much of a selection for vegans or though 👎. There's a bar attached with a vast gin selection, a few rums and whiskeys, and beer on tap. The owners are very friendly and the staff are very welcoming. Perfect place for hot chocolate on a cold day or a gelato treat on a hot summer day. There's a large projector screen upstairs for watching the Euros atm.

Good place to sit outside on a summer's day and watch the world go by. Sanwiches are tasty. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Nice place, good atmosphere, but the service isn't great and they allow dogs inside despite having an outdoor seating area which often leads to canines barking furiously at each other which isn't what you want when you go for a quiet drink.

Perfect variety of lunch options plus snacks/ sweet treats , drinks & more! Service is quick & everyone is so lovely and friendly! & the atmosphere is the cherry on top! Always our go-to place when in the area!

Please note that this was my experience of Gelato lounge. It's been a long time since last Visited. Believe me it will be even longer until next visit. Ordered 2 hot chocolates. I paid. I returned to the counter. I queried the price. Boy was I put in my place, I'd read the wrong price .I was made to feel very very uncomfortable in front of an almost full cafe. This person needs to learn about customer care, ie if you're having a bad day don't take it out on a customer who made a genuine mistake. Won't EVER visit again!!! Obviously no reply from the owner, surprise, surprise!You reply to good reviews but, Don't, won't to bad reviews. If I get great service at an establishment I say so, if I don't, I tell you why. If it's extremely poor customer service (treatment) I don't EVER visit again.

Asked staff to purchase a four scoop ice cream (£5.50) but asked it to be split in to 3 paper tubs for our under 2 to share. Staff member proceeded to do so, then attempted to charge it as 3 separate ice cream orders(£9.40). When I queried that I explicitly asked for a 4 scoop order and split and that effectively I was being asked to pay £3.90 for two of the paper tubs, the staff member shrugged and said well it's classed as three orders. Now if this was said at the outset or I was told we couldn't split a 4 scoop order like that, that would have been something but to accept my request, prep the ice cream and then pull what is in my opinion, a bait and switch and then shrug when queried is terrible customer service. As the staff were unwilling to budge or raise with a manager we declined to proceed with purchase. Furthermore,my wife has pointed out their signage that offers the ability to purchase extra cones with your order for 50p/each, further emphasising that it is possible to split a multi scoop order. We were visiting the local area viewing houses and did also order a pizza and chips here but due the overwhelmingly poor customer service we will not be visiting Gelato Lounge again.

My grandsons love Gelato, we visit every Thursday after school for mostly a delicious ice cream. I enjoy a slice of cake & a coffee, both are lovely. The ambience is very chilled, despite it being a busy place. It is very clean, it's over 2 floors, and the top floor is not accessible for wheelchair users. Lower ground is wheelchair accessible & friendly. They also have outside seating area in front of the Lounge, which is not too far from a busy road, so adult supervision would be required outside. The only downside I can mention is that hot food is no longer sold except hotdogs.

Thursday night sharing board was delicious! Will definitely be back ☺️

First time visit. Called whilst on a cycle ride. Outdoor seating or seating inside with big windows to keep an eye on the bikes. Good choice of cakes and snacks , reasonably priced too. 👏👏

Friendly staff average coffee nice atmosphere.

I often pop into Gelatos with my 2 year old son and enjoy a coffee. The coffee is always spot on. Very friendly atmosphere and always good music playing. They also offer 3 types types of flavoured thatchers ciders which are all lovely.

We regularly visit with the children for their delicious ice-cream. Very cosy place to visit upstairs. 7 year old review - it's a nice place to talk together and has kind staff (I'm sure the ice-cream has something to do with it also)

A great discovery after a long walk. The panini sandwiches we ordered were delicious (meatball melt and a chicken and pesto) and came with a little serving of crisps. We then went back for ice creams which were delicious. Staff were polite, service was quick and all reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit!

Good place to visit for a cake and coffee on a dismal day. Nice choice of cake and ice cream as well as chocolate drink. Dogs welcome and dog ice cream by Burgess of Beverly.

If you want to get out of the house and socialize it's a nice place to go to,with warm drinks and lovely paninis/sandwiches. Not as good for introverts/neurodivergent/mesophonic persons . As there could be plenty of children and can get noisy. You create your own atmosphere. And it's the most cost place in Market Weighton

Called in for an ice cream for myself and my mother. Mum has dementia and wouldn’t get out the car so I was faced with two trips to the car to get them safely there. The lady serving me offered to bring it out to the car for my Mum. Great customer service and wonderful gelato!

After waiting 10 minutes to be served after the staff finished their gossip conversation I was refused to purchase a take away glass of milk for my child!

Very nice little place I found in Market Weighton while waiting for my car being repaired. Situated at the entrance to Tesco so very easy to find. Unusually Tesco do not have a cafe so this is a great location. I thoroughly enjoyed a piece of carrot cake and a pot of tea upstairs in this cafe. I was the only one up there but they were busy downstairs. Very good service from the staff which is always important. I will be back if I am back in the area.

Being locals we enjoying going here with family and friends for food, drinks and ice creams. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Food etc delicious. The only thing missing is a baby change facility..even just a baby change mat in the toilet would be helpful as the only current place to change is on the toilet floor which is not hygienic.

I took my daughter into this place last summer for a treat. The waitress was very pleasant to other customers; but extremely rude to me. It was very obvious, other people were looking, my 12 year old daughter noticed too. She slammed my drink down on my table so hard that the ice flew out and hit my foot. It was the most bizarre thing. So my daughter and I approached this woman to ask her what on earth her problem was. Wanna know what she said? 😂😂😂 ‘I didn’t like the way you walked in here’ 😂😂😂😂 I swear. So I was treated badly because this woman didn’t like the way I walked, infront of my child. So my daughter scolded her, loudly, for being a pathetic child and told her that her jealousy of her mother made her look very silly. Fancy being told off by a 12 year old because you’re jealous. Hahahahahaha. Pathetic!

Got myself an Oreo Supershake and it was so good I went back the next day for another! Slightly pricey but you do walk away satisfied so can't complain 🙂

Lovely coffee and limited selection of toasted sandwiches. Only one vegetarian option. Would like to see cheese and onions or ham and tomatoes as an option as not a lover of ham and cheese together.

A couple of days ago I was here waiting for my fiancé to meet me for coffee and can I just say , the cheek on some people . I sat and witnessed a customer approach one of the staff infront of everyone and be so blatantly rude . This lady came in from sitting outside with her young daughter and was asking weird questions loud enough for me to hear , such as “have you got a problem “ and “ are you jealous of me” which I found most bizarre. She then seemed to get more angry and storm off ? I must give it to the staff member , she handled it calmly and was a lot politer then I would have been .

Walked in to this little place at approximately 12.30 on the 24th July to treat my little girl to an iced coffee. The waitress with a purple t shirt and a pony tail treated me with blatant rudeness and scorn in comparison to other customers that were being served, even slamming my iced coffee on the table without saying a word, knocking a piece of ice onto my foot and no apology. My daughter - who is only 11 - exclaimed ‘goodness mum, she was rude; she must be jealous of you!’ I challenged this waitress about her attitude calmly, pulled her to one side and asked her if everything was ok. She said she didn’t think so due to the way ‘I stormed in’. Good grief, we walked in normally! My daughter told her to cease her behaviour which was much in line with a 5 year olds. I’d like to say to this girl - whatever you have against me - which couldn’t have been anything other than jealousy, it’s not an attractive trait, and treating customers like that will not only cost you your job but will threaten the business as a whole. And I’m pretty certain businesses these days can’t afford to be losing customers. Outraged.

Very friendly and very welcoming and efficient staff. Owners are top draw. Place is very clean and tidy. All in all very pleasant atmosphere.

Decided to pop in after shopping in Tesco and had Latte and ham and cheese panini! Absolutely amazing! Coffee was the best and panini was perfect! It was so nice to just chill and have coffee whilst my son napped! I totally recommend this place ❤ xxx
